    i am creating windows application .In this i have to subtract two dates .i subtract it successfully ,i used TimeSpan to get subtracted value.But when i insert it in SQl Server 2005 db, it inserted with starting date i.e. 1/1/1900 and the calculated difference which format should i use to insert Time only?     I have a function foo(i) that takes an integer and takes a significant amount of time to execute. Will there be a significant performance difference between any of the following ways of initializing 'a': a = [foo(i) for i in xrange(100)] , a = map(foo, range(100)) , and vfoo = numpy.vectorize(foo) vfoo(range(100)) ? (I don't care whether the output is a list or a numpy array). Is there some other better way of doing this? Thanks.

    Is there any difference in (asymptotic) performance between Orders.OrderBy(order => order.Date).First() and Orders.Where(order => order.Date == Orders.Max(x => x.Date)); i.e. will First() perform the OrderBy()? I'm guessing no. MSDN says enumerating the collection via foreach och GetEnumerator does but the phrasing does not exclude other extensions.

When I create a New web Application it has References folder but when I add new .aspx file it also adds .aspx.designer.cs file with it and its does not show master page option in add dialogue. but in the old web application it shows the master page option where master page file is already added. whats the difference between these two solutions.

    I have to support IE6 and I calculate rendering time by creating a timestamp in javascript at the beginning of the page and doing the difference when document.ready is fired in jQuery. If I do 3 pages load, the rendering times in milliseconds can look like this : page 1 : 735, 2672, 734 page 2 : 3063, 1516, 3375 page 3 : 8281, 2531, 3703 Why is that? How can I have more consistency?

    I've got a DirectShow project where I want to capture and stream to a webserver. I have seen how to capture and create a file, but I'm looking for ideas on how to capture into something like a MemoryStream to transport through a NetworkStream. I'm also using the library DirectShowLib for the ability to write in C# if that makes any difference. Of if there is a sample that I overlooked in the SDK I would greatly appreciate the direction. Put the function into the other function. Specification Assuming all classes and functions are written correctly. Case 1. ClassA a = function1(); ClassB b = function2(a); function3(b); Case 2. function3(function2(function1())); I know there aren't a big difference with only one run, but supposed that we could run this a lot of times in a loop, I created some tests.   • GNU Emacs is crashing with -nw

    When I run emacs with -nw option, the emacs really open, but I can't do more nothing. As if the user input is blocked and no keyboard signal is received and/or interpreted. I've tried run without load .emacs file and some other behaviors: emacs -nw -Q --no-desktop --debug-ini foo.c But makes no difference and strangely the GUI-version(using Gtk) is working fine. My gnu-emacs version is GNU Emacs 23.3.1 Any help to help to fix it is very appreciated.
