• intercepting http traffic to/from Google Chrome

  I use Fiddler for intercepting HTTP traffic when using IE or Firefox. Now that I'm using chrome for most of my day, I would like to be able to see the http traffic using something like Fiddler. What do chrome developers use ? I prefer something automatic like Fiddler but something that needs config, etc would also help. P.S : I'm on windows vista 64-bit HOME PREMIUM, if that's important.

• Are there any StatusNet toolkits for .NET?

  There are plenty of projects out there that assist developers in posting things to Twitter; the one I can think of off the top of my head is Twitterizer. Are there any projects for posting to StatusNet? Given that StatusNet implements an API very similar to Twitter, I could probably modify/extend Twitterizer to do just that. However, I'd like to avoid reinventing the wheel if at all possible if something exists already.

• How do I turn off automatic saving of a vim file with a ~ suffix

  In my environment, I share vim configuration with other developers (and have my own configuration additions as well) in various .vimrc files. Some places in the environment, I edit a file in vim and automagically a copy of that file with a trailing tilde suffix appears. What vim options control this? I'd like to turn the feature off, as it just clutters up my directories and spoils auto-completion on the command line. Thanks.

• Xcode C++ debugging

  I'm looking for a way to have the Xcode IDE pick up on the contents of my weird Boost template classes. Basically, classes complex enough that Xcode can't display their contents correctly. Is there something like the Objective C -description method or toString() in Java that Xcode will look for? At the moment I'm just implementing print() methods and invoking them in gdb, but that's likely to confuse other developers.

  I look for a way to display a route in a fancy way using the Cloudmade service. Currently, I can see computed routes like on this tutorial http://developers.cloudmade.com/projects/web-maps-lite/examples/routing, but I look for a fancier way to do it -- without A and B tags, and with colors, etc. Is this possible ?   Hello, My TeamCity's nightly build produces more than 130Mb java doc as Build Configuration artifact. I have to share these artifact for other teams(developers), but javadoc every time has another one URL(I know that it's possible to get it like .lastFinished), and get's new place on Build Machine. Is it possible on each build replace old artifact with new one because I don't need need previous versions? And have independent from build version URL for accessing.

• Bizarre WHERE col = NULL behavior

  This is a problem one of our developers brought to me. He stumbled across an old stored procedure which used 'WHERE col = NULL' several times. When the stored procedure is executed it returns data. If the query inside the stored procedure is executed manually it will not return data unless the 'WHERE col = NULL' references are changed to 'WHERE col IS NULL'. Can anyone explain this behavior?

  I have read several ASP.NET 3.5 and 4.0 books that begin explaining a concept with something like "in classic ASP it would have been done like this." Why do ASP.NET 4.0 books still refer to classic ASP? Are there really that many developers jumping from Classic ASP directly to ASP.NET 4.0 or is it just force of habit?

• Are there any .net classes/functions that are optimized for multiple cores?

  I know that the developer is supposed to do this himself. But seeing how we are getting cpu's with more and more cores and there are still many developers who do not use multithreading, if we have this functionality built in, it could increase performance dramatically in some scenarios. One particular example where this could be quite useful is in image processing. I doubt that the built in GDI+ classes are multithreaded.
