  I've got my HTML inside of $html. dom = new DOMDocument(); $dom->loadHTML($html); $xpath = new DOMXPath($dom); $tags = $xpath->query('//div[@id="header"]'); foreach($tags as $tag) { var_dump($tag->nodeValue); // the innerHTML of that element var_dump($tag); // object(DOMElement)#3 (0) { } } Is there a way to get that node, or remove it? Basically, I'm parsing an existing website and need to remove elements from it. What method do I call to do that? Thanks

• WCF Custom WSDL XmlSerializerOperationBehavior

  Hi, I have code that builds a custom WCF wsdl on the fly. In one particular scenario, the WSDL exported should use the XmlSerializerOperationBehavior as the IWsdlExportExtension as opposed to the default DataContractSerializerOperationBehavior IWsdlExportExtension. However, every time I try this from the WSDL generation code, I get a null reference exception from the ExportBody method of the XmlSerializerMessageContractExporter (which is used internally in System.ServiceModel by the XmlSerializerOperationBehavior ExportContract method). I've reflector'd it and I can't see anything obviously wrong. For some reason, .NET also doesn't want to work with source stepping in this scenario... Simply, the most basic way I can reproduce this is var c = ContractDescription.GetContract(typeof(IMyService)); foreach (var op in c.Operations) { op.Behaviors.Remove(typeof(DataContractSerializerOperationBehavior)); op.Behaviors.Insert(0, new XmlSerializerOperationBehavior(op)); } new WsdlExporter().ExportContract(c); // throws NullReferenceException Does anyone have any ideas on this?   Why does an event handler never get called if it's added within a loop on an ienumerable? For instance: IEnumerable<MyType> list = someCollection.Select(i => new MyType(i)); foreach (var item in list) item.PropertyChanged += item_PropertyChanged; <-- this never gets called Bu if list is assigned like list = someCollection.Select(i => new MyType(i)).ToArray(); the event handler does get called.. Why? (I imagine it has something to do with the fact that a LINQ query is lazy, but the fact of looping through the result isn't enough?)

  I have a Powershell script that reads values off of the pipeline: PARAM ( [Parameter(ValueFromPipeline = $true)] $s ) PROCESS { echo "* $s" } Works just fine: PS my.ps1 foo * foo I would like the script to have list of default values, as the most common usage will always use the same values and storing them in the default will be most convenient. I did the usual assignment: PARAM ( [Parameter(ValueFromPipeline = $true)] $s = 'bar' ) PROCESS { echo "* $s" } Again, works just fine: PS my.ps1 * bar PS my.ps1 foo * foo However when setting the default to be a list, I get back something entirely reasonable but not at all what I want: PARAM ( [Parameter(ValueFromPipeline = $true)] $s = @('bar', 'bat', 'boy') ) PROCESS { echo "* $s" } Result: PS my.ps1 * bar bat boy I expected: PS my.ps1 * bar * bat * boy How can I get one call in to the Process loop for each default value? (This is somewhat different than getting one call in to Process, and wrapping the current body of in a big foreach loop over $s).

  I have a multidimensional array. The array itself is fine. My problem is that the script takes up monster amounts of memory, and since I'm running this on my MAMP install on my iBook G4, my computer freezes up.   How can I build in wildcards to my LINQ To SQL lambda expression? I'm experimenting with SqlMethods.Like() but to no avail. The filters above look like this: "<key>NID</key><value>mcass</value>". I'd like to be able to pass filters like this: "<key>NID</key><value>%m%</value>"

What I'm looking for is an array that has the timestamp of week start (monday 00.00 to sunday 11.59) that I can then use in MYSQL queries. Has anyone got an code that might assist? • Select only items in a specific DIV using HtmlAgilityPack

  I'm trying to use the HtmlAgilityPack to pull all of the links from a page that are contained within a div declared as <div class='content'> However, when I use the code below I simply get ALL links on the entire page. This doesn't really make sense to me since I am calling SelectNodes from the sub-node I selected earlier (which when viewed in the debugger only shows the HTML from that specific div). So, it's like it's going back to the very root node every time I call SelectNodes. The code I use is below: HtmlWeb hw = new HtmlWeb(); HtmlDocument doc = hw.Load(@"http://example.com"); HtmlNode node = doc.DocumentNode.SelectSingleNode("//div[@class='content']"); foreach(HtmlNode link in node.SelectNodes("//a[@href]")) { Console.WriteLine(link.Value); } Is this the expected behavior?   Hi, This is a powershell/AD/Exchange question.... I'm running a script against a number of Users to check some of their attributes however I'm having trouble getting this to output to CSV. The script runs well and does exactly what I need it to do, the output on screen is fine, I'm just having trouble getting it to directly export to csv. The input is a comma seperated txt file of usernames (eg "username1,username2,username3") I've experimented with creating custom ps objects, adding to them and then exporting those but its not working.... Any suggestions gratefully received.. • How can I download all files of a specific type from a website using PHP?

  I want to get all midi (*.mid) files from a site that's set up pretty simple in terms of directory tree structure. I wish we had wget installed here, but that's another party.... The site is VGMusic.com and the path containing all of the midi files is: http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/nes/ I tried glob'ing it out, but I suppose that glob only works locally? • NHibernate, the Parallel Framework, and SQL Server

  hey guys, we have a loop that: 1.Loops over several thousand xml files. Altogether we're parsing millions of "user" nodes. 2.In each iteration we parse a "user" xml, do custom deserialization 3.finally, in each iteration, we send our object to nhibernate for saving. We use: .SaveOrUpdateAndFlush(user); This is a lengthy process, and we thought it would be a perfect candidate for testing out the .NET 4.0 Parallel libraries. So we wrapped the loop in a: Parallel.ForEach(); After doing this, we start getting "random" Timeout Exceptions from SQL Server, and finally, after leaving it running all night, OutOfMemory unhandled exceptions. I haven't done deep debugging on this yet, but what do you guys think. Is this simply a limitation of SQL Server, or could it be our NHibernate setup, or what? cheers andy

• PHP set timeout for script, set_time_limit not working

  I have a command-line PHP script that runs a wget request using each member of an array with foreach. This wget request can sometimes take a long time so I want to be able to set a timeout for killing the script if it goes past 15 seconds for example. I have PHP safemode disabled and tried set_time_limit(15) early in the script, however it continues indefinitely. I've given up troubleshooting set_time_limit() and was trying to find other ways to kill the script after 15 seconds of execution. However, I'm not sure if it's possible to check the time a script has been running while it's in the middle of a wget request at the same time (a do while loop did not work). Thanks for any tips!
