• WEB-INF/lib jars not found in JBoss 4.0.2 war deploy

  I have a simple web application (one jsp and one servlet) file that I've copied into jboss-4.0.2/server/default/deploy folder and it has successfully hot deployed as I can access the jsp page. However, when I invoke the servlet, I am getting a java.lan.NoClassDefFoundError. I suspect that the jars under the WEB-INF/lib directory within the war is not being picked up. The structure of my war is: META-INF --> MANIFEST.MF WEB-INF --> classes --> ...*.classes --> lib --> jcommon-1.0.16.jar jfreechart-1.0.13.jar servlet-api.jar index.jsp Anybody else have classloading issues in JBoss 4? • Convert scientific notation to decimal notation

  There is a similar question on SO which suggests using NumberFormat which is what I have done. I am using the parse() method of NumberFormat. public static void main(String[] args) throws ParseException{ DecToTime dtt = new DecToTime(); dtt.decToTime("1.930000000000E+02"); } public void decToTime(String angle) throws ParseException{ DecimalFormat dform = new DecimalFormat(); //ParsePosition pp = new ParsePosition(13); Number angleAsNumber = dform.parse(angle); System.out.println(angleAsNumber); } The result I get is 1.93 I didn't really expect this to work because 1.930000000000E+02 is a pretty unusual looking number, do I have to do some string parsing first to remove the zeros? Or is there a quick and elegant way?

  I cannot figure out how to set an array to one of two sets of numbers (there will be more later), every way that I have tried throws some kind of error. I have tried to Dim the array inside the case statements, but then I cannot use the array in the For Each, which makes this worthless.... any ideas would be appreciated. • calling a function or communicating from one browser window to another using Jquery / javascript

  Hello, I am designing a web site that plays music. The music player itself will be in a separate window along with the now playing list. I want to be able to refresh the now playing list when a new song is added to it from the main window. Essentially I need to figure out how to communicate between the two windows. I was only able to find one plugin on line that defines the player page as a child of the main page but then this reference would be lost after the parent page i.e my main page was refreshed. So this was not very useful to me and I'm kinda lost atm.   I'm trying to use the EWS API to access an Exchange server from a console program i'm writing. I've specified the type of exchange server i'm connecting to but when I try to execute the code i have, it gives me Error 1 The type 'System.TimeZoneInfo' is defined in an assembly that is not referenced. I need to know how much was displayed so I can display the rest later! I can easily measure an amount of text, but it seems silly to do a search by rendering and re-rendering my text over and over until I find the piece that fits exactly. Thanks!

  ok, so I ran into problems with Boost under visual studio 2010, so I decided to rebuild it with bjam: such as: bjam --toolset=msvc-10.0 --build-type=complete After running bjam (successfully?) it created a new directory under boost_1_42_0 called: bin.v2 Inside bin.v2 is directory called: libs. Two issues: 1. there's lot less libs under that new directory (about 13), the old directory libs has 88. Is it supposed to be like that or did something fail? 2. the structure is somewhat different too. What do I do with this exactly? Meaning, do I copy it over to the original libs, delete the old libs, try rebulding it with different flags?

It works fine connecting the first time on one connection but if I close that connection and open a new one in the same script it gives me an error. test.vbs(13, 1) Microsoft Office Access Database Engine: ODBC--connection to '{Oracle in OraClient10g_home1}DB_NAME' failed. This is some code that triggers the error. TABLE_1 is an ODBC linked table in the test.mdb file.   I am not sure why other people have not asked this before. But have you notice that the asp:Calendar shows an extra week at the end? For example if the VisibleMonth is set to 2010-03-01 and FirstDayOfWeek to Sunday: It will show 6 weeks. Feb 28 to March 6 March 7 to March 13 March 14 to March 20 March 21 to March 27 March 28 to April 3 April 4 to April 10 I was wondering why Microsoft shows the last Row which is entirely on April. I tried to search the net for a property but it does not seem to be existing. The only solution that I could think of is to override the Pre_Render and check all individual date if they are still within the week of the VisibleDate. But of course that is an extreme checking since each rendering of the control shows it.

• How to reduce compilation times with Boost Asio

  Boost.Asio is great library but it has one huge drawback -- extreamly slow compilation times. A simple implementation (really simple) of HTTP protocol (about 1k lines of code) requires about 13.5s to compile under GCC 4.4! I tryed to use PCH but it does not improve compilation times too much (about 1s. only). So are there any tutorials on how to make Boost.Asio compilation times faster? For example what headers should I exactly include for what class. I use for example: io_service, tcp::ip::sockets, tcp::ip::acceptor, deadline_timer, buffers and few functions like async_read, async_write. Any suggestions? P.S.: I do use pimpl whenever I can.

• PHP Redirect problem with subdomain

  I'm using PHP to redirect a page back to the previous page with the following: header("Location: {$_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER']}"); This set of pages will only be used by internal users, so I'm not terribly concerned about the fact that the referer will not always be available. The problem I'm running in to is that if the referer looks like http://subdomain.domain.com/test.php?id=13, the redirect ends up going to http://subdomain.domain.com/.domain.com/test.php?id=13. Notice the additional .domain.com/ in the url. I've tested by hardcoding the value, and it causes the problem as well. phpMyAdmin seems to suffer the same issue, but only on this particular server. If this is not an SO question, please move accordingly.

• Replace newline from MySQL TEXT field to parse w/ JSON

  Hi, "replace newline" seems to be a question asked here and there like hundred times already. But however, i haven't found any working solution for myself yet. I have a textarea that i use to save data into DB. Then using AJAX I want to get data from the DB in the backend that is in TEXT field and to pass it to frontend using JSON. But pasing JSON returns an error, as new lines from DB are not valid JSON syntax, I guess i should use \n instead... But how do i replace newlinew from DB with \n? I've tried this $t = str_replace('<br />', '\n', nl2br($t)); and this $t = preg_replace("/\r\n|\n\r|\r|\n/", "\n", $t); and using CHAR(13) and CHAR(10), and still I get an error the new line in textarea is equivalent to, i guess $t = 'text with a newline'; it gives the same error. And in notepad i clearly see that it is crlf
