  • Debian grub2 update removed Windows boot option.

    Since I updated grub to grub 2 I no longer get the option to boot to Windows (which is unfortunately sometimes necessary for proprietary MSIE browser plugins I need to use for work).   • Exchange 2010 Autodiscover/OAB update issue

    Mid way through migration from 2003 to 2010 and with a few test users on 2010 i've noticed that the OAB is not being downloaded to outlook clients. I've checked the URL's are configured, addded both our CAS servers to the web based distribution list for the OAB and assigned the OAB to 2 mailbox databases we use but when i use outlook 'Test E-Mail AutoConfiguration' test i still see that the autodiscover says "OAB URL: Public Folder" even though i've now deselected the option. I've ran Test-OutlookWebServices to which i was getting an OAB error about no URL in the autodiscovery but having just re-ran it now appears fine, yey the autoconfigure test still does not. Does anyone have any idea why i'm getting this discrepency?

I have written a rather bad wrapper class, but does anyone know of where to get a better one?   • Cannont Update control in WPF custom control

    I have created a custom control which holds a button in it. The button is styled, so as to hold a grid with two rows, an image in the first and a TextBlock in the second. I have written an Event Handler for the custom control. When the mouse enters the path of the object the MouseEnter event fires, where I try to change the TextBlock's FontSize and Foreground color, however the control does not update. In contrast, I have tried to modify an regular TextBlock's(not part a custom control and controltemplate) properties, and they update correctly, on the fly. What am I missing here?? Here is the code for the event handler: private void ThemeButton_MouseEnter(object sender, MouseEventArgs e) { InitializeProperties(); TextElement.FontSize = 16; TextElement.Text = "new text"; TextElement.Foreground = Brushes.Red; TextBlock element = MainWindow.FindChild<TextBlock>(MainWindow.StartWindow, "textField"); element.Text = "new text for regular textblock"; element.Foreground = Brushes.Red; } InitializeProperties is a methid that initializes TextElement(typeof TextBlock) and ImageElement(typeof Image) properties.     I have a problem with my form when I try to submit with ajax. I am using Malsup Form plugin for Jquery but also using tinyMCE editor. When I submit the form and check the $_POST array, there is no data from the textarea. I have tried to use the triggerSave() function but to no avail.   • Scheduled Task unable to create/update any files

    I have several tasks in Task Scheduler in Windows Server 2008 SP2 (32-bit) and they all successfully "do their work", except for creating or updating any files on Windows. All the tasks point to simple .cmd files that have the real work but beyond that there's no pattern: some call robocopy with the /LOG option, some call .exe files I wrote that manipulate XML files, some just do stuff with > redirection. With all of them, if I double-click the .cmd file myself, it works fine and the files are created or updated or whatever. If I run it from Task Scheduler (by the schedule or just clicking Run), the task always completes "successfully" but without any of the desired changes to files. I don't see any "unable to create file" errors in Event Viewer either. The tasks do all Run As a specific account, but I have logged in as that account and verified that it has permissions to do everything it needs to. Further details -- Task is set to Run whether user is logged in or not. Configured for: "Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008", there is no other Configured for option available.

  • PHP curl post to login to wordpress

    I am using php curl to login to wordpress behind-the-scenes as described here: Wordpress autologin using CURL or fsockopen in PHP However my script is not setting the cookies necessary to retain the wordpress session. Instead they are being sent back to my script and stored in cookies.txt. Both the curl script and the wordpress login are on the same server in different directories. Do I need to write another curl script to manually set the wordpress cookies? Is that possible?

    I have a dedicated server with Debian and ISPconfig on it And a domain example.it I did a error while setting the dns for the first time I've tried to set it to ns1.example.it IP.IP.IP.IP myDedicnumber.kimsufi.com IP.IP.IP.IP But it got stuck it shows "Current Status: on hold" its been 7days already. I've tried contacting ovh but they just told me to set my dns to something diffrent but I can't as this operation is blocking any changes to the DNS records. Is there anything that I could do accept bug OVH?

    Hello. I need to sync two PostgreSQL databases (some tables from development db to production db) sometimes. So I came up with this script: [...] pg_dump -a -F tar -t table1 -t table2 -U user1 dbname1 | \ pg_restore -a -U user2 -d dbname2 [...] The problem is that this works just for newly added rows. When I edit non-PK column I get constraint error and row isn't updated. For each dumped row I need to check if it exists in destination database (by PK) and if so delete it before INSERT/COPY.   • popViewControllerAnimated doesn't update info iPhone SDK

    When I try to pop a view controller, it doesnt update info for the previous view. Example: I have a cell that displays text in a label in View1. When you click on the cell it goes to View2 (for example) When I choose an option in View2, popViewControllerAnimated is used to go back to View1, however, I want the label to now be updated with the new option in View1. My dilemma is that when I pop View2, the label in View1 does not update. Any ideas?   • MySQL : table organisation for very large sets with high update frequency

    I'm facing a dilemma in the choice of my MySQL schema application. So before I start here is a picture extremely simplified of my database : Schema here : http://i43.tinypic.com/2wp5lxz.png In one sentence : for each customer, the application harvest text data and attached tags to each data collected. As approximation of the usage of each table, here is what I expect : customer : ~5000, shouldn't grow fast data : 5 millions per customer, could double or triple for big customers. tag : ~1000, quite fixed size data_tag : hundred of millions per customer easily. Each data can be tagged a lot. The harvesting process is permanent, that means that around every 15 minutes new data come and are tagged, that require a very constant index refreshing. A lot of my queries are a SELECT COUNT of DATA between specific DATES and tagged with a specific TAG on a specific CUSTOMER (very rarely it will involve several customers). Here is the situation, you can imagine with this kind of volume of data I'm facing a challenge in term of data organization and indexing. Again, it's a very minimalistic and simplified version of my structure. My question is, is it better: to stick with this model and to manage crazy index optimization ? (which involves potentially having billions of rows in the data_tag table) change the schema and use one data table and one data_tag table per customer ? (which involves having 5000 tables on my database) I'm running all of this on a MySQL 5.0 dedicated server (quad-core, 8Go of ram) replicated. I only use InnoDB, I also have another server that run Sphinx. So knowing all of this, I can't wait to hear your opinion about this. Thanks.

    I have been struggling with a problem in Rails for a couple of days and still could not find the solution. Could you help me with that? Problem: I have a search box that puts a :search_string entry in the params structure. I use a form_tag for that and it works fine. <% form_tag :controller=> 'items', :action => 'find' do %> <%= text_field_tag :search_string, params[:search_string] %> <% end %> The problem is when I want to add and update other params key-value (in another view), for instance :start_date, to filter the search_string result. What I want is to know the exact moment when this update finishes, so I can do something right there, the thing is that I created an indicator of the selected item, and when something moves, I need to update said indicator's position, that's the reason I need it exactly when the tree view updates. Let me know if you know a solution to this. Also, the code is not perfect (DestroyRoom and PersonLeave), but you get the idea. Thanks!

  • ESX 3.5 refuses to update

    I have a set of ESX 3.5 servers in 2 different datacenters. One is DR, one is production. They are on the same vlan and so I can access any of them on the private network from my vCenter server. Last month, as a learning experience (I hadn't dealt with ESX much before), I updated the DR server. Other than finding out that a couple of bundles had to be installed manually in order to get the rest to install from vCenter, it went off without a hitch. Now, I'm trying to do the same for our production servers and it is not working. I've googled around for the error I get during scan, and investigate loads of different solutions (editing the integrity file, checking DNS, etc) -- I did install the 2 bundles that had to be installed manually already -- but scan from vCenter is just not working. Side note: I did just scan the DR server again and that scan works fine so shouldn't be a problem with vCenter that has cropped up recently -- it has to be something else. The error I get is: Patch metadata for (servername) missing. Please download updates metadata first. Failed to scan (servername) for updates. I'm all out of ideas on how to make this work, so any help would be hugely appreciated.

  • Mongodb update: how to check if an update succeeds or fails?

    I think the title pretty much says it all. I'm working with Mongodb in PHP using the pecl driver. My updates are working great, but I'd like to build some error checking into my funciton(s). I've tried using lastError() in a pretty simple function: function system_db_update_object($query, $values, $database, $collection) { $connection = new Mongo(); $collection = $connection->$database->$collection; $connection->$database->resetError(); //Added for debugging $collection->update( $query, array('$set' => $values)); //$errorArray = $connection->$database->lastError(); var_dump($connection->$database->lastError());exit; // Var dump and /Exit/ } But pretty much regardless of what I try to update (whether it exists or not) I get these same basic results: array(4) { ["err"]=> NULL ["updatedExisting"]=> bool(true) ["n"]=> float(1) ["ok"]=> float(1) } Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
