Elementary OS boots to a terminal (other OS) [on hold]

Im new to this site, please forgive me if I missed some posting protocol of some sort.
I am attempting to install Luna on my samsung s2 laptop (a8 amd radeon 7640g) and when I click on try luna, it just pulls up a terminal after the insignia (curvy E). When I install it, same issue. CTRL-ALT-f7 reveals this

That's it. I can't make heads or tails of it.
Please note that while I've been running linux for about a year, I'm still fairly new to all of this, so try to be detailed in your explanations and/or descriptions of what I need to do.
