  • Array of function pointers in Java

    I have read this question and I'm still not sure whether it is possible to keep pointers to methods in an array in Java, if anyone knows if this is possible or not it would be a real help. I'm trying to find an elegant solution of keeping a list of Strings and associated functions without writing a mess of hundreds of 'if's. Cheers edit- 'functions' changed to 'methods', seems to bug people.

Work flow: Index.py (submit) After submit it redirect to display.py page display.py page has got class with execute(),display() &init_main() functions In init_main() i have created class object which access to above functions I need to calculate time interval between the submit (index.py) to execute() end, so i can show user how much time does different weighted file takes on real time.   • How to make a macro which gives back a string into the source code?

    Example: I want to do this: METHODNAME(5) { // do something } which results in: - (void)animationStep5 { // do something } Is there any way to do this? Basically, what I need is a way to generate a real source code string before the program is compiled, so the compiler does see - (void)animationStep5... Or maybe there's something different than a macro, which can help here to auto-generate method names (not at run-time)?

    When I try to use assertNotLesser or assertNotGreater I get compile error .. and eclipse suggest me to create a new method called like this .. http://junit-addons.sourceforge.net/junitx/framework/ComparableAssert.html I found it here I never used these options before but I need to write this test, I can do it jmock as well but I don't know how .. I need to compare my expected results let say 0, if the real result is greater that the test should fail.

The information being stored in both DBs is the same, but the representation is obviously different owing to the different design approaches.   • Is a C++ compiler allowed to emit different machine code compiling the same program?

    Consider a situation. We have some specific C++ compiler, a specific set of compiler settings and a specific C++ program. We compile that specific programs with that compiler and those settings two times, doing a "clean compile" each time. Should the machine code emitted be the same (I don't mean timestamps and other bells and whistles, I mean only real code that will be executed) or is it allowed to vary from one compilation to another?

    Hi all, I have a query factory that takes a column name as an attribute in order to search for that column. Right now I'm passing the name of the column as a string, so it's kind of hardcoded. If the name of the column changes in the entity's annotation, that "hidden dependency" breaks up. Is there a way in jpa to retrieve the real name of the column and have it available at compile time, so I can use it in queries?

This is my first time making a "real" commercial application, and I would appreciate some advice on how best to go about including their source codes.     I am currently in the process of creating an application that records current location of a mobile device in intervals, displaying the route as a coloured line on the device in real-time. At the same time the application is storing the longitude and latitude in a SQLite database as I want the user to be able to bring up that specific route again. The route has a primary key and each waypoint is linked to that route by a foreign key. What would be the easiest way to display the saved route on the map?.

  • Twitter api and retweets

    I'm trying to get the last tweet from the people I follow using the twitter api (http://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/friends.json&screen_name=[username]), but I noticed that if the user's last tweet is a retweet, the json data does not contain a "status" element. Using the "user timeline" api does not work either, the last tweet is the last non retweeted tweet. Is there a way to get the real last status, even if it's a RT, through the twitter API?

I know how to minimize or make a frame invisible but this has to be done real fast cos it's going to happen alot in each second (at least once every second).     Is it real that the TerminateProcess function in Windows could hang because the threads inside the process were stuck in a deadlock? Example: Process A is running under Process B's control, now Process A gets into a deadlock and Process B detects this and decides to 'Kill' process A using TerminateProcess. Would it be successful in killing the hung Process A?

    I am making a game in Flash CS4 (actionscript 3) and I would like to be able to make "copies" of an instance that would randomly appear at the top of the screen and fall. For example, multiple objects(that are the same one) are falling from the top of the screen continuously, starting at random X positions. (i think this would be considered Real-Time effect).
