Search did not give me a hint, how can i behave with the following situation: I'd love to have 2 OSGI implementations of the same interface: one is regular, the other should work (be active/present/whatever) on the given time period (f.e for Christmas weeks :)) The main goal is to call the same interface without specifying any flags/properties/without manual switching of ranking. Application should somehow switch implementation for this special period, doing another/regular job before and after :) I'm a newbie, maybe i do not completely understand OSGI concept somewhere, sorry for that of give me a hint or link, sorry for my English.   Hi, I'm pretty new in developing programs in Java. I'm currently writing a program that converts a flv video into mp3. I have already written such a program in Visual Studio.net C#, but the Problem is, that it isn't cross platform compatible... I used the ffmpeg binary to convert the video into mp3, but I can't find ffmpeg binaries for Mac and Linux. (if so, I could start the specific binaries from java, depending on the OS) So I tried to convert the video with Xuggle, but the final mp3 has 0 bytes.   So I have a list of words (the entire English dictionary). For a word matching game, when a player moves a piece I need to check the entire dictionary to see if the the word that the player made exists in the dictionary. I need to do this as quickly as possible. simply iterating through the dictionary is way too slow. What is the quickest algorithm in AS3 to search a long list like this for a match, and what datatype should I use? (ie array, object, Dictionary etc)

  I tried to make sure this wasn't a duplicate post, sorry if I was blind. This is a small snippet of code taken from some of the examples that accompany the Stanford Parser. I've been developing in Java for about 4 years, but have never had a very strong understanding of what this style of code is supposed to indicate. List<? extends HasWord> wordList = toke.tokenize(); I'm not worried about the details of the code. What I'm confusing about is what exactly the generic expression is supposed to convey, in English. In this Thread(Mehtod) I´m using the Dispatcher to Refresh my Image in the ViewBox after the calculations are ready. When I´m dont put the calculation in a seperate Thread then I can refresh or build my Image. PS: Sry for my bad english

• C++ corrupt my thinking, how to trust auto garbage collector?

  I use to program mainly with C/C++, that's make me dealing with pointers and memory management daily. This days I'm trying to develop using other tools, such as Java, Python and Ruby. The problem is that I keep thinking C++ style, I'm writing code as C++ usually written in almost every programming language, and the biggest problem is the memory management, I keep writing bad code using references in Java and just get as close as I can to the C++ style. So I need 2 thinks here, one is to trust the garbage collector, let's say by seeing benchmarks and proofs that it's realy working in Java, and know what I should never do in order to get my code the best way it can be. And the second think is knowing how to write other languages code. I mean I know what to do, I'm just never write the code as most Java or Python programmers usually do, are there any books for C++ programmers just to introduce me to the writing conventions? (by the way, forgive me for my English mistakes)

  Hello i am new on Silverlight, i tring to make a base for a button and that button will change the central image accoring to the situation, however some parts will continue the same, for this reason i make a UserControl and i call that user Control from the code and add to the grid that i need. But this Usercontrol that i am trying to add have a style pre-defined and i don´t geted how i change de image background. Does anyone have a good list of uninteresting (English) words that have been tested by more then a casual look? This would include all prepositions, conjunctions, etc... words that may have semantic meaning, but are often frequent in every sentence, regardless of the subject. • CSS+HTML: tds are overlapping

  On my web-site http://vfm-elita.com (it is not in English, sorry for that) - center and right columns are overlapping, please see screenshot for details: Between left and center columns you can see a "gap" with a green background - it is expected and good. But there are no any gap between center and right columns, instead they are overlapping. Issue exists in all known browsers There are no special formatting applied to columns. They are usual 'TD' columns, the only CSS modifier is width that is "250px" for left and right columns, and for center - it is "auto". Please advise how can I correct that error. Thanks a lot!

  Hi, I have a ugly piece of code that adds event handlers. The problem is, if the code is called multiple times, the event handlers are called multiple times. To solve the problem, I remove the event handler first and then add it. Now I've seen the following behaviour: Some event handlers can be checked like: if (object.event == null) { // // Code // } others of the form if (object.object.event == null) { // // Code // } I get a message like 'object.object.event' may only occur left of -= or +=. (Since I'm using a german version of visual studio, I don't know the correct translation to english). I have no idea why the behaviour looks this inconsequent so I would be grateful for some information on this.   I'm using amazon japan, using ItemLookup. We already have the EAN numbers (used as ItemId). It was working well until we need to modify the SalesRank. The previous SalesRank returned is for the whole SearchIndex, ex: Books, Music, etc. What we want is to get the SalesRank for a specific BrowseNode. I don't know but it seems that it is not implemented on Amazon US. For example: http: // www . amazon . com / Slackware-Essentials-Cantrell-Johnson-Lumens/dp/1571763384/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1276142663&sr=1-1 The book above only shows the SalesRank (Bestsellers Rank) but on Japan Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.jp/Slackware-Linux-Dummies/dp/0764506897/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=english-books&qid=1276142708&sr=1-4 It shows SalesRank for other three different BrowseNodes. • Magento - Using alternative "reviews count" on category list page

  Hi All I noticed that on the category list page, the number of reviews (pulled from frontend/base/default/template/review/helper/summary_short.phtml) lists the full amount of reviews for an item, not the amount available to the store view you’re on. So, for example (using the sample data) the Samsung MM-A900M Ace has 5 reviews - however, when you click that link and are taken to the reviews page, it actually just has 2 (as only 2 are available to the English view). But on the reviews page, the review count is correct and says 2 reviews (this time pulled from frontend/base/default/template/review/product/view/count.phtml). Is there any way to use this review count on the category list?

  First a database example: id, product_id, cat, name, value -------------------------------- 1,1,Algemeen,Processor,2 Ghz 2,1,Algemeen,Geheugen,4 GB 3,2,Algemeen,Processor,3 Ghz 4,2,Algemeen,Geheugen,4 GB 5,3,Beeldscherm,Inch,22" 6,3,Beeldscherm,Kleur,Zwart 7,3,Algemeen,Geheugen,3 GB 8,3,Algemeen,Processor,3 Ghz I want with one query to select the follow id's: 1,2,3,4,7,8 Because the cat = algemeen and the name = processor by these products. ID 5,6 are only present by product 3. So, the entry's (cat and name) which are present by all products (product_id) have to be selected. The database contains 80.000 entry's with a lot of diffrent cat's, name's and value's. Is this possible with one query or is some php necessary? How do I do this? My apologies for the bad English.

  Over at html syntax to display literal string i asked about displaying a literal. When i tried : http://sdrv.ms/1bEsPWz (as the posted sample will not display, i need to show a picture, as i don't have 10 xxx, i can't insert a picture, I am only left with a skydrive reference) In english, the and syntax was tried but it failed to show all content inside the block. It only showed the "is equal to - pre sample " part. I thought - did not care what was inside ? Can some explain how to make a truely literal block display ? I have my reasons why i don't want to have the " syntax in the html. Thanks
