  • Why C# IntelliSense is delayed compared to VB.NET?

    In VB.NET projects, errors are highlighted immediately after cursor leaves the line. IN C#, I have to wait several seconds for IntelliSense to highlight it. Also, C# version doesn't show all project errors in "Errors List", unless you start to build it. Actually, it seems to work differently in every way. Is it possible to adjust that behavior?

Example :- This link will load into <a href="#" onclick="javascript:loadAjax('test.html')">Test</a> <div id="result"> <table class="tablesorter"> <thead> <tr> <th>Header 1</th><th>Header 2</th> </tr> </thead> <tbody> <tr><td>Record 1</td><td>Desc 1</td></tr> </tbody> </table> </div> In my CSS : table.tablesorter thead tr th, table.tablesorter tfoot tr th { background-color: #e6EEEE; border: 1px solid #FFF; font-size: 8pt; padding: 4px; } table.tablesorter thead tr .header { background-image: url(bg.gif); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: center right; cursor: pointer; } In my test.html, it's the same table with different record : <table class="tablesorter"> <thead> <tr> <th>Header 1</th><th>Header 2</th> </tr> </thead> <tbody> <tr><td>Record 2</td><td>Desc 2</td></tr> </tbody> </table> The issue I'm facing is that before "test.html" is load, the CSS is fine. But after clicking on the link which suppose to loads test.html, the CSS background still shows but "cursor:pointer" and "background-image" not longer works. What should I do to make it work?   • GNU Smalltalk text interface hard to use

    I built GNU Smalltalk from source on my Mac because I couldn't get it working using fink and I found VMs like Squeak hard to understand. When I run the gst command it works fine, but unlike command line interfaces such the Python and Lua ones, it is hard to use because when I use the left or right arrow keys, I want the cursor to move left or right, but instead it inserts text like "^[[D". I understand why it does this but is there any way to fix it so it is more usable?

    AFAIK accessing thumbnails for images via MediaStore.Images.Thumbnails would generate thumbnails at first attempt, and that's what i need to perform against specific location on sd card. The question is how to make valid URI to content under specific folder? All answers i can find use just MediaStore.Images.Thumbnails.EXTERNAL_CONTENT_URI as uri to make managedQuery. And result of it is Cursor that points to all sdcard images, while none examples can be found on how to access only specific folder.

  • Sqlite issues with HTC Desire HD

    Recently I have been getting a lot of complaints about the HTC Desire series and it failing while invoking sql statements. I have received reports from users with log snapshots that contain the following. I/Database( 2348): sqlite returned: error code = 8, msg = statement aborts at 1: [pragma journal_mode = WAL;] E/Database( 2348): sqlite3_exec to set journal_mode of /data/data/my.app.package/files/localized_db_en_uk-1.sqlite to WAL failed followed by my app basically burning in flames because the call to open the database results in a serious runtime error that manifests itself as the cursor being left open. There shouldn't be a cursor at this point as we are trying to open it. This only occurs with the HTC Desire HD and Z. My code basically does the following (changed a little to isolate the problem area).     I've used emacs for decades and always wondered, but kept on coding, if there was a way to type in something, them move the cursor and insert the same text, like the VI . command. Instead what I do is to type the text, set the mark, backup, copy the region, go to the next spot (often just C-n, down one line) and then pre-arg yank, C-u C-y. It's the overhead of set mark, backup and copy region that makes me just go ahead and retype the thing.
