  • Implementing PyMyType_Check methods with Python C API?

    All the Python-provided types have a check method (i.e., PyList_Check) that allows you to check if an arbitrary PyObject* is actually a specific type. How can I implement this for my own types? I haven't found anything good online for this, though it seems like a pretty normal thing to want to do. Also, maybe I'm just terrible at looking through large source trees, but I cannot for the life of me find the implementation of PyList_Check or any of it's companions in the Python (2.5) source.

    I have function problem using this code (below), the embedded flash movieclip disappears or completely prevents the scrollto.js query to function in DW cs3. Communication between Flash and JavaScript is without problems, it is the call back I can't find to work and more frustratingly, should be simple, as no values are not required. So far, this has been hours of scouring the net without a workable end in sight...ahrr. What is a function for this to work?     Hi, In the weather.com site it has forecast for 10 days. For example, in this url: http://www.weather.com/weather/narrative/GRXX0004 I cannot seem to find a feed for that kind of data. Could I pull a feed for each one of those days? Is there something I am missing? How could I easily parse data for 10 days? Thank you!

  • Unknown address suggestion

    Usually when you try to add a marker to an unknown/ambiguous address you just get an error from the api. It would be much nicer if i could display a list of suggestions related to the address that was not found. The Google maps site has this feature but i do not know how to do with the api. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi! I'm trying to make a C# program which will use a C .dll (unfortunately, the .dll doesn't have good documentation) to access a smart card. One of the functions of the .dll uses name of the reader as argument. My problem is that I don't know how to get the name. After looking for answers I found something similar to what I need in an example here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa379803%28VS.85%29.aspx I'm looking for a way to get szReader value as described in the aforementioned example using C#. Can anyone help me or at least point me in the right direction?

    Hi, I have a Google App engine application that I want to work differently depending upon if it is running in my local dev environment (i.e. with dev_appserver.py) as against running in actual GAE cloud. Currently I use a flag variable that I manually toggle to achieve that. But I am sure one day I will forget to change it and will lead to problem. So I would like to know if there is an API or some other way to figure out where the GAE app is actually running? Thanks.

  • problem with facebook api - Keeps redirecting

    I created an application with a name and connect URL on facebook. I put below code in test.php here (test.php): include_once 'facebook.php'; $fb = new Facebook('api_key', 'secret'); $user = $fb->require_login(); echo $fb->api_client->user; echo $fb->api_client->session_key; when I go to that page, it takes me to facebook login, after I login it redirects me to same test.php with an auth_token. But it doesn't stop there. For some reason, the script is taking me to facebook again and since I already logged in facebook redirecting me to test.php with another auth_token just like below /test.php?auth_token=76a6eb21b872cdfe787ea85a240905dd&auth_token=597d7532bf53c8ce37cc003bcf7d2905 It never stops there, test.php taking me to facebook again and again :( Please tell me what wrong??   • Facebook status.get API throws 500 HTTP status code

    I have an APP that calls Facebook status.get method via the REST server - restserver.php using session key method. This app works fine for most of the users, but for one user I consistently receive HTTP 500 status code. Since this doesn't have any specific Facebook error message, it is almost impossible for me to debug this. Anyone faced a similar problem? What could be wrong with this user account? I checked the privacy options that I could think of and they look fine. Also, for the same user, I can use friends.get method without any problem. EDIT: I tried in Facebook forums as well, but it was of no use. Any pointers in the direction towards debugging/troubleshooting this problem are also appreciated.

    Hi all, I have a database of cities (in both the US and the rest of the world). The database entries are simple text strings. Currently the database contains even small cities (population 10,000). I wish to use a larger scale database instead, by assigning the cities into larger geographical\metropolitan areas. An example can be the Metropolitan areas in Google's AdWords API: http://code.google.com/intl/iw-IL/apis/adwords/docs/developer/adwords_api_us_metros.html but I have no problem using other databases instead. I'd be grateful for any advice on how this can be performed using existing databases\APIs!

  • Why many applications close after opening a document or doing a specific actions?

    I have some encrypted pdf files that have no problem and in my last windows, I could open them easily with Adobe Reader 9.2 and other pdf readers. But now, I can only open non-encrypted pdf files and one encrypted file with Adobe Reader. every time I open almost any encrypted pdf, it closes itself. Also, when I try to search a folder for a keyword with Foxit Reader, once it closed. This is not related to Adobe Reader, because I have the same problem with Word 2007. When I open a document, sometimes it closes instantly and sometimes it closes after a few seconds and sometimes it is stable. My windows is Fresh. I have installed it a few days ago. The only solution i can see at the minute is querying IMDB and scraping the page.
