  • hide XML element from appearing in browser

    HI, I have a website which I am setting up. However, I want the first page (Home) not to have any sub menu. When I change the value of true to false all the other pages where I want the drop down to appear also disappear. I want other pages to have sub menu but not the home page. I have tried to change the xml path etc, but nothing seems to work. Can somebody please advise on this. I am new to xml and finding this very challenging. I have uploaded the config.xml and the layout xml's.   • Actionscript 3.0 Get all instances of a class?

    I got a ton of movieclips in a class. Is there a more efficient way to apply a function to every instance in the class other than this? var textArray:Array = [ interludes.interludeIntro.interludeBegin1, interludes.interludeIntro.interludeBegin2, interludes.interludeIntro.interludeBegin3, interludes.interludeIntro.interludeBegin4, interludes.interludeIntro.interludeBegin5, interludes.interludeIntro.interludeBegin6, interludes.interludeIntro.interludeBegin7, //... ... ... interludes.interludeIntro.interludeBegin15 ]; for each (var interludeText:MovieClip in interludeBeginText) { interludeText.alpha = 0 //clear all text first } Also for some reason this doesn't work: interludes.interludeIntro.alpha = 0; It permanently turns that class invisible, even if I try to make specific instances visible later with: interludes.interludeIntro.interludeBegin1.alpha = 1; I have NO idea why the above doesn't work. I want to turn every single instance in the class interludeIntro invisible, but I want to turn specific instances visible later. (btw I have no idea how to insert code on this website, pressing "code" doesn't do anything, so pardon the bad formatting)

  • Image impending other elements in iphone app view!

    Hi. If someone could help I have a view in my iphone app with an image, a label and a button. I have positioned the image at the back however when I run the simulator the image is all that is showing. I have done exactly the same thing with other views and they work fine but can't get this one to work. I have checked that the image is "send to back" and other elements are at the front. Still no good. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

    Say I have 2 subclasses from UIViewController, class A and class B. In Main nib file an object is representing class A and it is set to load file from Secondary nib file. The owner of Secondary nib is of class B. The question is - from which class an object in Main nib file will be instanciated once the nib files unarchived in the memory? The reason this question arised is that I have to take care myself if such reference to external NIB file present, to ensure that the first nib's object and second nib's owner is same. Please correct me if my statement is wrong.

    We have a very large SWF hosted in a website which is just a repository of hundreds of movies/symbols. We load this SWF at the beginning with the Loader class but then the client will access a very few of them at that moment. Is it possible to tell the loader to download symbols only when they're needed? (as with applicationDomain.getDefinition(...)). Thanks in advance.

    Hi, Is it feasible to play a number of FLV files at the same time on one SWF? Basically I have a brief to create a video banner with a number of FLVs of people playing at the same time but starting at different points in the videos. My concerns are with loading times, memory consumption and the starting of each FLV at a different point and looping it. The FLVs will be stored on a server and pseudo-streamed.   • Activating a button underneath the mouse: how do you capture the OVER event?

    Observed behavior: I have a page of UI sliding onto the screen. On slide complete, activate buttons. If mouse already over a button, the rollover does not happen (since MOUSE_OVER hasn't technically occurred) Desired behavior: 1, 2 the same, but on 3, I see my rollover. Is there any way to easily do this, aside from something brute-force, like tracking the mouse and comparing its position against all buttons dims? Thanks!

    Hi Everyone, I'm currently working on my first iOS application to run on the iPad, and I've come across a problem. I have been asked to implement menu's similar to the ones in the default applications such as when you click on the "Calendars" button in the top left of the calendars app. Only issue is, I cant seem to find a standard UI object that looks like these, with the arrow connecting the menu to the button etc. Is this a standard UI component that I should be able to use, or will I have to imitate them by creating a custom object? I have tried a lot of codes and right now it throws me this error: Scene=Escena 1, layer=Capa 1, frame=1, Line 9 There is no property with the name 'content'. Any idea? If you have a better code i will thank you so much.

    Building an iPad app. I have a button on my main view that I want to launch a help window. The help window is fairly involved and has its own xib/controller. I resized the help window's XIB and saved it. I instantiated it and added it to the application controller's views as a modal. For some reason this window is still taking up the entire screen. What I really want to do is have a "view" that's maybe 70% of the width and height that lays over the normal view as a modal. How is this accomplished normally? I want it to require that they hit a button to close it. Thanks

    I'm creating a list component with different numbers on each label ranging from 1 to 10. When clicked on a number I need it to bring up that many inputtext boxes one after another.. It's pretty much a multiplayer game that you select how many players are playing, then you input each name.. I'm so stuck it's ridiculous.. if anyone has a solution, or a different idea please help me out, thank you so much in advance.
