Angular ng-style not changing with property

For the life of me I cant seem to figure out why the style property is not getting updated. In my larger application it seems to work fine. http://jsfiddle.net/ganarajpr/C2hRa/4/ Here is a fiddle which shows the issue I am currently facing. You will notice that the width and height are getting updated in the div when you change the input. But the style itself doesnt seem to be updating. Anyone can tell me what I am doing wrong here? I have tried all the following scenarios using $scope.$apply.. - Throws an error stating $apply already in progress.. $rootScope.$apply - same as above. Setting another variable in a service which is $watched in the other controller. - no change seen. It would be really cool if someone can get me an answer to this. Also would be really happy if you can tell me why exactly it is not getting updated.

Connecting an overloaded PyQT signal using new-style syntax

I am designing a custom widget which is basically a QGroupBox holding a configurable number of QCheckBox buttons, where each one of them should control a particular bit in a bitmask represented by a QBitArray. In order to do that, I added the QCheckBox instances to a QButtonGroup, with each button given an integer ID: def populate(self, num_bits, parent = None): """ Adds check boxes to the GroupBox according to the bitmask size """ self.bitArray.resize(num_bits) layout = QHBoxLayout() for i in range(num_bits): cb = QCheckBox() cb.setText(QString.number(i)) self.buttonGroup.addButton(cb, i) layout.addWidget(cb) self.setLayout(layout) Then, each time a user would click on a checkbox contained in self.buttonGroup, I'd like self.bitArray to be notified so I can set/unset the corresponding bit in the array. For that I intended to connect QButtonGroup's buttonClicked(int) signal to QBitArray's toggleBit(int) method and, to be as pythonic as possible, I wanted to use new-style signals syntax, so I tried this: self.buttonGroup.buttonClicked.connect(self.bitArray.toggleBit) The problem is that buttonClicked is an overloaded signal, so there is also the buttonClicked(QAbstractButton*) signature. In fact, when the program is executing I get this error when I click a check box: The debugged program raised the exception unhandled TypeError "QBitArray.toggleBit(int): argument 1 has unexpected type 'QCheckBox'" which clearly shows the toggleBit method received the buttonClicked(QAbstractButton*) signal instead of the buttonClicked(int) one. So, the question is, how can we specify, using new-style syntax, that self.buttonGroup emits the buttonClicked(int) signal instead of the default overload - buttonClicked(QAbstractButton*)?

Hi I am using jquery 1.3.2 and asp.net mvc 1.0. Originally I was using some other rich html editor but I ran into one major problem when a user pasted in text from open office or MS office it would bring along tons of styling junk. If a user like wrote one sentence what was like 25 characters and pasted that into my current html editor the count would 25,000 characters and I don't want to store all that junk( I can't afford to). So tinyMCE seems to not have this problem. However I got some questions. It seems if you want to use for commercial use(what my site is but currently is not making very much at this time) you need to get a commercial license. However it does not say if it is free or if it will cost money. I am assuming it means that you will have to pay but I would like to confirm this. So do you have to pay for a license to use tinyMCe if your using it for commercial use? (Yes/ No) ------------------ Answer the following questions if you said "no" to the first question ----------- So would I use the jQuery package then or is it better to use the other versions? What is this .net compressor zip for? Do I need it? I only want a few of the buttons(like bold,font size) can I remove the other buttons? It seems to display a word count. How to parse out MS Word formatting?

I have a rich html textbox on my asp.net mvc application. The rich html textbox is some jquery plugin that I use and has basic stuff like bold,underline and etc. Now I am anticipating that people will maybe write something in word and then copy and paste it into my textbox. However I limit the number of characters a person can have. This is a test to show how much formatting gets made. • One • Two • Three So I wrote that above(it does not copy to well into here). Basically it is a line of text and "how" is bold and the "one,two,three" are a bullet list. Word says it is 70 characters long with spacing. Blend "Window is not supported in a WPF Project"

I am having a frustrating time with Blend reporting "Window is not supported in a Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) project." due to unbuildable configurations but can't quite work out how to mangle my way out of it. I've worked out it is probably due to my trying to have a single solution with x86 and x64 configurations. There is no way to tell Blend 2 which is the active Solution Configuration and active Solution Platform. I think it's a bit of a weakness in the configuration system, or maybe the way I've set things up, but I have Debug64 and Debug solution configurations one of each is used with the platform x86 and x64. I also think it's a simple sorting problem - x64 comes before x86 and Debug comes before Debug64 so Blend ends up with an unbuildable config of Debug with x64. When I choose the combination of Debug and x64 in VS, its XAML editor can't load either. The solution is a moderately complex one - there's a pure Win32 DLL, C++/CLI Model project and two other WPF assemblies used by the main WPF project. UPDATE I have ripped all the x64 config out of my solution and rebuilt everything with no effect. I then uninstalled Blend 2 and installed Blend 3 - it doesn't like things either. The Visual Studio XAML editor is still very happy as is the program building and running. (echoes of strangled scream of frustration from oz)

Good practice to create extension methods that apply to System.Object?

Hello, I'm wondering whether I should create extension methods that apply on the object level or whether they should be located at a lower point in the class hierarchy. What I mean is something along the lines of: public static string SafeToString(this Object o) { if (o == null || o is System.DBNull) return ""; else { if (o is string) return (string)o; else return ""; } } public static int SafeToInt(this Object o) { if (o == null || o is System.DBNull) return 0; else { if (o.IsNumeric()) return Convert.ToInt32(o); else return 0; } } //same for double.. etc I wrote those methods since I have to deal a lot with database data (From the OleDbDataReader) that can be null (shouldn't, though) since the underlying database is unfortunately very liberal with columns that may be null. And to make my life a little easier, I came up with those extension methods. What I'd like to know is whether this is good style, acceptable style or bad style. How to use ContentPresenter on Window?

I've got a ResourceDictionary file that contains a bunch of resources to define elements of my UI. Including one for my DialogWindows, which will just be Windows. <Style x:Key="DialogWindow" TargetType="{x:Type Window}" > <Setter Property="OverridesDefaultStyle" Value="True"/> <Setter Property="WindowStyle" Value="None" /> <Setter Property="Template"> <Setter.Value> <ControlTemplate TargetType="{x:Type Window}"> <Grid Background="{StaticResource SunkenBackground}"> <StackPanel Margin="20,20,20,20" Background="{StaticResource SunkenBackground}"> <AdornerDecorator> <ContentPresenter/> </AdornerDecorator> </StackPanel> </Grid> </ControlTemplate> </Setter.Value> </Setter> </Style> As you can see every DialogWindow should have a grid and a stackpanel, and then the content goes inside there. I've added the file to my App.xaml, and on one of my dialog windows I added Style="{StaticResource DialogWindow}". So the question is: Now that I have my Template set up for a window, and things are actually styled properly once I've added the StaticResource, what tags do I use to wrap my content in inside of my DialogWindow? I tried wrapping them inside Grid, but that just breaks the layout. If I wrap them inside a StackPanel, they look correct, but then I've got 2 StackPanels and a Grid, when if I didn't include the template I could just have 1 StackPanel and a Grid (I realize I could just take the stackpanel out of the template and do it for every DialogWindow, but that doesn't seem like a good solution). I'm styling a listBox. i'm trying to clear the margins, so I realized which it, I set the padding of the style to 0 (left padding). But I can still seeing some margin in it, and I need to have no margin in it? OnApplyTemplate not called in Custom Control

I am SICK AND TIRED of WPF and all its "if thats dosen't work, try this" fucking fixes ALL THE TIME, well heres one the collection: I have a Custom Control which uses some PART controls: [TemplatePart(Name = "PART_TitleTextBox", Type = typeof(TextBox))] [TemplatePart(Name = "PART_TitleIndexText", Type = typeof(Label))] [TemplatePart(Name = "PART_TimeCodeInText", Type = typeof(TextBlock))] [TemplatePart(Name = "PART_TimeCodeOutText", Type = typeof(TextBlock))] [TemplatePart(Name = "PART_ApprovedImage", Type = typeof(Image))] [TemplatePart(Name = "PART_CommentsImage", Type = typeof(Image))] [TemplatePart(Name = "PART_BookmarkedImage", Type = typeof(Image))] public class TitleBoxNew : Control { This control is overriding OnApplyTemplate: public override void OnApplyTemplate() { base.OnApplyTemplate(); InitializeEvents(); } Which works well, most of the time.. I have added the control inside a custom tab control in a window and somehow OnApplyTemplate is never called for that control! WHY IS WPF SO FUCKING RANDOM!?

Creating blob properties with Entity Framework 4?

I am creating an EF4 model-first application with a WPF UI. One of the controls on my UI is a RichTextDocument, which outputs a WPF FlowDocument. I can either serialize the FlowDocument to a byte array, or extract its XAML markup as a string. I would prefer to use binary serialization, if I can. Here are my questions: If I serialize to a byte array, how do I specify an entity property as a byte array in the EDM Designer? If I extract a XAML markup string, can I specify that the EDM Designer create the corresponding database column as a nvarchar(max) column? As to the second question, I assume I could always manually edit the MyModel.edmx.sql file to change the data type from nvarchar(4000) to nvarchar(max) before executing it, but I would like to know if it can be done in the Designer. Thanks for your help.

Using Twain Dot Net in XBAP (Deployed via ASP.NET)

First Version: Is there a way to use Twain Dot Net in a XBAP (WPF in browser)? Second Version: I have a setup exe (installation) that puts TwainDotNet.dll and TwainDotNet.Wpf.dll on client machine and registers them in GAC (using gacutil.exe). I have also a XBAP page on my server (IIS). (The XBAP part of the project works fine locally and I am using those 2 twin libraries registered in GAC locally too. And on client machine I have registered my generated certification in Trusted Root and Publishers. I have tested my XBAP without Twin libs on the client machine(s) and it works fine; test XBAP edits a text file on client machine hard). Now; when I browse my XBAP on a client, I get : "Error getting information about the default source: Failure"; which I think happens in GetDefault of DataSource class. Is there any work around? Mixing Silverlight-Specific System.Xml.Linq dll with Non-Silverlight System.Xml.Linq dll

I have a Logic layer that references Silverlight's System.Xml.Linq dll and a GUI that is in WPF (hence using the non-Silverlight System.Xml.Linq dll). When I attempt to pass an XElement from GUI project to a method in the Logic project, I am getting (basically) "XElement is not of type XElement" errors. To complicate matter, I am unable to edit the Logic layer project. The Non-Silverlight DLL is at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Reference Assemblies\Microsoft\Framework\v3.5\System.Xml.Linq.dll THe Silverlight DLL is at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Silverlight\v3.0\Libraries\Client\System.Xml.Linq.dll I am new to C# but I'm fairly sure my issue is that I am referencing different DLL's to access the System.Xml.Linq namespace. I attempted to replace my non-Silverlight System.Xml.Linq.dll with the Silverlight's System.Xml.Linq.dll, but received assembly errors. Is there any way to resolve this short of scrapping my WPF GUI project and creating a Silverlight project?

Mike Cohn-style burndown charts in JIRA

We use Jira/Greenhopper for our project planning/tracking. The built-in graphs are great, but when a new issue/story is added during a project, the whole burn-down graph moves up rather than increasing the part of the graph when the issue was added. Ideally I'd like to generate a Mike Cohn-style burndown graph, which shows a hump when new issues are added. Does anyone know of any plugins that support this, or been able to extract this data directly from the database?

I'm looking to something very specific with <Path.Data/> children in Silverlight, in particular <PathGeometry/>, <EllipseGeometry/>, etc. While the <Path/> element has a .Fill property, I'd like to add a .Fill property to any of it's Geometries, meaning it's a different color from it's parent. It could be a <SolidColorBrush/> or <LinearGradientBrush/> color, or a percentage of the parent color (like 20% darker than <Path.Fill/>. Is this possible? Is this a dependency property? How would <RectangleGeometry/>, for example, know that I am trying to fill it with a color? How would I get started? (adding WPF as a tag too as someone who knows WPF may be able to help)

Panels-style UI for arbitrary CCK fields?

I have a Drupal content type that has unlimited photo, textbox, and external link CCK fields, but while fields themselves can be reordered via drag-drop (i.e. photo B before photo A), I can't arbitrarily order amongst fields (i.e. photo B, link A, photo A, text A, link B). Panels is awesome, with its drag and drop, and just what I'm looking for interface-wise. Has anyone seen a Panels-style UI for ordering arbitrary collections of disparate CCK fields?

Hi and welcome! I'm Bazza and this is my geeks blog. I have 20 years Visual Studio mainly C++, MFC, ATL and now, thankfully, C# and I am embarking on the new world (well new to me) of WPF, so I thought I would try and capture my successful...and not so successful...WPF experiences with the geek world. So where to start? WPF? What I know so far... From wiki..."Windows Presentation Foundation (or WPF) is a graphical subsystem for rendering user interfaces in Windows-based applications." Hmm, great but didn't MFC, ATL (my head hurt with that one), and .Net all have APIs to allow me to code against the Windows Graphical Device Interface (GDI)? "Rather than relying on the older GDI subsystem, WPF utilizes DirectX. WPF attempts to provide a consistent programming model for building applications and provides a separation between the user interface and the business logic." OK, different drawing code, same Windows and weren't we always taught to separate our UI, Business Layer and Data Access Layer? "WPF employs XAML, a derivative of XML, to define and link various UI elements. WPF applications can be deployed as standalone desktop programs, or hosted as an embedded object in a website." Cool, now we're getting somewhere. So when they say separation they really mean separation. The crux of this appears to be that you can have creative people writing the UI and making it attractive and intuitive to use, whist the geeks concentrate on writing the Business and Data Access stuff. XAML (eXtensible Application Markup Language) maps XML elements and attributes directly to Common Language Runtime (CLR) object instances, properties and events. True separation of the View and Model. WPF also provides logical separation of a control from its appearance. In a traditional Windows system, all Controls have a base class containing a Windows handle and each Control knows how to render itself. In WPF, the controls are more like those in a Web Browser using Cascading Style Sheet, they are not wrappers for standard Windows Controls. Instead, they have a default 'template' that defines a visual theme which can easily be replaced by a custom template. But it gets better. WPF concentrates heavily on Data Binding where the client can bind directly to data on the server. I think this concept was first introduced in 'Classic' Visual Basic, where you could bind a list directly to a data from an Access database, and you could do similar in ASP .Net. However, the WPF implementation is far superior than it's predecessors. There are also other technologies that I want to look at like LINQ and the Entity Framework, but that's all for now. #

How to get cursor to change before mouse moves when changing the cursor style dynamically

I'm changing my cursor dynamically by setting node.style.cursor = 'foo' when an item becomes selected. It seems that my cursor doesn't change until the mouse moves a pixel. Is there a way to tell the browser to change it immediately?

Creating an Android View with a particular style programmatically

How can I create a view with a particular style programmatically (not in XML)? I tried using this [View (Context context, AttributeSet attrs, int defStyle)][1], but I don't know what to parse in for the second argument.
