  • Multiple parameters vs single parameter(object with multiple properties)

    - by Shwetanka
I have an Entity Student with following properties - (name, joinedOn, birthday, age, batch, etc.) and a function fetchStudents(<params>). I want to fetch students based on multiple filters. In my method I have two ways to pass filters. Pass all filters as params to the method Make a class StudentCriteria with filters as fields and then pass the object of this class While working in java I always go with the second option but recently I'm working in php and I was advised to go with the first way. I am unable to figure out which way is better in maintaining the code, reusability and performance wise. Thanks.

  • aspect parameter validation [closed]

    - by user12558
Hi, Im doing a POC using Aspectj. class BaseInfo{..} class UserInfo extends BaseInfo{..} class UserService { public void getUser(UserInfo userInfo){..} public void deleteUser(String userId){..} } I've defined an advice, that gets invoked when I pass an UserInfo instance. But when i try to pass the BaseInfo, the advice is not getting invoked. Below block executes the afterMethod as expected for getUser. &ltaop:pointcut id="aopafterMethod" expression="execution(* UserService.*(..,UserInfo,..))" / &gtaop:after pointcut-ref="aopafterMethod" method="afterMethod" / But when i try to give BaseInfo instead of UserInfo, the aspect is not getting triggered. Am i missing something? Kindly help me on this issue.

  • wso2 ESB: server configuration CRITICAL

    - by nuvio
My Scenario: I have server_1 (192.168.10.1) with wso2-ESB and server_2 (192.168.10.2) with Glassfish-v3 + web services. Problem: I am trying to create a proxy in ESB using the java Web Services, but the created proxy does not respond properly. The log says: Unable to sendViaPost for http or https does not change the result. I think I should configure the axis2.xml but I am having trouble, and don't know what to do. What is the configuration for my scenario? Please help me! EDIT: To be clear, I can directly consume the WebService in the Glassfish server, it works normal, both port and url are accessible. Only when I create a "Pass through Proxy" in the ESB, it does not work. I don't think is matter of Proxy configuration...I never had problems while deployed locally, problems started once I have uploaded the ESB to a remote server. I really would need someone to point me what is the correct procedure when installing the ESB on a remote host: configuration of axis2.xml and carbon.xml, ports, transport receivers etc... P.S. I had a look at the official (wso2 esb and carbon) guides with no luck, but I am missing something... Endpoint of Java Web Service: http://192.168.10.2:8080/HelloWorld/Hello?wsdl ESB Proxy Enpoint: http://192.168.10.1:8280/services/HelloProxy The following is my axis2.xml configuration, please check it: <transportReceiver name="http" class="org.apache.synapse.transport.nhttp.HttpCoreNIOListener"> <parameter name="port" locked="false">8280</parameter> <parameter name="non-blocking" locked="false">true</parameter> <parameter name="bind-address" locked="false">192.168.10.1</parameter> <parameter name="WSDLEPRPrefix" locked="false">https//192.168.10.1:8280</parameter> <parameter name="httpGetProcessor" locked="false">org.wso2.carbon.transport.nhttp.api.NHttpGetProcessor</parameter> <!--<parameter name="priorityConfigFile" locked="false">location of priority configuration file</parameter>--> </transportReceiver> <!-- the non blocking https transport based on HttpCore + SSL-NIO extensions --> <transportReceiver name="https" class="org.apache.synapse.transport.nhttp.HttpCoreNIOSSLListener"> <parameter name="port" locked="false">8243</parameter> <parameter name="non-blocking" locked="false">true</parameter> <parameter name="bind-address" locked="false">192.168.10.1</parameter> <parameter name="WSDLEPRPrefix" locked="false">https://192.168.10.1:8243</parameter> <!--<parameter name="priorityConfigFile" locked="false">location of priority configuration file</parameter>--> <parameter name="httpGetProcessor" locked="false">org.wso2.carbon.transport.nhttp.api.NHttpGetProcessor</parameter> <parameter name="keystore" locked="false"> <KeyStore> <Location>repository/resources/security/wso2carbon.jks</Location> <Type>JKS</Type> <Password>wso2carbon</Password> <KeyPassword>wso2carbon</KeyPassword> </KeyStore> </parameter> <parameter name="truststore" locked="false"> <TrustStore> <Location>repository/resources/security/client-truststore.jks</Location> <Type>JKS</Type> <Password>wso2carbon</Password> </TrustStore> </parameter> <!--<parameter name="SSLVerifyClient">require</parameter> supports optional|require or defaults to none --> </transportReceiver>

  • ASP.NET MVC F# controller action ignoring parameter

    - by Matt H
Hi. I have a C# ASP.NET MVC project but my controllers are written in F#. For some reason, the following code doesn't work properly. namespace MvcApplication8.Controllers open System.Web.Mvc [<HandleError>] type ImageController() = inherit Controller() member x.Index (i : int) : ActionResult = x.Response.Write i x.View() :> ActionResult The parameter of the action is seemingly ignored. http://localhost:56631/Image/Index/1 = The parameters dictionary contains a null entry for parameter 'i' of non-nullable type 'System.Int32' for method 'System.Web.Mvc.ActionResult Index(Int32)' in 'MvcApplication8.Controllers.ImageController'. An optional parameter must be a reference type, a nullable type, or be declared as an optional parameter. Parameter name: parameters The controller otherwise works fine. I know that plenty of people have written F# mvc code, so, any ideas where I'm going wrong?

  • Action method expected parameter named Id and nothing otherwise

    - by codingbiz
The Error The parameters dictionary contains a null entry for parameter 'UserId' of non-nullable type 'System.Int64' for method 'System.Web.Mvc.ActionResult Predict(Int64)' in 'sportingbiz.Controllers.PredictionController'. An optional parameter must be a reference type, a nullable type, or be declared as an optional parameter. Parameter name: parameters This does not work. Throws the error mentioned above http://mysite/User/Profile/15 This works http://mysite/User/Profile/?UserID=15 The Controller Action public ActionResult Profile(long UserID) { } When I changed the parameter name to Id it works. I think it's because Id was specified in the route collection (Global.asax). Is it possible to tell MVC that UserId should map to Id without changing it in the Global.asax

  • Passing a parameter using RelayCommand defined in the ViewModel (from Josh Smith example)

    - by eesh
I would like to pass a parameter defined in the XAML (View) of my application to the ViewModel class by using the RelayCommand. I followed Josh Smith's excellent article on MVVM and have implemented the following. XAML Code <Button Command="{Binding Path=ACommandWithAParameter}" CommandParameter="Orange" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Style="{DynamicResource SimpleButton}" VerticalAlignment="Top" Content="Button"/> ViewModel Code public RelayCommand _aCommandWithAParameter; /// <summary> /// Returns a command with a parameter /// </summary> public RelayCommand ACommandWithAParameter { get { if (_aCommandWithAParameter == null) { _aCommandWithAParameter = new RelayCommand( param => this.CommandWithAParameter("Apple") ); } return _aCommandWithAParameter; } } public void CommandWithAParameter(String aParameter) { String theParameter = aParameter; } #endregion I set a breakpoint in the CommandWithAParameter method and observed that aParameter was set to "Apple", and not "Orange". This seems obvious as the method CommandWithAParameter is being called with the literal String "Apple". However, looking up the execution stack, I can see that "Orange", the CommandParameter I set in the XAML is the parameter value for RelayCommand implemenation of the ICommand Execute interface method. That is the value of parameter in the method below of the execution stack is "Orange", public void Execute(object parameter) { _execute(parameter); } What I am trying to figure out is how to create the RelayCommand ACommandWithAParameter property such that it can call the CommandWithAParameter method with the CommandParameter "Orange" defined in the XAML. Is there a way to do this? Why do I want to do this? Part of "On The Fly Localization" In my particular implementation I want to create a SetLanguage RelayCommand that can be bound to multiple buttons. I would like to pass the two character language identifier ("en", "es", "ja", etc) as the CommandParameter and have that be defined for each "set language" button defined in the XAML. I want to avoid having to create a SetLanguageToXXX command for each language supporting and hard coding the two character language identifier into each RelayCommand in the ViewModel.

  • Overwrite previous output in Bash instead of appending it

    - by NES
For a bash timer i use this code: #!/bin/bash sek=60 echo "60 Seconds Wait!" echo -n "One Moment please " while [ $sek -ge 1 ] do echo -n "$sek " sleep 1 sek=$[$sek-1] done echo echo "ready!" That gives me something like that One Moment please: 60 59 58 57 56 55 ... Is there a possibility to replace the last value of second by the most recent so that the output doesn't generate a large trail but the seconds countdown like a real time at one position? (Hope you understand what i mean :))

  • No output devices in sound settings - therefore, no sound

    - by Kev Quirk
I've just performed a fresh install of Ubuntu 13.10, and I've noticed that sound isn't working. When I go to sound settings, I can see that there is absolutely no sound devices detected. However, I do have my speakers installed and turned on, plus my machine has an internal speaker as well. I've seen other posts where people mention that they have "Dummy device" listed, this isn't the problem here, the output device section is completely blank. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Kev

  • Using SQL Server's Output Clause

When you are inserting, updating, or deleting records from a table, SQL Server keeps track of the records that are changed in two different pseudo tables: INSERTED, and DELETED. These tables are normally used in DML triggers. If you use the OUTPUT clause on an INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE or MERGE statement you can expose the records that go to these pseudo tables to your application and/or T-SQL code.

  • How come the ls command prints in multiple columns on tty but only one column everywhere else?

    - by David Lou
    Even after using Unix-like OSes for a couple years, this behaviour still baffles me. When I use the ls command in a directory that has lots of files, the output is usually nicely formatted into multiple columns. Here's an example: $ ls a.txt C.txt f.txt H.txt k.txt M.txt p.txt R.txt u.txt W.txt z.txt A.txt d.txt F.txt i.txt K.txt n.txt P.txt s.txt U.txt x.txt Z.txt b.txt D.txt g.txt I.txt l.txt N.txt q.txt S.txt v.txt X.txt B.txt e.txt G.txt j.txt L.txt o.txt Q.txt t.txt V.txt y.txt c.txt E.txt h.txt J.txt m.txt O.txt r.txt T.txt w.txt Y.txt However, if I try to redirect the output to a file, or pipe it to another command, only a single column appears in the output. Using the same example directory as above, here's what I get when I pipe ls to wc: $ ls | wc 52 52 312 In other words, wc thinks there are 52 lines, even though the output to the terminal has only 5. I haven't observed this behaviour in any other command. Would you like to explain this to me?

  • How can I pause console output in rxvt?

    - by Javid Jamae
I'm running rxvt in Cygwin on a Windows box. This is how I invoke it: rxvt -sr -sl 2500 -sb -geometry 90x30 -tn rxvt -fn "Lucida Console-14" -e /usr/bin/bash --login -i Anyone know how to pause the console output in rxvt? I can use Ctrl-S / Ctrl-Q to pause / un-pause, but this won't work if a script is already running and spewing output to stdout. Highlighting the terminal window with the mouse doesn't seem to work like with other consoles such as the standard Cygwin console, or the Windows command prompt console. Some sort of scroll lock would be nice, but I can't seem to find any way to do this. I know I could just pipe my output to a file, but I want a way to pause the output for something that I didn't expect to explode with console output. Basically I want to scroll back while its running without it constantly moving me to the bottom of the output buffer as it updates more data to stdout. I don't particularly care if the solution given actually pauses the script (like when you highlight the mouse in the Windows Command window), or just scroll locks and let's me scroll while its still running the underlying script, though I'd like to know how to do both if its possible.

  • How to setup Dual Head with "radeon" driver for R770?

    - by user1709408
I want to make dual head setup without xrandr but with Xinerama. I put "Screen 1" line into xorg.conf, but card still show identical output on DVI-2 and DVI-3 It is important to use xinerama for me (to glue three monitors), that's why i decide not to use ranrd (randr is incompatible with xinerama as i read somewhere) Here is my videocard (HD 4850 X2): lspci | grep R700 03:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI R700 [Radeon HD 4850] 04:00.0 Display controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI R700 [Radeon HD 4850] Here is how monitors are connected: grep "DVI" /var/log/Xorg.0.log [ 1210.002] (II) RADEON(0): Output DVI-0 using monitor section Monitor0 [ 1210.048] (II) RADEON(0): Output DVI-1 has no monitor section [ 1210.079] (II) RADEON(0): EDID for output DVI-0 [ 1210.080] (II) RADEON(0): Printing probed modes for output DVI-0 [ 1210.128] (II) RADEON(0): EDID for output DVI-1 [ 1210.128] (II) RADEON(0): Output DVI-0 connected [ 1210.128] (II) RADEON(0): Output DVI-1 disconnected [ 1210.128] (II) RADEON(0): Output DVI-0 using initial mode 1920x1200 [ 1210.160] (II) RADEON(1): Output DVI-2 using monitor section Monitor2 [ 1210.215] (II) RADEON(1): Output DVI-3 has no monitor section [ 1210.246] (II) RADEON(1): EDID for output DVI-2 [ 1210.247] (II) RADEON(1): Printing probed modes for output DVI-2 [ 1210.299] (II) RADEON(1): EDID for output DVI-3 [ 1210.300] (II) RADEON(1): Printing probed modes for output DVI-3 [ 1210.300] (II) RADEON(1): Output DVI-2 connected [ 1210.300] (II) RADEON(1): Output DVI-3 connected [ 1210.300] (II) RADEON(1): Output DVI-2 using initial mode 1920x1200 [ 1210.300] (II) RADEON(1): Output DVI-3 using initial mode 1920x1200 Here is my /etc/X11/xorg.conf Section "ServerFlags" Option "RandR" "0" Option "Xinerama" "1" EndSection Section "ServerLayout" Identifier "Three Head Layout" Screen "MyPrecious0" Screen "MyPrecious2" RightOf "MyPrecious0" Screen "MyPrecious3" LeftOf "MyPrecious0" EndSection Section "Screen" Identifier "MyPrecious0" Monitor "Monitor0" Device "Device300" EndSection Section "Screen" Identifier "MyPrecious2" Monitor "Monitor2" Device "Device400" EndSection Section "Screen" Identifier "MyPrecious3" Monitor "Monitor3" Device "Device401" EndSection Section "Device" Identifier "Device300" BusID "PCI:3:0:0" Screen 0 Driver "radeon" EndSection Section "Device" Identifier "Device400" BusID "PCI:4:0:0" Screen 0 Driver "radeon" EndSection Section "Device" Identifier "Device401" BusID "PCI:4:0:0" Screen 1 Driver "radeon" EndSection Section "Monitor" Identifier "Monitor0" EndSection Section "Monitor" Identifier "Monitor2" EndSection Section "Monitor" Identifier "Monitor3" EndSection I tried to switch to vesa driver (didn't work for me) I tried to add options like Option "ZaphodHeads" "DVI-2" and Option "ZaphodHeads" "DVI-3" into sections "Device 400" and "Device 401" (this didn't help because "ZaphodHeads" option is for ranrd, and randr is disabled by decision) I tried to merge sections "Device 400" and "Device 401" into one section and add Option "ZaphodHeads" "DVI-2,DVI-3" (see comment about randr above) single section setup helps to change log line RADEON(1): Output DVI-3 has no monitor section into RADEON(1): Output DVI-3 using monitor section Monitor3 but nothing was enough to switch from screen cloning to separate screens. This problem (lack of documentation on radeon driver) is similar to these: Radeon display driver clones monitors while using Xinerama (moderators decision to close that problem was wrong) Ubuntu 12.10 multi-monitor setup isn't working The problem is solvable, because this hardware worked as three headed for me earlier with gentoo/xorg-server-1.3 Xorg -configure creates setup for the first monitor on the first GPU Please don't advise to use fglrx/aticonfig/amdcccle (this goes against my religion beliefs)

  • Kerberos: Running an app with a parameter using krenew

    - by Mihai Todor
I need to run an application with krenew, but the application also needs to receive a parameter via command line and I need to send its output to a file. From the documentation, it looks like this should do the trick: krenew -t -- sh -c 'compute-job > /afs/local/data/output' but, unfortunately, when I run the command below: krenew -s -- sh -c './my_app config.xml > results/test.txt &' the application just dies after a while and I can see from the output of ps aux that krenew is not running along with my_app. I am not sure what the parameter -t does, and as far as I can see, if I run krenew -s ./my_app, it works properly. I hope someone can clarify this.

  • Extending ASP.NET Output Caching

One of the most sure-fire ways to improve a web application's performance is to employ caching. Caching takes some expensive operation and stores its results in a quickly accessible location. Since it's inception, ASP.NET has offered two flavors of caching:<ul><li><b>Output Caching</b> - caches the entire rendered markup of an ASP.NET page or <a href="http://www.asp101.com/lessons/usercontrols.asp">User Control</a> for a specified duration.</li><li><b>Data Caching</b> - a API for caching objects. Using the data cache you can write code to add, remove, and retrieve items from the cache.</li></ul>Until recently, the underlying functionality of these two caching mechanisms was fixed - both cached data
