  • Need a simple tool for analysing unicode characters

    I'm surprised I can't find a simple tool for this. Basically, sometimes as a result of text munging, or using some piece of software, I end up with some text that has some troublesome characters - such as looking a lot like other characters, but being distinct from them. I'd like a tool (preferably online, javascript based) where I can paste the text, and it will tell me all the characters involved, their names, unicode codes etc.

    Hi, I am developing an android application where I need to manipulate the background image of the rows in listview on certain conditions. Initially when the listview is loaded all works properly.   • Primary Key Names in Fluent Nhibernate

    Is there a way in fluent nhibernate (or possibly NHibernate in general) to tell it to generate the primary keys differently? It creates the column name for the key fine, but the index/constraint gets weird generated names like: PK_Address_3214EC2725332734 PK_CreditCa_3214EC2756CA82C8 etc... I can use straight sql to rename them but i'd rather not. thanks, all

    Im adding objects to a datagridview ( only one kind) through a list ej. List<Material> mater = new List<Material>(); DataGridView dgvMAterial = new DataGridView(); dgvMaterial.DataSource = null; mater.Add((Material)cmbMaterial.SelectedValue); dgvMaterial.DataSource = mater; But every time I click over the datagrid I get an indexoutofrangeexeption.     Hi there, does anyone know if its possible to restyle a window in wpf. Or even better any tutorials or samples? Basically i would like to change the minimize and maximize buttons - oh and the close button to be slightly bigger.... I have expression blend.... Is this possible? I saw some samples in infragistics sample apps which have some great looking forms and as far as i can tell it doesn't use any custom wpf controls... Any ideas really appreciated

  • Dereferencing within a buffer

    Let's say I had a char pointer pointing to a buffer that contained these values (in hex): 12 34 56 78 00 00 80 00 I want to modify the last two bytes to a short value of 42. So I would think I would have to do something like this: (short)*(pointer+6)=42; The compiler doesn't complain but it does not do what I'm expecting it to do. Can someone tell me the correct way to assign the value?

    Hello, I'm trying to figure out how to know if a node is the last child of another, or not. I know how to retrieve the parent's lastChild name ($node-parentNode-lastChild-nodeName), but as sometimes there's many same node names within the same parent, the name is definitly not the way to find the last child. I'm looking for some kind of iterator which can retrieve the number of childs, and depending of the position of the current node, tell if the current node is the last child. Thanks!

    Hi all, When loading an executable then segments like the code, data, bss and so on need to be placed in memory. I am just wondering, if someone could tell me where on a standard x86 for example the libc library is placed. Is that at the top or bottom of memory. My guess is at the bottom, close to the application code, ie., that would look something like this here: --------- 0x1000 Stack | V ^ | Heap ---------- Data + BSS ---------- App Code ---------- libc ---------- 0x0000 Thanks a lot, Ross

  • How do I display the validation which failed in my Rails unit test?

    Summary: Failed unit tests tell me which assert (file:line) failed, but not which validation resulted in the failure. More info: I have 11 validations in one of my models. Unit testing is great, whether I run `rake test:units --trace' or 'ruby -Itest test/unit/mymodel_test.rb'. However, despite the fact that it tells me exactly which assert() failed me, I am not told which validation failed. I must be missing something obvious, because I can't ask Google this question well enough to get an answer. Thanks :)

    Hi, I have created a standalone XUL application, and I copied "NPSWF32.dll"(flash plugin dll) to the "plugins" folder under the browser. When I launch the application, flash content is not getting displayed. If I set the MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH to the "plugins" directory before launching the application, everything is working as expected. Could someone tell me, what I needs to do in order to load the flash plugin automatically from the "plugins" folder. Thanks, Rajeesh
