  • MS Build Server 2010 - Buffer Overflow

    Hey everybody, I try to build an solution in MS Build Server (MS Visual Studio 2010 ver 10.0.30319.1) about ServerTasks - Builds - Server Task Builder - Queue new Built and go, 47 seconds later I get an error output: CSC: Unexpected error creating debug information file 'c:\Builds\1\ServerTasks\Server-Tasks Builder\Sources\ThirdParty\Sources\samus-mongodb-csharp-2b8934f\MongoDB.Linq\obj\Debug\MongoDB.Linq.PDB' -- 'c:\Builds\1\ServerTasks\Server-Tasks Builder\Sources\ThirdParty\Sources\samus-mongodb-csharp-2b8934f\MongoDB.Linq\obj\Debug\MongoDB.Linq.pdb: Access denied I checked the permissions of directory and set it (for debug purposes only) to grant access for all users, but still having an issue.     Hello I'm looking for a program to windows 7 that will work as a printer but it will save it to a file. Microsoft Word - Printer - Save it to "hello.pdf" on the desktop. I working on a application that will use a printer, but i don't have any printer to test with. And save to .xps files do not work, because u need to write a filename. Hope that you understand!     I'm looking for a way to export a Word document as a PDF. I would like to do this without the use of a "software printer" (such as CutePDF, etc.) and stick to reference assemblies if at all possible. I'm using Microsoft Office Interop Assemblies to generate a Word Document which I save to a temporary directory. So its not necessary for this solution to interact directly with Microsoft Office, unless it needs to. Any help or feedback you might have would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

  • How can I build against Microsoft.Web.Administration (IIS 7.x) on a Windows 2003 build machine?

    Hi, I am writing a C# config app for (amongst other things) setting up websites. It's only required to support IIS 7.x (Windows 2008 / 2008 R2), and requiring the compatibility pack is a no-no, so I figured I'd just use the Microsoft.Web.Administration namespace. However, the only place I can find the assembly that contains this namespace (Microsoft.Web.Administration.dll) is from the IIS 7.x installation folder, and our main build machines are Windows 2003 and so cannot install IIS 7.x. One option is to mandate a 2008 build machine but we currently only have one so that's not ideal. We've already ruled out appcmd.exe. The other option is to make a package consisting of the dlls necessary to build against Microsoft.Web.Administration.dll. Has anyone tried that? Is there such a package already in existence, hidden somewhere on the MS download site? Thanks in advance.

  • .NET 3.5 SP1 prerequisite, MS giving the clients 4.0

    I have been using an MSI to install a WPF application using the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1. I have set up .NET 3.5 as a prerequisite in the MSI, and what has been happening for ages is that when the user does not have .NET 3.5 SP1, the MSI first has them download and install that before resuming the installation of my application. Since yesterday when MS released .NET 4.0, when users don't have .net 3.5 SP1, the MSI is directing them to install 4.0 instead. What happens though, is that after they finish installing 4.0, the MSI still detects that they don't have 3.5, and directs them to the 4.0 install site again. So the user has 4.0, but the MSI doesn't ever get to installing my application. What do I have to change in my application? This seems like an error with how MS is handling the prerequisites either on their server or in the MSI in VS 2008.

    Hey guys, How can I figure out which word is at the point where the user tapped on a UIWebView? I am able to detect the CGPoint for the tap (subclassing UIWindow like this), and I can actually get the DOM element on that point using javascript. But I know very little of javascript and DOM to figure out how can I actually get which word the user tapped on. Is that possible?   • Pressing tab to indent a list moves to the next table cell

    I have a list (e.g., a bulleted list) in Microsoft Word. This list is inside a table cell. When I press Tab to increase the indent, rather than increasing the indent, it moves the cursor to the next cell. When I try Ctrl+Tab, it just inserts a tab character without changing the indentation of the bullet (paragraph). How can I turn this off, so it does not go to the next cell but rather just indents the list?

    I'm using CL-Lex to implement a lexer (as input for CL-YACC) and my language has several keywords such as "let" and "in". However, while the lexer recognizes such keywords, it does too much. When it finds words such as "init", it returns the first token as IN, while it should return a "CONST" token for the "init" word. This is a simple version of the lexer: (define-string-lexer lexer (...) ("in" (return (values :in $@))) ("[a-z]([a-z]|[A-Z]|\_)" (return (values :const $@)))) How do I force the lexer to fully read the whole word until some whitespace appears?

  • What is the typical method to separate connected letters in a word using OCR

    I am very new to OCR and almost know nothing about the algorithms used to recognize words. I am just getting familiar to that. Could anybody please advise on the typical method used to recognize and separate individual characters in connected form (I mean in a word where all letters are linked together)? Forget about handwriting, supposing the letters are connected together using a known font, what is the best method to determine each individual character in a word? When characters are written separately there is no problem, but when they are joined together, we should know where every single character starts and ends in order to go to the next step and match them individually with a letter. Is there any known algorithm for that?

  • Clean install of IIS 6 on Windows Server 2003 ignoring 'web.config'?

    Hi, Any help with this would be really appreciated! As the title suggests, I'm running a brand new install of Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6 and I'm basically attempting to mirror a live web server onto a new internal development server, which runs the same setup. It's an ASP.NET site that relies heavily on URL rewriting (using Intelligencia). ASP.NET is set to run on v2.0.50727 on both servers. I've tried intentionally introduce syntax errors into the web.config and it just appears to be ignoring them completely, so given IIS 6 doesn't read the web.config, the rest of the site doesn't work at all (I get a 404 error, as a 'Default.aspx' doesn't exist since the web.config handles the default page rewriting). Having looked at the Application Mapping, '.config' files are set to use the default 'c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll' which exists. Is there anything else I may be missing? Thanks in advance.

  • how do i set up a load balanced Rails web server using mongrel, lighttpd and iis on windows 2003

    I understand that this is not the perfect environment for doing this but please stick with me and help if you can... The set up I want to achieve is to have my rails application running on a windows 2003 server, using a pack of mongrels with lighttpd acting as the load balancer and IIS in front of it all passing client requests to lighttpd. first of all i've followed these instructions: deploying to iis on windows And I've managed to get the application to run, BUT if the client clicks on a link button the app bombs out with a 500 server error. If I just run against one of the mongrel servers, the the app behaves ok, so I think its lightpd. Its almost as if the lighttpd gets confused with multiple GET requests (i.e. multiple clicks) and bombs out. Any help on why i'm getting 500 errors would be helpful, thanks.

    I need a table in Word 2007, which needs to be on every page of the document. It is actually not a table per se, but a frame with three columns. The problem is it cannot interfere with editing, so I'm trying to avoid just inserting a lot of tables, and for now am using a made up table, made of lines, which I've putted in header field over the entire page. Is there a better way to do it then this?

EDIT: words in a string are separated by spaces. looking for a regex solution some examples: "earth is earth" ,"earth", -- valid "earthearth", "eartheeearth", "earth earth mars" -- invalid

    Is there an easy way to automatically convert a bunch of MS Word documents to xslt stylesheets that can be displayed in the browser? What I have is a large collection of forms in Word format that have to be displayed in the browser, or sent to the user, with known fields populated from a data source, edited by a user and, finally, printed (including the original headers and footers). The data entered by the user will not need to be saved. I'm not sure if converting the documents to stylesheets is even feasible. Maybe someone has a better idea of how to achieve this? Installing Office on the server is not an option in my case.
