  Hi! I need some advice about how should I start coding something. So here is the context: I've just finished building a CMS that manage a SQLite database. My application will be picking this database and use its content as the application's content. So far it's pretty simple. The application will have a navigation that will browse through various workflows, and once at the end workflow, it'll show contents from the database. A consultation kind a thing, example: Liquids - Juice - Orange Juice - Informations about Orange Juice. For my SQLite transactions, so far I believe I'll be using fmdb. It looks like a great wrapper. Here's a simple schema from one of the database: Workflow: id: { type: integer(3), primary: true, autoincrement: true } workflow_id: { type: integer(1) } name: { type: string(255) } That table's rows will be my navigations. Do you believe I should use a navigation controller? If so, then how could I generate the navigation tree from it? I have a good working knowledge of Objective-C and Foundation framework, but never went too far with it so that is why I'm asking before starting in the wrong direction :) Thanks a lot.

I tried to apply the same rules with outer_list deletion but whenever i delete the head element of inner_list it gives an error. Where is the wrong thing in print_node or delnode2?

  i've always wanted to make games but did not start actively learning programming by myself until 1st year of university. i kept going throughout university learning new languages, showing off things i had made, while neglecting my major in Biology. Anyways, i've ended up with an Economics degree, with a portfolio of SaaS and web apps i had created so i could eat during my final year. So far, I'm getting a few interviews here and there in web programming positions. When I get a logic pretest, I fail miserably. or job requires comp sci degree. I mean I can easily design and code an entire app which I emphasize through my portfolio.... but i dont know why I am so slow at logic puzzles on prescreening interview... So what should I do now ? get certificates in languages ? go back to school and learn CS ? is it too late to get into windows programming jobs than web programming ?

  I followed the Djangoappengine instructions. I used their django-testapp and copied the following folders in the django-testapp folder according to what I understood the instructions to say: django djangoappengine djangotoolbox I then started the dev server by running: manage.py runserver Then navigated to http://localhost:8000/ and got the "It worked!" page, which is great, but it says the following at the bottom: You're seeing this message because you have DEBUG = True in your Django settings file and you haven't configured any URLs. Get to work! I am an absolute beginner with Django and App Engine and Djangoappengine and Django-nonrel, so I am pretty lost. How do I configure URLs? Or a link to the how to will help. I took a look at the Django tutorial, but am unsure how much of it is relevant to Djangoappengine and Django-nonrel as a lot of the starting steps have to do with SQL databases. Basically some direction on how to get my app running will be great. Thanx much.

• How should I migrate DDL changes from one environment to the next?

  I make DDL changes using SQL Developer's GUI. Problem is, I need to apply those same changes to the test environment. I'm wondering how others handle this issue. Currently I'm having to manually write ALTER statements to bring the test environment into alignment with the development environment, but this is prone to error (doing the same thing twice). In cases where there's no important data in the test environment I usually just blow everything away, export the DDL scripts from dev and run them from scratch in test. I know there are triggers that can store each DDL change, but this is a heavily shared environment and I would like to avoid that if possible. Maybe I should just write the DDL stuff manually rather than using the GUI?

  I currently have a scrolling anchor animation that also adds an "active" class to the anchor clicked. I am trying to fit the below function into the works as well, so say someone clicks "anchor 1", "anchor 1" will get an active class and the window will scroll to that location. But, after that has happened say the user manually begins scrolling down the page, I want the active class to be removed. The problem I am running up against now is that the below function will happen when the scrolling animation from a clicked anchor is taking place.   I'm wondering how long a (theoretically) desktop-app can consume the full 4GB limitation of these express/embedded database products (SQL-Server Express, Oracle Express, SQLite3, etc) provided that big blobs will be stored in filesystem. Also what would be your strategy when it hits the 4GB? Archive the old DB Copy 1-3 months of data to the new DB (consider this as cache strategy?) Start using the new DB from this point onward (How do you access the old data?) I understand that the answer might varies depending on how much data you stored in the table/column. But please describe based on your experience (what kind of desktop-app, write/read heavy, how long will it reach according to your guess).

  Dynamic integer will be any number from 0 to 150. i.e. - number returns 41, need to return 50. If number is 10 need to return 10. Number is 1 need to return 10. Was thinking I could use the ceiling function if I modify the integer as a decimal...? then use ceiling function, and put back to decimal? Can anyone tell me why the session cant pass values from verify.php to /memberarea/index.php

  Hi, that may be really simple but i'm unable to find a good answer. How can I make a macro representing first a certain value and then a different one ? I know that's nasty but i need it to implicitly declare a variable the first time and then do nothing. This variable is required by other macros that i'm implementing. Should i leverage "argument prescan" ? thanks for the answers. EDIT To make things clearer. Suppose i have a macro FOO, and I do something like FOO FOO FOO I would like the result to be foo bar bar I don't want the actual code to be cluttered by ifndef.   I have n humans of THuman class Each human has scored some points in one of two rounds. (score1 and score2) Each human has its unique id. Score1 and 2 are also unique. Besides, a human has a score_t=score1+score2, which can be the same for two of them. I need to implement 6 variables to THuman which return id of a human with: bigger score1 smaller score1 bigger score2 smaller score2 bigger score_t smaller score_t (if there are many humans those satisfy theese conditions, the one with smallest difference of corresponding parameter should be chosen (like score1 for 1 and 2)) In other words, it's some kind of storing 3 human sortings. Two more functions I need should get argument x, set score1 or score 2 to x, and then refresh some of the 6 variables above. If I needed sorting by only one variable, I would simply create set and defined and < operators for my class. But what is the solution for three of parameters? Is it possible to use STL here, or I should create my own lists/treaps? __ Answer: How to update set of pointers c++?
