• How do I get Hudson to stop escaping parts of my shell script?

  I would like to have a shell script that copies some logs from a part of my system to the hudson workspace so I can archive them. So right now I have #!/bin/bash -ex cp /directory/structure/*.log . This is kind enough to be changed to cp '/directory/structure/*.log' . Which of course is not found since I don't have a file named *.log. So how do I get this script to work?

• Why doesn't Java allow for the creaton of generic arrays?

  There are plenty of questions on stackoverflow from people who have attempted to create an array of generics like so: ArrayList<Foo>[] poo = new ArrayList<Foo>[5]; And the answer of course is that the Java specification doesn't allow you to declare an array of generics. My question however is why ? What is the technical reason underlying this restriction in the java language or java vm? It's a technical curiosity I've always wondered about.

  So the code in question is this: const String String::operator+ (const String& rhs) { String tmp; tmp.Set(this->mString); tmp.Append(rhs.mString); return tmp; } This of course places the String on the stack and it gets removed and returns garbage. And placing it on the heap would leak memory. So how should I do this?

I'm doing: xmlDoc = new XDocument(new XDeclaration("1.0", "utf-8", "yes")); xmlDoc.Add(new XElement("Images")); xmlDoc .Save("C:\\Backup\\images.xml"); But doesn't work. It only works if I use just the filename, like "images.xml", but of course, the file gets saved on the execution path.

  I have FrameworkElement, for example Grid, that has children(Cells, implemented in another control). When main Window changes size, i handle sizeChanged in Grid at first, and after that in some of its children. How can i get notify that all children sizeChanged events finished processing? Of course, i can raise other event in child sizeChanged and increase some counter, but for some reasons it is not the best decision. Can anyone recommend something? Thanks!

The catch of course is that the singleton connection will be exposed (either directly or indirectly) via a web-service (most probable a SOAP based web-service - located on a separate server from the calling app(s) ) - which means that there may be more than one app / instance attempting to connect to the singleton class.   Hello, I need a way to install a distribuible application without user intervention, of course I currently have a distribution profile installed on my device (I can install or uninstall the application by means of iTunes or iPCU), the problem remain on the side of automation "no user intervention is required", basically I need to develop a software (maybe hack iTunesMobileDevice.dll) that install the application when a valid device (the one with a valid distribution profile) is connected to one machine (application server), so any ideas??....
