  • using multi-markers with multi info-windows

    I have an array of info-windows corresponding to an array of markers. Now, I have a problem, I use the below code to generate an info-window, when clicking on the marker all the markers disappear unless one, also when I click on that marker there is no info-window come out. What is the wrong with my code ? or what shall I do ? Any answer will be very appreciated, Thanks in advance.   • exporting html table multi line columns to excel multi line cells

    I have a html table in a view MVC4 that I am sending to excel as output. Inside the view page I have some columns that have multiple lines that are built with forloops within the HTML. What's the best way to add the or \r\n so that excel renders it correctly? I have a table and inside I build each row looping thru a recordset. In each row I also loop thru different recordsets to populate columns within each row so that some of the columns may contain more than one value and they should show in different lines in the table that will export to excel.

  • Report Model; problem regarding many-to-many relations

    I'm having trouble setting up a report model to create reports with report builder. I guess I'm doing something wrong when configuring the report model, but it might also due to change of primary entity in report builder. I have 3 tables: Client, Address and Product. The Client has PK ClientNumber. The Address and Product both have a FK relation on ClientNumber. The relation between Client and Address is 1-to-many and also between Client and Product: Product-(many:1)-Client-(1:many)-Address. I've created a report model (mostly auto generate) with these 3 tables, for each table I've made an Entity. Now on the Client Entity , I've got 2 roles, Address and Product. They both have a cardinality of 'OptionalMany', because Client can have multiple Addresses or Products. On both Address and Product I have a Client Role with cardinality 'One', because for each Address or Product, there has to be a Client (tried OptionalOne as well...). Now I'm trying to create a report in Report Builder (2.0) where I select fields from these three entities. I'd like an overview of Clients with their main address and their products, but I don't seem to be able to create a report with fields from both Address and Products in it. I start by selecting attributes from Client, and as soon as I add Product for example the Primary entity changes as if I'm selecting Products (instead of Clients). This is a basic example of a problem I'm facing in a much more complex model. I've tried lots of different things for 2 days, but I can't get it to work. Does anyone have an idea how to cope with this? (Using SSRS 2008)

  • Multiple model forms with some pre-populated fields

    Hi! Hope somebody can help me, since I've been stuck for a while with this... I switched to another task, but now back to the fight I still can't figure out how to come out from the black hole xD The thing is as follows: Let's say I've got a product model, and then a set of Clients which have rights to submit data for the products they've been subscribed (Many to Many from Client to Product). Whenever my client is going to submit data, I need to create as many forms as products he's subscribed, and pre-populate each one of them with the "product" field as long as perform a quite simple validation (some optional fields have to be completed if it's client's first submission). I would like one form "step" for each product submission, so I've tried formWizards... but the problem is you can't pre-assign values to the forms... this can be solved afterwards when submitting, though... but not the problem that it doesn't allow validation either, so at the end of each step I can check some data before rendering next step. Then I've tried model formsets, but then there's no way to pre-populate the needed fields. I came across some django plugins, but I'm not confident yet if any of them will make it.... Did anybody has a similar problem so he can give me a ray of light?     Dear all, In my company I must use a Bll, Dal and model layer for creating applications with a database. I've learned at school that every databasetable should be an object in my model. so I create the whole model of my database. Also I've learned that for every table (or model object) there should be a DAO created into the DAL. So I do this to. Now i'm stuck with the BLL classes. I can write a BLLclass for each DAO/ModelObject or I can write a BLLclass that combine some (logic) DAO's... Or i can write just one Bllclass that will manage everything. (this last one I'm sure it aint the best way..) What is the best practice to handle this Bll 'problem'? And a second question. If a bll is in need of tablecontent from an other table where it aint responsible for, whats the best way to get the content? Go ask on the responsible BLL or go directly to the DAO? I'm struggling with these questions the last 2 months, and i don't know what is the best way to handle it.

    I have a Rails application that lists information about local services. My objectives for this model are as follows: 1. Require the name and tag_list fields. 2. Require one or more of the tollfreephone, phone, phone2, mobile, fax, email or website fields. 3. If the paddress field has a value, then encode it with the Geokit plugin. As for encoding with Geokit, in order to save a record with the model I have to enter an address. Which is not the behavior I want. I would like it to not require the paddress field, but if the paddress field does have a value, it should encode the geocode. As it stands, it always tries to geocode the incoming entry. The commented out "if paddress_changed?" was not working and I could not find something like "if paddress_exists?" that would work. Help with any of these issues would be greatly appreciated. I posted three questions pertaining to my model because I'm not sure if they are preventing each other from working. Thank you for reading my questions.

  • Forms Auth: have different credentials for a subdirectory?

    My website has forms authentication, and all is well. Now I want to create a subdirectory and have it also password-protected, but! I need the subdirectory to use a completely different set of logins/passwords than the whole website uses. Say, for example, I have users for the website stored in the "Users" table in a database. But for the subdirectory, I want the users to be taken from the "SubdirUsers" table. Which probably has a completely different structure. Consequently, I need the logins to be completely parallel, as in: Logging into the whole website does not make you logged into the subdirectory as well Clicking "logout" on the whole website does not nullify your login in the subdirectory And vice versa I do not want to create a separate virtual application for the subdirectory, because I want to share all libraries, user controls, as well as application state and cache. In other words, it has to be the same application. I also do not want to just add a flag to the "Users" table indicating whether this is a whole website user or the subdirectory user. User lists have to come from different sources. For now, the only option that I see is to roll my own Forms Auth for the subdirectory. Anybody can propose a better alternative?

  • OO Design / Patterns - Fat Model Vs Transaction Script?

    Ok, 'Fat' Model and Transaction Script both solve design problems associated with where to keep business logic. I've done some research and popular thought says having all business logic encapsulated within the model is the way to go (mainly since Transaction Script can become really complex and often results in code duplication). However, how does this work if I want to use the TDG of a second Model in my business logic? Surely Transaction Script presents a neater, less coupled solution than using one Model inside the business logic of another? A practical example... I have two classes: User & Alert. When pushing User instances to the database (eg, creating new user accounts), there is a business rule that requires inserting some default Alerts records too (eg, a default 'welcome to the system' message etc). I see two options here: 1) Add this rule as a User method, and in the process create a dependency between User and Alert (or, at least, Alert's Table Data Gateway). 2) Use a Transaction Script, which avoids the dependency between models. (Also, means the business logic is kept in a 'neutral' class & easily accessible by Alert. That probably isn't too important here, though). User takes responsibility for it's own validation etc, however, but because we're talking about a business rule involving two Models, Transaction Script seems like a better choice to me. Anyone spot flaws with this approach?

    This one seems painfully obvious to me, but for some reason I can't get it working the way I want it to. Perhaps it isn't possible the way I am doing it, but that seems unlikely. This question may be somewhat related: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1274855/asp-net-mvc-model-binding-related-entities-on-same-page. I have an EditorTemplate to edit an entity with multiple related entity references. When the editor is rendered the user is given a drop down list to select related entities from, with the drop down list returning an ID as its value. <%=Html.DropDownListFor(m => m.Entity.ID)%> When the request is sent the form value is named as expected: "Entity.ID", however my strongly typed Model defined as an action parameter doesn't have Entity.ID populated with the value passed in the request. public ActionResult AddEntity(EntityWithChildEntities entityWithChildEntities) { } I tried fiddling around with the Bind() attribute and specified Bind(Include = "Entity.ID") on the entityWithChildEntities, but that doesn't seem to work. I also tried Bind(Include = "Entity"), but that resulted in the ModelBinder attempting to bind a full "Entity" definition (not surprisingly). Is there any way to get the default model binder to fill the child entity ID or will I need to add action parameters for each child entity's ID and then manually copy the values into the model definition?

So the question is how can I organize pagination through model data (getComments). Is there a "beatiful" method to get comments from 5 to 10, not all, as getComments returns by default.

    Hello, I am writing website and i`d like to implement profile managment. Basic thing would be to edit some of user details by themself, like first and last name etc. Now, i had to extend User model to add my own stuff, and email address. I am having troubles with displaying form. Example will describe better what i would like achieve. This is mine extended user model. class UserExtended(models.Model): user = models.ForeignKey(User, unique=True) kod_pocztowy = models.CharField(max_length=6,blank=True) email = models.EmailField() This is how my form looks like. class UserCreationFormExtended(UserCreationForm): def __init__(self, *args, **kwargs): super(UserCreationFormExtended, self).__init__(*args, **kwargs) self.fields['email'].required = True self.fields['first_name'].required = False self.fields['last_name'].required = False class Meta: model = User fields = ('username', 'first_name', 'last_name', 'email') It works fine when registering, as i need allow users to put username and email but when it goes to editing profile it displays too many fields. I would not like them to be able to edit username and email. How could i disable fields in form? Thanks for help.

  • Forms authentication: disable redirect to the login page

    I have an application that uses ASP.NET Forms Authentication. For the most part, it's working great, but I'm trying to add support for a simple API via an .ashx file. I want the ashx file to have optional authentication (i.e. if you don't supply an Authentication header, then it just works anonymously). But, depending on what you do, I want to require authentication under certain conditions. I thought it would be a simple matter of responding with status code 401 if the required authentication was not supplied, but it seems like the Forms Authentcation module is intercepting that and responding with a redirect to the login page instead. What I mean is, if my ProcessRequest method looks like this: public void ProcessRequest(HttpContext context) { Response.StatusCode = 401; Response.StatusDescription = "Authentication required"; } Then instead of getting a 401 error code on the client, like I expect, I'm actually getting a 302 redirect to the login page. For nornal HTTP traffic, I can see how that would be useful, but for my API page, I want the 401 to go through unmodified so that the client-side caller can respond to it programmatically instead. Is there any way to do that?

    Hi, I', trying to re-format a date from a table in Codeigniter. The Controller is for a blog. I was succesfull when the date conversion happens in the View. I was hoping to convert the date in the Model to have things in order. Here's the date conversion as it happens in the View.   • In Rails, a Sweeper isn't getting called in a Model-only setup

    I'm working on a Rails app, where I'm using page caching to store static html output. The caching works fine. I'm having trouble expiring the caches, though. I believe my problem is, in part, because I'm not expiring the cache from my controller. All of the actions necessary for this are being handled within the model. This seems like it should be doable, but all of the references to Model-based cache expiration that I'm finding seem to be out of date, or are otherwise not working. In my environment.rb file, I'm calling config.load_paths += %W( #{RAILS_ROOT}/app/sweepers ) And I have, in the /sweepers folder, a LinkSweeper file: class LinkSweeper < ActionController::Caching::Sweeper observe Link def after_update(link) clear_links_cache(link) end def clear_links_cache(link) # expire_page :controller => 'links', :action => 'show', :md5 => link.md5 expire_page '/l/'+ link.md5 + '.html' end end So ... why isn't it deleting the cached page when I update the model? (Process: using script/console, I'm selecting items from the database and saving them, but their corresponding pages aren't deleting from the cache), and I'm also calling the specific method in the Link model that would normally invoke the sweeper. Neither works. If it matters, the cached file is an md5 hash off a key value in the Links table. The cached page is getting stored as something like /l/45ed4aade64d427...99919cba2bd90f.html. Essentially, it seems as though the Sweeper isn't actually observing the Link. I also read (here) that it might be possible to simply add the sweeper to config.active_record.observers in environment.rb, but that didn't seem to do it (and I wasn't sure if the load_path of app/sweepers in environment.rb obviated that).

  • Single Instance of Child Forms in MDI Applications

    In MDI application we can have multiple forms and can work with multiple forms i.e. MDI childs at a time but while developing applications we don't pay attention to the minute details of memory management. Take this as an example, when we develop application say preferably an MDI application, we have multiple child forms inside one parent form. On MDI parent form we would like to have menu strip and tab strip which in turn calls other forms which build the other parts of the application. This also makes our application looks pretty and eye-catching (not much actually). Now on a first go when a user clicks a menu item or a button on a tab strip an application initialize a new instance of a form and shows it to the user inside the MDI parent, if a user again clicks the same button the application creates another new instance for the form and presents it to the user, this will result in the un-necessary usage of the memory. Therefore, if you wish to have your application to prevent generating new instances of the forms then use the below method which will first check if the the form is visible among the list of all the child forms and then compare their types, if the form types matches with the form we are trying to initialize then the form will get activated or we can say it will be bring to front else it will be initialize and set visible to the user in the MDI parent window. The method we are using: private bool CheckForDuplicateForm(Form newForm) { bool bValue = false; foreach (Form frm in this.MdiChildren) { if (frm.GetType() == newForm.GetType()) { frm.Activate(); bValue = true; } } return bValue; } Usage: First we need to initialize the form using the NEW keyword ReportForm ReportForm = new ReportForm(); We can now check if there is another form present in the MDI parent.   • Calculate an AABB for bone animated model

    I have a model that has its initial bounding box calculated by finding the maximum and minimum on the x, y and z axes. Producing a correct result like so: The vertices are then stored in a VBO and only altered with matrices for rotation and bone animation. Currently the bounds are not updated when the model is altered. So the animated and rotated model has bounds like so: (Maybe it's hard to tell, but the bounds are the same as before, and don't accurately represent the rotated/animated model) So my question is, how can I calculate the bounding box using the armature matrices and rotation/translation matrices for each model? Keep in mind the modified vertex data is not available because those calculations are performed on the GPU in the shader. The end result I want is to have an accurate AABB the represents the animated model for picking/basic collision checks.

  • Windows Forms Development - Books

    So I'm reading a book for architecting applications for the enterprise from the Microsoft Press. It's a great book, and I'm learning a lot. However, it's very high level, and can be applied to a lot of different domains (not even just .NET, even though that's how the book is geared). The first project I want to develop after reading the book is a Windows Forms application in .NET 4.0. I want to use a lot of the books concepts to develop the app, but I really want a great Windows Forms dedicated book to read before starting that's really going to tell me all I need to know about developing Windows Forms apps. I found plenty of books for .NET 2.0 and stuff, but nothing for Windows Forms in the new .NET 4.0 Framework. Any suggestions?
