• Removing all Matching Classes in jQuery

  Hi I have an li element that will have something along the lines of this for a declaration <li class="module ui-helper-fix"> And I can dynamically change the color of the module by adding on classes (That are provided dynamically through DB calls) the end result being <li class="module ui-helper-fix module-green"> or <li class="module ui-helper-fix module-default"> Well I am fine with changing the color by adding on a new module-WHATEVER class but what I would like to do is remove any class that matches module-XXXX so it starts with a clean slate and then add on the class module-crimson. So how do I remove all classes that match module-xxx first ? Keeping in mind I don't want to remove the base module class. Thanks. -Seth

  I have an mnesia table with fields say f1, f2, f3. Now if I were to select all the rows with the field value as V1, I would use mnesia:select and match specifications or a simple mnesia:match_object. Now I need to select all the rows which have V1, V2, V3 ... or Vn (a list of arbitrary length) as the value for field f1. In SQL I would do something like SELECT * FROM tablename WHERE f3 IN (V1, V2, V3, ... , Vn) How do I do this in mnesia?

My question is, the number of free bytes reported by the above code (the _tprintf statement) doesn't match with the number of free bytes of the drive (which i check by doing a right click on the drive). I wish to know if the reason for this difference?

• Odd results when searching for numbers using IXSSO.Query

  Hi, from classic asp on Windows 2008, using an IXSSO.Query, when searching for a string of numbers, for example 10000000001, I receive results that also include variations to this, like 10000000002 10000000003 and so on. If I change the first digit so the search string is 20000000001 I dont get anything. If I keep moving the last digit from my first example to the left, I keep getting hits until I reach the half way point when I get no results! So in other words 10000020000 will return results like in the first example but 10000200000 does not. This all sounds like to me that its doing a match on the first 6 characters and it ignores the rest... Here is relevant parts of the Set oQuery = Server.CreateObject("IXSSO.Query") oQuery.Catalog = SEARCH_CATALOG oQuery.Query = "@all " & searchstr Set oRS = oQuery.CreateRecordset("nonsequential") Anyone got any ideas and/or suggestions? • cant get my listbox to display objects

  Hello everyone I've been trying to put some objects in an ASP.NET list box but its just not working. I do have an overriden ToString method so I cant understand why this statement wont work. • Building path independent mod_rewrite statements for generic .htaccess file

  Say I have three small web applications stored under a shared web root: www.example.com/app1/ www.example.com/app2/ www.example.com/app3/ www.example.com/app4/ each application has a .htaccess file containing some run-off-the-mill mod_rewrite statements to rewrite urls like RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/app1/([^/]+)/([^/]+)\.html$ RewriteRule .* /app1/index.php?selectedProfile=%1&match=%2&%{QUERY_STRING} now, I would like to have a generic .htaccess file in each /app{n} directory. So, no RewriteBase and no /app{n} prefix in the RewriteConds. One idea I had was making the first level a wildcard directory as well: RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/([^/]+)/([^/]+)/([^/]+)\.html$ seeing as the .htaccess file gets triggered only when the /app{n} directory is entered, this should work. Is this an acceptable solution? Are there other, better ones?

• Is strftime (hour) showing wrong time?

  I'm using this line to get the beginning time of the first day of the month. t = Time.now.to_date.beginning_of_month.beginning_of_day When i display this using t.strftime("%A %b %e @ %l:%m %p") it shows: Monday Feb 1 @ 12:02 AM The hour is always 12 (instead of 00), and more wierd the minute changes to match the month in integers. For the February date, it shows 12:02 AM I use .prior_month and .next_month on the variable to move forward or backwards in time. So when I move to June, this would display as Tuesday June 1 @ 12:06 AM But when I just show the value of "t" using a straight t.to_s, I get this time of 00:00:00, which is what I expect: Mon Feb 01 00:00:00 -0700 2010 A similar error occurs using end_of_day, but the hour is always 11 PM and the minute is the same integer value that matches the month in integers, i.e the time is 11:06 PM in June, 11:02 PM in February. Qurky? Admittedly a noob to Rails. Thanks for any comments or explanations.

  We have had the unenviable happen: various master documents refer to sub-documents that are no longer where they used to be due to a directory renaming. Is there a programmatic way of tweaking the HYPERLINK field without losing the master/sub-document relationship? I've got this far ... • Can I use the CSS :visited pseudo class on 'wildcard' links?

  Let's say I have a site with multiple links as follows: www.example.com/product/1 www.example.com/product/2 www.example.com/product/3 I also append tracking info to links from time to time so that I can see how my site is being used, e.g, if somebody visits the products page from the product browser I would set a ref parameter: www.example.com/product/1&ref=pb www.example.com/product/2&ref=pb www.example.com/product/3&ref=pb The problem with this is that if the user visits a link of the first type and then views a link of the second type then the :visited pseudo class doesn't seem to apply because the browser only seems to match on exact URLs. Is there any way to have "wildcards" apply to links in this sense, so that when the user sees either the first type or the second type of link that it is highlighted? Note: I cannot change this "ref" architecture; it is inherited.

• How should I compensate for a bad WSDL?

  I've come across several examples of SOAP-based web services where automated tooling fails to build a client that works. Investigating these examples leads me to believe that the WSDL the service uses to describe itself doesn't quite match the service that's being provided. Maybe a wrong type somewhere, a different data structure - something. I'm unsure what the most appropriate response is - if we assume that the obvious one (get the provider to fix their stuff) isn't available. Some options I can think of: Make a fixed WSDL? Hack the generated code? Any other options? No good options? What good experiences have people had? What works in a real environment? Thanks

• DataSetProvider - DataSet to ClientDataSet

  I am trying to take data from a TMSQuery which is connected to my DB and populate a ClientDataSet with some of that data using a DataSetProvider. My problem is that I will need to modify some of this data before it can go into my ClientDataSet. The ClientDataSet has persistent fields that will not match up with the raw DB data. I can't even get a string from the DB into a memo field in ClientDataSet. The ClientDataSet is a part of my data tier so I will need to conform the data from the DB to the ClientDataSet field by field (well most will be able to go right through, but many will require routing and/or conversion). Does anyone have experience with this?

  Given a set of databases how can one you get information on a book with given price first (which consist of the average of a hidden list of prices coming from different web site) and followed by an optional second option that shows the list of the different web site with their page? To take an example given a query for ISBN 9785554443331 - it returns "Chemistry the central science 11 edition" : new:$50 used good condition:$35 used poor condition:$20 If the return does not match with our product list an option to "click here to visit our partner" appears and which returns: Atextbook: $10 Btextbook: $10 Ctextbook: $9 Dtextbook: $8.50 I understand that the first search would be done simultaneous on the web and our database to determine whether or not we have the book and the web to get the average of the price of a given list of web site. • Regex to validate SMTP Responses?

  I'm writing a regular expression that can interactively validate SMTP responses codes, once the SMTP dialog is completed it should pass the following regex (some parentheses added for better readability): ^(220)(250){3,}(354)(250)(221)$ Or with(out) authentication: ^(220)(250)((334){2}(235))?(250){2,}(354)(250)(221)$ I'm trying to do rewrite the above regexes so that I can interactively check if the dialog is going as expected, otherwise politely send a QUIT command and close the connection saving bandwidth and time, but I'm having a hard time writing an optimal regex. So far I've managed to come up with: ^(220(250(334(235(250(354(250(221)?)?)?){0,})?){0,2})?)?$ Which, besides only matching authenticated connections, has some bugs... For instance, it matches: 220250334235250354250221 220250334334235250354250221 I've also tried the following modification: ^(220(250)?)?((334(235)?){2})?(250(354(250(221)?)?)?){0,}$ This one accepts non-authenticated responses but it fails to match 220250334 and wrongly matches 220250334334235250354250221 (at least 2 250 are needed before the 354 response code). Can someone help me out with this? Thanks in advance.

  I have been looking around a bit for info on how to do this. Essentially I have a Model: class SharableUserAsset(db.Model): name = StringProperty() users = ListProperty(users.User) My questions are: What is the best way to associate users to this value where they are not authenticated, visa vi invite from contacts list etc.? Is there a reasonable way to present a list control easily in a djangoforms.ModelForm? Once a user logs in I want to be able to check if that user is in the list for any number of SharableUserAsset class "records", how do I do that? Does user evaluate as a match to an email address or is there a way to look up a valid user against an email address?

• J2ME TextField Exception

  When I instantiate a textField, I have a number in it that I want to be the default text. The problem is, I can't seem to be able to place that value into the textfield without getting an error. The strange thing about it is that the same TextField is what I use to set the value of the variable containing the number. TextField myTF = new TextField("Number", value, 10, TextField.NUMERIC); When I run this code, I receive an exception stating that value doesn't match the constraints of TextField.NUMERIC. However, when I check the vale of the value of the variable, I get the following output: value = 1234567890 value.length() = 10 The value is set by the same TextField, saved to the phone that I am working on, and when loaded from the phone's settings, throws an exception.

• Returning partial address matches and mismatch position using L2S or SQL

  I need to implement a method that takes an address split up into individual parts and returns any matching items from an address table. If no matches are found, I want to be able to return a value indicating where it failed. Each input param has a corresponding field in the table. • Need to devise a number crunching algorithm

  I stumbled upon this question: 7 power 7 is 823543. Which higher power of 7 ends with 823543 ? How should I go about it ? The one I came up with is very slow, it keeps on multiplying by 7 and checks last 6 digits of the result for a match. I tried with Lou's code: int x=1; for (int i=3;i<=100000000;i=i+4){ x=(x*7)%1000000; System.out.println("i="+ i+" x= "+x); if (x==823543){ System.out.println("Ans "+i);} } And CPU sounds like a pressure cooker but couldn't get the answer :(

Tml.Runtime.Seq as s -> s.ToExpression() | _ -> failwith "bad expression" If I omit the type coercions on the return values F# will infer the return type of the function to ConstantExpression. My first thought was to explicitly mark the return type as being : #Expression, but that didn't work. Is there a more elegant way of doing this that doesn't involve manually casting return types to the most generic type? Thanks.

• Using the stadard Java logging, is it possible to restart logs after a certain period?

  I have some java code that will be running as an importer for data for a much larger project. The initial logging code was done with the java.util.logging classes, so I'd like to keep it if possible, but it seems to be a little inadequate now given he amount of data passing through the importer. Often times in the system, the importer will get data that the main system doesn't have information for or doesn't match the system's data so it is ignored but a message is written to the log about what information was dropped and why it wasn't imported. The problem is that this tends to grow in size very quickly, so we'd like to be able to start a fresh log daily or weekly. Does anybody have an idea if this can be done in the logging classes or would I have to switch to log4j or custom? Thanks for any help!

  Hi all. A while back I had to come up with a way to clean up all indexes and user-created statistics from some tables in a SQL Server 2005 database. After a few attempts it worked, but now I gotta have it working in SQL Server 2000 databases as well. For SQL Server 2005, I used SELECT Name FROM sys.stats WHERE object_id = object_id(@tableName) AND auto_created = 0 to fetch Statistics that were user-created. However, SQL 2000 doesn't have a sys.stats table. I managed to fetch the indexes and statistics in a distinguishable way from the sysindexes table, but I just couldn't figure out what the sys.stats.auto_created match is for SQL 2000. Any pointers? BTW: T-SQL please.

• Numerical Pattern Matching

  A project I'm researching requires some numerical pattern matching. My searches haven't turned up many relevant hits since most results tend to be around text pattern matching. The idea is we'll have certain wave patterns we'll need to be watching for and trying to match incoming data vs the wave database we will be building. Here is and example of one of the wave patterns we'll need to be matching against. There is clearly a pattern there, but the peaks will not have the exact same values, but the overall shape of the wave iterations will be very similar. Does anyone have any advice on how to go about storing and later matching these patterns, and / or other search terms I can use to find more information on the subject of pattern matching?   How should I store an Java Enum in JavaDB? Should I try to map the enums to SMALLINT and keep the values in source code only? The embedded database is only used by a single application. Or should I just store the values as DECIMAL? None of these solutions feels good/robust for me. Is there any better alternatives?
