    Remember MS Paint? The bucket tool? If you used it and clicked on a pixel, all pixels connected to this pixel that are the same are affected. The theory is, I suppose, to check if there is any pixel adjacent to the selected one. If such pixel is the same type as the selected one, check for more adjacent pixels in this one, and so on. I want to implement something similar in VB.NET. Basically I have a 2D array map which represents the map. Let's assume there are only two types of tile: 0 and 1. Now, I got pretty much everything ready: I got my 2d map and I can tell which tile is clicked and tell what array indexes are the ones that represent such tile. Now for the "painting" process. Whenever I think about it, I can't figure a convenient way to execute such iteration. Can someone help me choosing a correct design/way/tip to achieve this?

  • How to find that 'runas' execution finished?

    I use ruby 1.9.3p194 (2012-04-20) [i386-mingw32] on Windows7 To do mySQL backup I run runas /savecred /user:yogurt\administrator "cmd.exe /k mysqldump --user=#{dbuser} --password=#{dbpassword} #{dbname} > #{dump}" - mysqldump must be executed as administrator. I do not run my ruby scripts under administrator account. runas starts new cmd.exe and ruby doesn't wait for it to finish. Dump process takes about one minute to finish. After that I zip the dump file and delete it. But I have to make sure that the dump process already finished before I do any other action on that file. Right now I use sleep(60) that works but I wonder if there any better more systematic solution.

    Is there a way to construct an XPath that evaluates whether an element's value is in a predefined list of values? Something akin to this: /Location/Addr[State='TX or AL or MA'] Which would match nodes whith State elements for Texas, Alabama, or Massachusetts? I know that I can unpack the expression: /Location/Addr[State='TX] or /Location/Addr[State='AL'], etc... But this is a bit cumbersome since the xpaths are quite long, as is the list of values. My google-fu isn't turning up much on the issue...

    Hi I'm wondering how I can go about this problem I have a DB with a Users Table, and a Followers table. The Followers table contains 2 Columns "FollowerID" and "FollowedID" I have a 1 - * relation in my datamodel between Users.ID -> Followers.FollowerID and Users.ID -> FollowedID How do I in LINQ get a set of users that are following a specific user? I'll express what I'm trying to achieve programatically I can get this far: ctx.Followers.Where(f => f.FollowedID == CurrentUser.ID) so now i have a Followers set where I have the ID of the users that follow the CurrentUser, and I could iterate through this collection and then add users after each iteration to a collection that would be a total USER collection that followed CurrentUser, but isn't there a smarter, or LINQ'er way to do this?     I have a Rect object that I'd like to create and set its properties only once. After that, I want to just modify its properties since it already exists. This is my general idea if(theRect == undefined){ Alert.show("creating"); var theRect:Rect = new Rect(); //then set properties addElement(theRect); //then add it using addElement because addChild() does not work } else { Alert.show("updating"); //no need to create it since it's already been created //just access and change the properties } I tried several ways and combinations for the if conditional check: if(theRect == undefined){ if(theRect == null){ declaring and not declaring `var theRect:Rect;` before the if check declaring and instantiating to null before the if check `var theRect:Rect = null;` but can't get the desired effect. Everytime this code block runs, and depending on which version I've used, it either gives me a "can't access null object" error or the if statement always evaluates to true and creates a new Rect object and I get the "creating" Alert. What's the right way of creating that Rect but only if doesn't exist?

    Newbie in testing. I generated a test case using Selenium, and then exported it as a Python script. Now, when I try to run that in terminal, I get following error: raise exception_class(message, screen, stacktrace) NoSuchElementException: Message: u'Unable to locate element: {"method":"link text","selector":"delete"}' I am using the command generated by Selenium i.e driver.find_element_by_link_text("delete").click() The reason for the error I believe is that the link "delete" in my web page is seen only when I click on a particular line to be deleted. So I guess it is being unable to locate the link. Please suggest what alternative measure could I use to locate and click on the "delete" link. Thanks in Advance:)

    I'm trying to create a custom tag. Inside this custom tag, I want to be able to have some logic that checks if the user is logged in, and then have the tag rendered accordingly. This is what I have: def user_actions(context): request = template.Variable('request').resolve(context) return { 'auth': request['user'].is_athenticated() } register.inclusion_tag('layout_elements/user_actions.html', takes_context=True)(user_actions) When I run this, I get this error: Caught VariableDoesNotExist while rendering: Failed lookup for key [request] in u'[{}]' The view that renders this ends like this: return render_to_response('start/home.html', {}, context_instance=RequestContext(request)) Why doesn't the tag get a RequestContext object instead of the Context object? How can I get the tag to receive the RequestContext instead of the Context? EDIT: Whether or not it's possible to get a RequestContext inside a custom tag, I'd still be interested to know the "correct" or best way to determine a user's authentication state from within the custom tag. If that's not possible, then perhaps that kind of logic belongs elsewhere? Where?
