I want process the string to this: /(100)+web*+explorer/(200)bbs/(300) rules like this: if expression length is more than 3 and its field is not (200), then add brackets to it.

    (Using python 3.2 currently) I need to be able to: Run a command using subprocess Both stdout/stderr of that command need be printed to the terminal in real-time (it doesn't matter if they both come out on stdout or stderr or whatever At the same time, I need a way to know if the command printed anything to stderr (and preferably what it printed). I've played around with subprocess pipes as well as doing strange pipe redirects in bash, as well as using tee, but as of yet haven't found anything that would work. Is this something that's possible?

    My application is suppose to constantly update the page without any user interaction. The criteria is that the page just has to be there, as an extra window on the monitor so the user can see the information get updated real time. I'm using the Ajax in jQuery with Rails, and my question is - how long will the .erb page keep Ajax open? Will there be a point where I have to refresh the page or re-initialize? Or will that won't be a problem at all?

    I have some data like this: ID Value 1 AAA 1 ABC 2 dasd 2 dsfdsf 2 dsfsd 3 df 3 dwqef they are objects(not plain text). and i want to get all objects with the ID = 2. I can do a binary binary search and get the index 3,but how can i get (2 and 4) is there any efficient algorithm? the real problem has lists with about one Million items. any language except bf and lisp can help.

    In Eclipse (and Flash/Flex Builder) you get the option with Ctrl+Shift+F to do a file search and look for a regular expression. Would be a real handy thing to know. I want to find the word negate if it appears in a Flex/java comment like the following: // It was negated because or /* The negate option was.... */ or /** * We have to negate the value */ Any ideas?     I'm probably going about this the wrong way but... I’ve added a field to the User Profile called profile_real_name which is required by the user. Is there a way to access the details in CCK? For example in CCK when creating a new field I can access the user’s username with the ‘User reference’ Field type and setting the ‘Widget type’ to ‘Autocomplete text field’. Can I do the same with my real name field? Many thanks

Both alone are fine but when I try to implement a Google Map into a Dojo content pane which is embedded in a border-container it simply does not work.     Though it's on the edge of programming questions, I think this is still relevant here, as only those of us actually doing the coding for a site would be considering this. I've been reading more about keyword placement, and it seems to me like a good place to do keyword placement would be in the class and id names chosen for the elements they are representing. I'm not talking about any kind of black-hat keyword stuffing thing but real legitimate use of descriptive keywords for elements. Is this something that is actively done for SEO?

    After being convinced ("schooled") that Swing apps on Mac do look native, I'm trying to make mine look as native as possible. Everything looks great, but when I hit command-Q or do it from the menu, my windowStateChanged(WindowEvent e) is not firing on my main JFrame (if I exit in any other way, it does fire). How can I respond to the real Apple quit?
