  • Replace JBoss error page with Axis2 fault XML response

    I'm developing a webservice with Axis2 1.4.1 on JBoss 4.2.3/Tomcat 5.5.27 and Java 1.5.0 (15-b04). It works flawlessly but when an exception happens I get a JBoss error 500 HTML page instead of an Axis2 XML/SOAP fault. This behavoir is vexing, because it difficults to handle errors in the webservice client or in SoapUI while developing. Can I change this to get the SOAP fault? Maybe it's just an Axis2 or JBoss parameter, but I didn't find any clue about.   • Flex SDK missing fundamental things

    All of a sudden Flash Builder 4 is missing all kinds of fundamental things and is generating incorrect errors. I've had the same issue yesterday, where I fixed it by downloading a new Flex SDK and importing that into FB. I did this again, but this time it fixed nothing. I don't think it's something I did, like removing critical references from the build path. The errors also appeared on projects I was not working on at the time. It occurs for ActionScript, Flex and Flex Library projects alike. Update 3: Well, i've singled the problem down to a single piece of code, though a very simple one. I can make a new workspace in FB and things work ok, then screw the workspace up forever by adding this code to a project. All projects will have errors and closing or even removing the faulty project does not change this. Making another new workspace (without the faulty code) makes my projects compile again. It appears to be an SDK problem, not Flash Builder.     I have trouble to add new item to my table view with core data. Here is the brief logic in my codes. I think that both the number of objects in my data source or context and the number of rows in my table view should be 1. However, I got an exception in the event of tabView:numberOfRowsInSection: Invalid update: invalid number of rows in section 0. The number of rows contained in an existing section after the update (0) must be equal to the number of rows contained in that section before the update (0), plus or minus the number of rows inserted or deleted from that section (1 inserted, 0 deleted). The exception was raised right after the delegate event: - (NSInteger) tableView:(UITableView *) tableView numberOfRawsInSection:(NSInteger) section { // fetchedResultsController is class member var NSFetchedResultsController id <NSFechedResultsSectionInfo> sectionInfo = [[fetchedResultsController sections] objectAtIndex: section]; NSInteger rows = [sectionInfo numberOfObjects]; return rows; } In debug mode, I found that the rows was still 0 and the event invoked after the the even of toggleEditing. It looks like that sectionInfo obtained from fetchedResultsController did not include the new entity object inserted. Not sure if I miss anything or steps? I am not sure how it works: to get the fetcedResultsController notified or reflect the change when a new entity is inserted into the current managed object context?

  • Can a pc with a 1.2 ghz dual core run VS 2013? [on hold]

    Edit: This question is about a tool used for programming, Microsoft Visual Studio 2013. I already read the minimum requirements for VS 2013 before I posted or I wouldn't have asked the question. I searched on the web for an answer for a few hours before posting. Why should I go out and spend $400 on a laptop if I can spend less than $100 and use it to learn how to program? In the context of the question it is clear I was not asking for advice on what laptop to buy and it was also clear I was not asking for someone to walk me through the system requirements of VS 2013. This is a vast community and I was wondering if someone in this vast community would have experience in dealing with my question. In other words has anyone ever tried anything like it? If I had an old computer sitting around I would have tested it. At the moment all I have is a friend's Chromebook I'm borrowing. End Edit. I know the requirements for Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 state 1.6 ghz processor. I'm looking at getting a laptop for school and I found one that is old but cheap and would work for college. The Dell D430 I'm looking at getting has a 1.2ghz Core 2 Duo CPU, 80GB HD, 2GB RAM, and Windows 7 Home Premium. It's refurbished. I can get it for less than most phone's cost and from a Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher. I know it's not a skyrim rig but it's lightweight and can handle being a college laptop and doing word processing. Would Visual Studio 2013 run at all? If it is slower I'm not concerned. I just want to know if it would work and compile my assignments and run them? I'd be using this laptop for doing assignments and learning programming languages not for coding the next social media sensation.

The error i'm describing doesn't occur on my machine (Mac OS X), but it does on my client's dev machines (Windows) and on the server (Linux Debian). I'm sure i'm running the same version on each system and i have tried connecting to the same database...     I'm having problems to show text on my game at same size on different screens, and I did a simple test. This test consists to show a text fitting at the screen, I want the text has the same size independently from the screen and from DPI. I've found this and this answer that I think should solve my problem but don't. In desktop the size is ok, but in my phone is too big. This is the result on my Nexus 4: (768x1280, 2.0 density) And this is the result on my MacBook: (480x800, 0.6875 density) I'm using the Open Sans Condensed (link to google fonts) As you can see on desktop looks good, but on the phone is so big.   • Why don't more games use vector art?

    It would seem to me that vector art is more efficient in terms of resources/scalability; however, in most cases I have seen artists using bitmap/rasterized art. Is this a limitation put on the artists by the game programmers/designers? As a programmer I think vector art would be more ideal, since it allows for scaling up resolution without having to recreate the art, creating really large graphics or causing graphics to become blurry. The questions: why aren't more people using SVG/AI to create 2D game art? Would it actually be preferred (and who prefers it)? Are bitmap graphics a standard or a limitation (or maybe neither)? Background: I am working on an engine, and I had some kinda cool ideas for vector based graphics; however, I don't want to piss off artists in the future. I guess this is more a question centered around pragmatism and developing games.

    i have recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 in a Intel Ivy Bridge with integrated graphics and NVidia GPU with Optimus tech, however i cant manage it to work properly. I have already passed by the solution of bumblebee project, however iam got the following message when try to run anything with nvidia card( e.g. with optirun firefox): [ERROR]The Bumblebee daemon has not been started yet or the socket path /var/run/bumblebee.socket was incorrect. [ERROR]Could not connect to bumblebee daemon - is it running?     I'm trying to make my OpenGL Haskell program gamma correct by making appropriate use of sRGB framebuffers and textures, but I'm running into issues making the default framebuffer sRGB. On the other hand, on my laptop (Windows 7 64-bit with an Intel graphics chip), the program prints 0 (huh?) and I get an sRGB default framebuffer by default whether I request one or not! And on both machines, if I manually create a non-default framebuffer bound to an sRGB texture, the program correctly prints 35904, a.k.a. gl_SRGB. Why am I getting different results on different hardware? Am I doing something wrong? How can I get an sRGB framebuffer consistently on all hardware and target OSes?
