What’s an efficient way to do this without running a separate query for each post?

  I am trying to navigate to an MVC action by POSTing rather than GETting. (The action is a DELETE, and I don't want it reachable by an external link.) I am using a link in a grid generated by Ajax.ActionLink("Remove", "Delete", new { saID = Model.Said, id = e.id }, new AjaxOptions { HttpMethod = "POST", Confirm = "Are you sure you want to delete this item?" }) Which generates the following HTML: <a href="/Equipment/Delete/102424/229933" onclick="Sys.Mvc.AsyncHyperlink.handleClick(this, new Sys.UI.DomEvent(event), { insertionMode: Sys.Mvc.InsertionMode.replace, confirm: 'Are you sure you want to delete this item?', httpMethod: 'POST' });">Remove</a> My problem is that when I click on the link, I am reaching the Delete action via a GET rather than a POST, AND the Confirm dialog is not taking place.   i have this page displaying statement every 2 second (using javascript), at the end of it there is a link which the user can click. with IE it will click the link before javascript generated statement is completed. when i use Link.Click() (with Firefox it will throw exception, which is fine with me) is there a way to wait for javascript execution to complete before link gets clicked (IE)? • How to sign installation files of a Visual Studio .msi

  This may be a duplicate, though I can't find it at this time. If so please point me in the right direction. I recently purchased an authenticode certificate from globalsign and am having problems signing my files for deployment. There are a couple of .exe files that are generated by a project and then put into a .msi. When I sign the .exe files with the signtool the certificate is valid and they run fine. The problem is that when I build the .msi (using the visual studio setup project) the .exe files loose their signatures. So I can sign the .msi after it is built, but the installed .exe files continue the whole "unknown publisher" business. How can I retain the signature on these files for installation on the client machine? You help is appreciated. -Alex

  SQL Server Reporting Services, in SSRS it seems like Schedules never fire, however a look at the SQL Agent reveals a permission issue related to not being able to resolve a user account. Seems SQL Agent does not rely on caching or whatever voodoo Windows magically works. link text Fix is listed here... edit -- Above is the fix I used to workaround this issue, has any one found any other work arounds or resolutions to this issue? It seems that by default the SSRS Generated Schedules are run as this phantom user account. How do I change this default? Is SSRS creating the jobs as the user the service runs as? Thanks Remus

  I'm using a class MyClass inherited from SoapHttpClientProtocol (auto-generated in my project by creating a WebReference from a .wsdl file, representing a service). Before calling a "WebMethod" of this service, I need to custom the http header of my request. I am using webservice to create Order in Oracle database and websvc will give a response (OrderNumber) and I will inform customer that his Order (OrderNumber) is generated My problem The creation of order is taking too much time in backend system and user is keeping refreshing the page, On each refresh user is coming back to Order create Page, so user is able to click on create Order button again In such cases multiple orders are creating for same orderlines.I can restrict user to create only one order per session in case I got order number in websvc response and I can give ordernumber to customer in next page But real problem come when I didn't get response(Ordernumber) and user is refreshing page. request is already went to Backend system and it will create order and my applicaion will not get response Is there any method in PHP where we can asyncronously check the status of order if first request is initiated by user and it doesn't matter the furthur page navigation Please help me out.. • Django URL resolving infrastructure stops working

  We recently launched a new Django-powered website, and we are experiencing the oddest bug: The site is running under Apache with mod_fastcgi. Everything works fine for a while, and then the URL tag and reverse() functionality stops working. Instead of returning the expected URL, they return "". We haven't noticed anything in Apache's log file; there are no errors being generated by Django. And (the kicker) the problem only occurs in production mode; we can't reproduce it when DEBUG=True. Any thoughts on where we should be looking for the problem?

I made it but I came to the situation when the wsimport tool generates classes with methods with params for header(for authentication) and the params are not just simple types. But some complex.   Hi, I'm trying to generate javadoc with JAutodoc 1.7 for Eclipse 3.5. I've sucessfully created templates for files, classes, methods. However, on parameters and exceptions I get the default @param and @throws tags generated even if I change the template in preferences/JAutodoc/templates/parameters. This is incompatible with the coding standards they have given us. Any help? Btw, I tried to use the default eclipse comment template but I couldn't find any enclosing_method_arguments variable in my version. Any ideas why that might be?

Product and LocatorID are, in combination, the primary key. I'm guessing that EF is not allowing me to generate a new item without meeting database contraints? How does this make sense if I need to obtain a primary key from the user? I have control over all tiers of the application, so suggestions on database design if needed are also welcomed.

• Dynamically generate PDF and email it using django

  I have a django app that dynamically generates a PDF (using reportlab + pypdf) from user input on an HTML form, and returns the HTTP response with an application/pdf MIMEType. I want to have the option between doing the above, or emailing the generated pdf, but I cannot figure out how to use the EmailMessage class's attach(filename=None, content=None, mimetype=None) method. The documentation doesn't give much of a description of what kind of object content is supposed to be. I've tried a file object and the above application/pdf HTTP response. I currently have a workaround where my view saves a pdf to disk, and then I attach the resulting file to an outgoing email using the attach_file() method. This seems wrong to me, and I'm pretty sure there is a better way.

  Hi, I've developed an application to capture and save images to a database, but I'm having an issue with memory usage. On my domain object I have 3 properties: Image - Byte array, contents are a jpg RealImageThumb - The byte array converted to a BitmapImage and shrunk, displayed to the user in a gridview with other thumbnails RealImage - Has no setter, the byte array converted to a bitmap source, this is shown in a tooltip when the user hovers over it. The issue I have is that if a user hovers over each image in turn the memory usage spirals. I realise that as a user hovers over bitmap sources are generated and the memory isn't freed up, I've tried giving RealImage a backing property and assigning this to null after but again the memory isn't freed up (waiting for the garbage colelctor?.

• ASP.NET MVC 2 RC2 Model Binding with NVARCHAR NOT NULL column

  I have a database column defined as NVARCHAR(1000) NOT NULL DEFAULT(N'') - in other words, a non-nullable text column with a default value of blank. I have a model class generated by the Linq-to-SQL Classes designer, which correctly identifies the property as not nullable. I have a TextAreaFor in my view for that property. I'm using UpdateModel in my controller to fetch the value from the form and populate the model object. If I view the web page and leave the text area blank, UpdateModel insists on setting the property to NULL instead of empty string. (Even if I set the value to blank in code prior to calling UpdateModel, it still overwrites that with NULL). Which, of course, causes the subsequent database update to fail. I could check all such properties for NULL after calling UpdateModel, but that seems ridiculous - surely there must be a better way? • Getting values from Multiple Text Entry using Pygtk and Python

  On a click of a button named "Add Textbox" it calls a function which creates a single textbox using (gtk.Entry) function. So each time i click that button it creates a textbox. I have a submit button which should fetches all the values of the text boxes(say 10 textboxes) generated with the name of "entry". It works for one textbox but not for multiple. In php we can create dynamix textboxes mentioning as an array name=entry[]. Do we have similar functionality in python ? Enviroment : FC10 , Glade 3 , Python 2.5 , GTK.

  Original Question Title: C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\NetBeansProjects\ConsultingAgency\nbproject\build-impl.xml:563: The module has not been deployed. hello I am new to javaserver face developing and following some netbean tutorials on this Generating a JavaServer Faces CRUD Application from a Database : http://netbeans.org/kb/docs/web/jsf-jpa-crud-wizard.html when I run this generated code on my computer I get this message and it doesn't seem to work. • Breaking changes in .NET 4.0

  There is a lot of information about new features and classes in new 4.0 however there are also changes that may affect esixting applications, for example Timespan now implements IFormattable and old string.Format() with invalid options will throw exception instead of calling simple ToString(). However, CLR team provides a nice feature to enable behaviour from previous version with configuration setting - TimeSpan_LegacyFormatMode . CLR Inside Out Access to events inside the class where they are declared using += or -= will lead to call add/remove generated accessors that return void. Some code wan't even compile in 4.0. Chris Burrows Blog CAS is deprecated and to enable it one still need to use special setting in configuration - NetFx40_LegacySecurityPolicy So I wonder what are other changes and is it possible to find at least preliminary list of changes that will or may break existing functionality with release of .NET 4.0 ?

• IIS7 + WCF + Silverlight problems

  Hey, I've been building a silverlight application and a WCF service for a while now and recently tried to host them in IIS7. I installed IIS7 on Windows Server 2008 R2 and added these two application to my default website. I am having a number of problems so im hoping one of you can help out... 1) The silverlight and WCF service applications do not work with pass-through authentication. I need to "connect as" the administrator server account when setting up the application. I read online that you should only need to use the "connect as" field when you are connecting to another computer. If i dont supply the admin credentials i get this error. Do i have to set up permissions somewhere else? HTTP Error 500.19 - Internal Server Error The requested page cannot be accessed because the related configuration data for the page is invalid.
