I'd like to have two options: Option 1 (for individuals): Fixed $6/mo subscription Option 2 (for organizations): A subscription where the amount is set by the subscriber PayPal's "Subscribe" button does not seem to allow that: When I leave the "Amount" field of the 2nd option empty, I get an error: So, is this not possible?   • Ubuntu 12.04 video issue on Dell Inspiron 1100

    I have an old clunker - Dell Inspiron 1100 with A32 BIOS. I managed to install correctly from a USB drive, and the screen showed graphics in full natice 1024 x 768 - as did the 'try from USB' Ubuntu option. Once I committed to a full install on the HDD, the video resolution comes up as 640 x 480 with no other resolutions to change to full screen. Does anyone have some advice to allow the full LCD panel to be used? Thanks for reading Ed

Given that the current round-trip light time is 6 hrs 53 minutes, a decision to go for a bail-out fly-past must be taken some 10 days in advance of the actual fly-past.

  • xfce4 - 'Run Program' dialogue box does not appear when double clicking script

    Ubuntu 12.04 Xfce4 On my previous Ubuntu distro, when I double clicked scripts I got a little dialogue window that asked me if I wanted to run the script as a program or run it in terminal. Similar to this window: Since upgrading, I have never seen that window. I have ensured that the option to 'Allow executing as a program is enabled' and the script works if I run it through terminal. I simply just don't get the prompt. Any ideas?

  • How to download an MP3 or ZIP file onto mobile devices

    I want to be able to download digital goods to smartphone users (music in format .mp3 or .zip). But iPhone and iPad do not allow direct forced downloads. How can I provide mobile users with digital downloads? I use PHP. The only way I can think of to do this is to use the Dropbox Web API to transfer files to the user's Dropbox account, which then synchronizes with their mobile device. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

    I am trying to create a form inside Drupal that will allow me to create a directory similar to this diagram: http://i.imgur.com/EtChBbG.jpg I tried looking into HTML tables but it is too basic for what I'm trying to do. How do I create a directory that can archive data in an alphabetical ordering? It also has to be able to sort by letters and other categories. Does anyone have an idea of how I should go about doing this? Thanks!

  • No internet access when VPN connected

    I have an OpenVPN config that I use on my Windows XP box and on my Ubuntu machine. When I use it with my Windows machine, I can connect to the VPN and access sites on the VPN, and the internet as normal. When I use it on my Ubuntu box, when connected to the VPN, I can only access internal sites - No internet access at all. I'm sure there is a way to configure OpenVPN on Ubuntu to allow internet connections, but I can't figure out how.

  • A better way to organize your Silverlight Code Snippets.

    I hate re-writing code. I also hate it when I find a great code snippet on the web and forget to bookmark it or it gets lost in my endless sea of bookmarks. So what do you do to get around this? This is the question that I was asking myself at the end of 2010. How can I get my Silverlight code organized? My requirements for a snippet manager were: Needs to be FREE. An easy way to view XAML/C# code behind together in one “view”. I wanted the ability to store the code snippets in cloud in case my HDD dies. Searchable Keywords to quickly find code snippets. I started looking for a snippet manager that would allow me to do just that and finally found Snippet Manager. Before going any further, I think that one of the most important things to note here is that this software supports 37 languages. It’s not just for Silverlight developers nor C# only guys. The software supports Java, SQL and even COBOL.   Below is a screenshot of the Snippet Manager that shows my Silverlight code snippet. You will notice that I have highlighted two sections. The top part is my XAML and the bottom is my C# code behind. I’ve included a sample below of my code snippets so that you can get an idea of how I organized it. Another thing that’s great about this software is that it supports plain text. I added some connection strings in the TEXT section below.  Once you have finished adding your code snippets, you can store them in the cloud. I created a FTP directory called “snippets” on my FTP Server and hit the upload button once I am finished adding my new codes snippets. This will allow me to use the code snippets on another computer with this application on my USB Key. See screenshots below: Enter your FTP credentials below: Hit the Uploads button on the Toolbar: Login in to your FTP Server and verify the following files are now on the FTP Server: Another great feature of the Snippet Manager is that you can also integrate this into VS2010 by clicking Tools –> External Tools: And setting up your External Screen to point to the Executable: You can now launch it by going to Tools –> Snippet Manager. If you want you could also a shortcut to launch the program with HotKeys. As you can see, this is a nice little program that includes everything needed to organize your code snippets very clean.     Hi there i installed moodle to a directory with softaculous as it doesn't allow installing to subdomain, after install I created a subdomain and pointed the destination (of subdomain) to previously created moodle directory, now when I go to the subdomain.example.com it says Incorrect access detected, this server may be accessed only through "http://example.com/moodle" address, sorry. Please notify server administrator. Any suggestions much appreciated! I must be doing something wrong, when installing it was very similar to these instructions
