• convert rst to latex, problem with tables

  hi all, I have some .rst files and I convert them to .tex file using standard sphinx converter. but in some .rst I have tables with special width like: .. list-table:: :widths: 50 50 but resulting .tex always contains tables like: \begin{tabulary}{\textwidth}{|L|L|} so, column width is lost. how can I preserve column width when converting rst to latex?

  I realize that it is a valid part of a variable name, but I've never seen variable names actually use the symbol $ before. The Java tutorial says this: Additionally, the dollar sign character, by convention, is never used at all. You may find some situations where auto-generated names will contain the dollar sign, but your variable names should always avoid using it. However, since this is geared toward Java beginners, I'm wondering if in the distributed world, the $ lives on with a special meaning.

• Communication protocols in UDP

  After many hours, I have discovered that the given udp server needs the following steps for a successful communication: 1- Send "Start Message" on a given port 2- Wait to receive from server on any port 3- Then the port dedicated to you to send further data to the server equals the port you have received on it + 1 So I am asking if this kind is a known protocol/handshaking, or it is only special to this server?? • Is there an equivalent of "OPTION(RECOMPILE)" or "WITH RECOMPILE" for an entire connection?

  I'm curious. Is there any way to prevent SQL query execution plans from being cached for an entire connection's duration? Can I run a command that basically says, "use OPTION(RECOMPILE) for all subsequent commands until I tell you to stop doing so?" I'm acutely aware of all the performance trade-offs here, and I know this is not a step to be taken lightly. However, I'm in a unique situation where this behavior may be advantageous.

  I have an app with a tab bar, and nav controllers in each tab. When user shakes the device, a UIImageView appears as a child view in the nav controller. But the UIImageView must contain a special image, depending on the device's current orientation.
