• Spring MVC JSP Parameters

  I'm looking to turn off try blocks for a specific JSP page (though turning it off globally would be OK as well). From what I've gathered, it looks something like this: <jsp-param> <param-name>noTryBlocks</param-name> <param-value>true</param-value> </jsp-param> However, everywhere I see that sample it's for a weblogic.xml file. Does anybody know how I can set this JSP parameters for a Spring MVC application? web.xml? • Inject a EJB into a JSF converter with JEE6

  Hi, I have a stateless EJB that acceses my database. I need this bean in a JSF 2 converter to retreive an entity object from the String value parameter. I'm using JEE6 with Glassfish V3 @EJB annotation does not work and gets a NPE, because it's in the faces context and it has not access to the ejb context. My question is: Is it still possible to Inject this bean (With a @Resource or other annotation, a JNDI lookup,...), or do i need a workaround? • Different i18n in spring according to url

  I have a spring web application that is required to work as following the application will be accessed from two different URLs www.domain1.com and www.domain2.com and it is required that the two URLs looks like two different applications with different CSS and I18n. for the css part is done but I am stuck with the i18n part How to make spring load different i18n properties file according to the domain name? The solution that I thought in is to implement a filter that check the request URL and according to the URL it clears the message source bean and load the required i18n file but it does not looks good for the performance by the way I am using ReloadableResourceBundleMessageSource message source Another solution is to implement two different message sources. The problem with this solution is that from the source code I can manage the bean that I use but how can I tell the fmt:message tag which data source to use ? Thanks in advance and best regards

  I have a login page which will log a user into my webapp based on their facebook login details. I then create a session to remember who they are. What I want to know is, should I be creating and/or checking the facebook credential on every single page of my webapp, or should I simply use the session I create at the beginning to login? For example, once they have logged in, I would like to allow them to post a message onto their own facebook wall from my app. Should I check the login credentials before they can post by recreating the facebook object, or should I simply use the stored login details already in my session and use that to post to their facebook wall?

  I am using Spring HibernateTemplate and need to insert hundreds of records into a mysql database every second. Not sure what is the most performant way of doing it, but I am trying to see how the multi value mysql inserts do using hibernate. And I would like to create a button that retrives the brand selected in the mentioned selectOneMenu and display the records in the bean filtered by the selection (what I mean, is that if the user selected, aBrand in the selectOneMenu all models from abrand will be shown in a datatable.   Hi, because of legacy data which is not available in the database but some external files, I want to create a SQLAlchemy object which contains data read from the external files, but isn't written to the database if I execute session.flush() My code looks like this: try: return session.query(Phone).populate_existing().filter(Phone.mac == ident).one() except: return self.createMockPhoneFromLicenseFile(ident) def createMockPhoneFromLicenseFile(self, ident): # Some code to read necessary data from file deleted.... phone = Phone() phone.mac = foo phone.data = bar phone.state = "Read from legacy file" phone.purchaseOrderPosition = self.getLegacyOrder(ident) # SQLAlchemy magic doesn't seem to work here, probably because we don't insert the created # phone object into the database. So we set the id fields manually. phone.order_id = phone.purchaseOrderPosition.order_id phone.order_position_id = phone.purchaseOrderPosition.order_position_id return phone Everything works fine except that on a session.flush() executed later in the application SQLAlchemy tries to write the created Phone object to the database (which fortunatly doesn't succeed, because phone.state is longer than the data type allows), which breaks the function which issues the flush. • Effective Entity Update In Hibernate ?

  I've always wanted to know How can I update an entity effectively in hibernate just as by using SQL. For example : I have a product entity , has a field name createTime , when I use session.saveOrUpdate(product) ; I have to get this field from database and then set to product then update , actually whenever I use session.saveOrUpdate() , I updated ALL fileds , even if I just need update only one field. but most time the value object we passed to DAO layer can't contain all fileds information , like the createDate in Product , we seldom need to update this field. How to just update selected fields ? Of course I can use HQL , but that will separate save and update logic . It would be better If Hibernate has a method like this : session.updateOnlyNotNullFields(product); How can I do this in Hibernate ?

  The following code is not working correctly. I would like to take the following Java String from the bean String statusMsg = "Hello World! <br/><br/><h3>Test</h3>" And output it with the HTML tags not escaped. <s:property escapeHtml="false" value="bean.statusMsg" The result of this property Tag and String, is that the HTML tags are still being escaped, am I missing something? My goal is to eventually build a table of status data and output it on the page is this the wrong way to use the property tag? Thank you in advance for your help.

  Here's a snippet of my mvc-config.xml <bean class="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.InternalResourceViewResolver"> <property name="prefix" value="/WEB-INF/views/"/> <property name="suffix" value=".jsp"/> </bean> <mvc:view-controller path="/index" view-name="welcome"/> <mvc:view-controller path="/static/login" view-name="/static/login"/> <mvc:view-controller path="/login" view-name="/static/login"/> I have the welcome.jsp on /WEB-INF/view/ directory and login.jsp on /WEB-INF/view/static/. This work for '/index' and '/login' paths. But I'm getting 404 response for '/static/login' when invoked from the browser. I'm expecting that '/static/login/' and '/login' should behave the same. What could be wrong here? Would appreciate any help. Thanks!

I have this generic method for saving or updating objects ... protected void saveOrUpdate(Object obj) { final Session session = sessionFactory.getCurrentSession(); session.saveOrUpdate(obj); } You can assume that every argument, "obj," will have a member field that is marked with the "@Id" annotation. I would like to change the return type to return an Object that represents the persisted object in the database (meaning if "obj" didn't contain an id before, what is returned is the database object with a populated id. What is the fastest way to do this given my versioning and generic constraints?

• PHP read a cookie that is on another domain

  Hello, I have two domains. One domain contains the login script. It creates a cookie when logged in. Another domain have a URL shortener. So, on the 2nd domain that have the URL Shortener script have a file called session.php. Usually I was using $_COOKIE['sessionid'] to get the session id and match it using database. Each session starts at 0. ADD adds an amount, while SET sets it. I want a function to return the end value of a session, e.g. SELECT session_val(1); --returns 45 SELECT session_val(2); --returns 55 Is it possible to write such a function/query? I don't know how to do any iteration-like things with SQL, or if it's possible at all.

  ok i have another question ! (god! i have so many questions) i have an application and a user must log-in before he/she can access pages. now once the user logs in i keep the user details in a session variable (say Session["CurrentUser"]). now if a user tries to jump to a page directly i will check if the Session["CurrentUser"] has a value or not...if not then the user will be directed to the login page... my problem is that i have done this or rather say written this "Checking Code" on almost all the pages. what i want is this code to stay on a particular location and i will just access that method all the time on all the pages...now where should i write this method ?? thank you.

Which state mechanism can i use for this to retain. I have tried both Session and ViewState but ViewState can't use with AJAX rich appplications. Session will be clear after the user session. i can't afford both these difficulties. Does any other mechanism to keep the datatable through out the page.

• Pass form data from block to a page view in Drupal

  I am using the location module and views module for a postcode search, which works fine in a page display using views. However I want the user to be able to enter their postcode into a block on the homepage and clicking submit my module sends them to the page created in views and the postcode is set as a session S_SESSION['postcode'] before sending to this page, next I want the location page to load but using the session to display the locations automatically. Any ideas I am using hook_form_submit() and inside that declaring the $form_state as a session and then using $form_state['redirect'] to sent to the views page path.

  I'm dealing with a legacy Java application with a large, fairly messy codebase. There's a fairly standard 'User' object that gets stored in the HttpSession between requests, so the servlets do stuff like this at the top: HttpSession session = request.getSession(true); User user = (User)session.getAttribute("User"); The old user authentication layer (which I won't describe; suffice to say, it did not use a database) is being replaced with code mapped to the DB with Hibernate. So 'User' is now a Hibernate entity. My understanding of Hibernate object life cycles is a little fuzzy, but it seems like storing 'User' in the HttpSession now becomes a problem, because it will be retrieved in a different transaction during the next request. What is the right thing to be doing here? Can I just use the Hibernate Session object's update() method to reattach the User instance the next time around? Do I need to?
