    Not sure if there is a way to check a variable if it is explode-able or not...   • Does DB2 OS/390 BLOB support .docx file

    ASP.net app inserts .docx fileinto a row on DB2 OS/390 Blob table. A different VB.net app gets the DB2 OS/390 Blob data. When Microsoft Word tries to open the .docx file Microsoft Word pops up a message that the data is corrupted. Word will fix the data so the file can be viewed. I've seen some examples where .docx can be converted to .doc but they only talk about stripping out the text. Some of our .docx have pictures in them. Any ideas?

    I have very complicated search algorithm on my site, so i decided to make a table with cache or maybe all possible results. I wanna ask what structure would be better, or maybe not the one of them? (mySQL) 1) word VARCHAR, results TEXT or BLOB where i'll store ids of found objects (for example 6 chars for each id) 2) word VARCHAR, result INT, but words are not unique now i think i'll have about 200 000 rows in 1) with 1000-10000 ids each row or 200 000 000+ rows in 2) First way takes more storage memory but i think it would be much faster to find 1 unique row among 200 000, than 1000 rows among 200 mln non unique rows i think about index on word column and no sphinx. So that do YOU think? p.s. as always, sorry for my english if it's not very good.

    I trying to create an animation with JQuery that scrolls 1 word in a sentence. For example, I am a nice sententce of text with a MAGIC word in it OTHER HIDDEN WORDS After a second or so, MAGIC would move upwards and OTHER would scroll into view. I've tried playing with a few carousel plugins but I can't seem to get the effect working. Some seem to have so many nested divs that they refuse to display inline, others have issues when one word is longer than another. Does anybody know of a plugin that could make this possible? Is this even possible?

    Hello, I am looking for a way to get words out of a sentence. I am pretty far with the following expression: \b([a-zA-Z]+?)\b but there are some occurrences that it counts a word when I want it not to. E.g a word followed by more than one period like "text..". So, in my regex I want to have the period to be at the end of a word zero or one time. Inserting .? did not do the trick, and variations on this have not yielded anything fruitful either. Hope someone can help!

    So I'm trying to append a char to a char*. For example I have char *word = " "; I also have char ch = 'x'; I do append(word, ch); Using this method.. void append(char* s, char c) { int len = strlen(s); s[len] = c; s[len+1] = '\0'; } It gives me a segmentation fault, and I understand why I suppose. Because s[len] is out of bounds. How do I make it so it works? I need to clear the char* a lot as well, if I were to use something like char word[500]; How would I clear that once it has some characters appended to it? Would the strlen of it always be 500? Thanks in advance.

I wish to save the images as data and connect them to the appropriate word so it will be easy to pull them later. my question is - how do i get the suitable size ? its works great with the @2x wjen you get it from the app file system, but hoe does it supposed to work when i get it from data ? thanks shani

    I found some partial help but cannot seem to fully accomplish what I need. I need to be able to do the following: I need an regular expression to replace any 1 to 3 character words between two words that are longer than 3 characters with a match any expression: For example: walk to the beach == walk(.*)beach If the 1 to 3 character word is not preceded by a word that's longer than 3 characters then I want to translate that 1 to 3 letter word to ' ?' For example: on the beach == on ?the ?beach The simpler the rule the better (of course, if there's an alternative more complicated version that's more performant then I'll take that as well as I eventually anticipate heavy usage eventually). This will be used in a PHP context most likely with preg_replace. Thus, if you can put it in that context then even better!

Output will be words that fit into the length of the line (taken from command line). Also the first word will be on the left side of the line and the last word will be right side of it.     I have a few questions about structs and pointers For this struct: typedef struct tNode_t { char *w; } tNode; How come if I want to change/know the value of *w I need to use t.w = "asdfsd" instead of t->w = "asdfasd"? And I compiled this successfully without having t.w = (char *) malloc(28*sizeof(char)); in my testing code, is there a reason why tt's not needed?   • How can I automatically update Flash Player whenever a new version is released? [closed]

    Summary: Flash Player Update Service doesn't run on a reliable schedule, and doesn't automatically download and apply updates when it does run. Given the importance of having an up-to-date version of Flash Player installed (for those of us who don't use Chrome with its built-in player), I would like to find a way to ensure that new updates are promptly detected and installed. What follows are the details of my efforts to solve this problem on my own... Appendix A: Flash Player Update Service OK, way back in Flash Player 11.2 (or so?) Adobe added the Flash Player Update Service (FlashPlayerUpdateService.exe), it was supposed to keep the Flash Player updated... Upon installation, FPUS is configured to run as a Windows Service, with Start Type set to Manual. A Scheduled Task (Adobe Flash Player Updater.job) is added to start this service every hour. So far, so good - this set-up avoids having a constantly-running service, but makes sure that the checks are run often enough to catch any updates quickly. Google's software updater is configured in a similar fashion, and that works just fine... ...And yet, when I checked the version of my installed Flash Player, I found it was 11.6.602.180, which, based on looking at the timestamps of the files in C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash was last updated (or installed) on Tue, Mar 12, 2013 --- 3/12/13, 5:00:08pm. I made this observation on Thu, Apr 25, 2013 --- 4/25/13, 7:00:00pm, and upon checking Adobe's website found that the current version of Flash Player was 11.7.700.169. That's over a month since the last update, with a new one clearly available on the website but with no indication that the hourly check running on my machine has noticed it or has any intention of downloading it. Appendix B: running the Flash Player updater manually Once upon a time, running FlashUtil32_<version_Plugin.exe -update plugin would give you a window with an Install button; pressing it would download the installer for the current version (automatically, without opening a browser) and run it, then you'd click thru that installer & be done. It was manual, but it worked! Finding my current installation out of date (see Appendix A), I first tried this manual update process. However... Running FlashUtil32_<version_ActiveX.exe -update activex (in my case, that's FlashUtil32_11_6_602_180_ActiveX.exe -update activex) ...only presents a window with a Download button, clicking that Download button opens my browser to the URL https://get3.adobe.com/flashplayer/update/activex. Running FlashUtil32_<version_Plugin.exe -update plugin (in my case, that's FlashUtil32_11_6_602_180_Plugin.exe -update plugin) ...only presents a window with a Download button, clicking that Download button opens my browser to the URL https://get3.adobe.com/flashplayer/update/plugin. I could continue with the Download page it sent me to, uncheck the foistware box ("Free! McAfee Security Scan Plus"), download that installer (ActiveX, no foistware: install_flashplayer11x32axau_mssd_aih.exe, Plugin, no foistware: install_flashplayer11x32au_mssd_aih.exe) & probably have an updated Flash...but then, what is the point of the Flash Player Update Service if I have to manually download & run another exe? Epilogue I've since come to suspect that the update service is intentionally hobbled to drive early adopters to the manual download page. If this is true, there's probably no solution to this short of writing my own updater; hopefully I am wrong.

    I've attached 5 virtual disks to a Virtual Machine in Citrix XenServer. The VM has the xs-tools installed. Initially it said that it couldn't add so many disks. After I installed the xs-tools, it let me add all the disks. But /dev doesn't show all the disks. It shows these: /dev/xvda /dev/xvdb /dev/xvdc /dev/cdrom Perhaps it is bound by the limits of an IDE bus? (3 disks + CD-ROM) If so, how does one change the VM to use SCSI? Edit: According to the documentation: 2.6.3. VM Block Devices In the PV Linux case, block devices are passed through as PV devices. XenServer does not attempt to emulate SCSI or IDE, but instead provides a more suitable interface in the virtual environment in the form of xvd* devices. It is also possible to get an sd* device using the same mechanism, where the PV driver inside the VM takes over the SCSI device namespace. This is not desirable so it is best to use xvd* where possible for PV guests (this is the default for Debian and RHEL). For Windows or other fully virtualized guests, XenServer emulates an IDE bus in the form of an hd* device. When using Windows, installing the Citrix Tools for Virtual Machines installs a special PV driver that works in a similar way to Linux, except in the fully virtualized environment. Still, with 5 virtual disks attached, I don't see the other xvd devices.     I have an ELB set up with two instances. The issue I have with it is that when I do not add www. to it, the ELB just hangs. This is some info I get when I spider with wget: Spider mode enabled. HTTP request sent, awaiting response... No data received. Retrying. when I add www. it works great. I have a GoDaddy SSL cert that I added to the listener section that covers 3 domains, www.learning.example.com, files.learning.example.com and learning.example.com. These are my listener settings: - HTTP 80 HTTPS 443 N/A N/A - SSL 443 SSL 443 Change canvasNew (Change) My EC2 instances are running apache2 on Ubuntu 12.04. I will be happy to post my vhosts file if needed. However, when I ran the server with the domains pointing to just one EC2 instance things worked fine. How can I fix this issue for learning.example.com? Why does www work just fine? A second question would be what is the difference between instance protocol and load balancer protocol? EDIT: Here are the dig results for learning.example.com from yesterday. I changed the DNS entry to point to one instance to make sure it was the elb. It's running great. www and the non-www url work perfectly fine. Its only when I switch things to the ELB that learning.example.com hangs and www.learning.example.com works. Hopefully you can get some ideas flowing.

  • iptables 1.4 and passive FTP on custom port

    after the upgrade from debian squeeze to wheezy I've got a problem with passive FTP connection. I could narrow it to be iptables related, as I could connect via FTP w/o problems after adding my IP to the iptables ACCEPT rule. Before the upgrade I was able just to do modprobe nf_conntract_ftp ports=21332 and adding iptables -A THRU -p tcp --dport 21332 -m state --state NEW,ESTABLISHED,RELATED -j ACCEPT now..it doesn't help anymore. The INPUT rule is being triggered as I can see in the counter, but the directory listing is the last thing it does. Setting up a passive-port range is the last thing I want to do, I dislike open ports. I also tried the trick with helper mod by adding following rule before the actual rule for 21332 iptables -A THRU -p tcp -i eth0 --dport 21332 -m state --state NEW -m helper --helper ftp-21332 -j ACCEPT but it doesn't help and is even not being triggered according to counter.
