    I'm trying to get the users current latitude and longitude with this viewDidLoad method.   • How to group and sum values in XSLT

    For each "agency" node I need to find the "stmt" elements that have the same key1, key2, key3 values and output just one "stmt" node with the "comm" and "prem" values summed together. For any "stmt" elements within that "agency" that don't match any other "stmt" elements based on key1, key2 and key3 I need to output them as is. So after transformation the first "agency" node would only have two "stmt" nodes (one summed) and the second "agency" node would be passed as is because the keys don't match. XSLT 1.0 or 2.0 solutions are ok...though my stylesheet is currently 1.0.     I currently have a database structure with two important tables. 1) Food Types (Fruit, Vegetables, Meat) 2) Specific Foods (Apple, Oranges, Carrots, Lettuce, Steak, Pork) I am currently trying to build a SQL statement such that I can have the following. Fruit < Apple, Orange Vegetables < Carrots, Lettuce Meat < Steak, Port I have tried using a statement like the following Select * From Food_Type join (Select * From Foods) as Foods on Food_Type.Type_ID = Foods.Type_ID but this returns every Specific Food, while I only want the first 2 per category. So I basically need my subquery to have a limit statement in it so that it finds only the first 2 per category. However if I simply do the following Select * From Food_Type join (Select * From Foods LIMIT 2) as Foods on Food_Type.Type_ID = Foods.Type_ID My statement only returns 2 results total.

  • Rails: Multi-Step New User Signup Form (FSM?)

    I've read the "Create Multi-Step Wizard" in Advanced Rails Recipes. I've also read and re-read the documentation for the updated FSM I'm using called Workflow, and looked here and here. The Advanced Rails Recipe focuses on records (quizzes) that already exist, and doesn't cover creating new ones. The Workflow docs don't cover any code for controllers or views, so I've no idea what to do with all this model magic, and the last two links barely touch on implementation either. From the aforementioned resources, I have a good understanding of what a FSM in Rails is and how to play with it in the console or IRB, but I've got very little direction or understanding how to implement one into my Rails app. What I would like is this: a simple, multi-step user signup process. Step 1: User enters in their critical details (with validations). Step 2: User enters in their search criteria, for their profile (with validations). Step 3: User agrees to the Terms of Service (with validations). Step 4: User is greeted by a confirmation page, including a link that takes them to their newly created account. I'd also like full navigation between the steps and full capture (saves to the database) with each transition. Can someone please give me a clear implementation of something similar to this? I would LOVE an example app that includes a multi-step signup process where I can look at the code (FULL source code--models AND controllers and views) under the hood, but I've been unable to find anything like that.     I recently asked this question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2519183/ms-sql-share-identity-seed-amongst-tables (Many people wondered why) I have the following layout of a table: Table: Stars starId bigint categoryId bigint starname varchar(200) But my problem is that I have millions and millions of rows. So when I want to delete stars from the table Stars it is too intense on SQL Server. I cannot use built in partitioning for 2005+ because I do not have an enterprise license. When I do delete though, I always delete a whole category Id at a time. I thought of doing a design like this: Table: Star_1 starId bigint CategoryId bigint constaint rock=1 starname varchar(200) Table: Star_2 starId bigint CategoryId bigint constaint rock=2 starname varchar(200) In this way I can delete a whole category and hence millions of rows in O(1) by doing a simple drop table. My question is, is it a problem to have hundreds of thousands of tables in your SQL Server? The drop in O(1) is extremely desirable to me. Maybe there's a completely different solution I'm not thinking of?

I have aggregated and summed the data from many tables to get two tables that look like the following. id | code | value id | code | value 13 | AA | 0.5 13 | AC | 2.0 13 | AB | 1.0 14 | AB | 1.5 14 | AA | 2.0 13 | AA | 0.5 15 | AB | 0.5 15 | AB | 3.0 15 | AD | 1.5 15 | AA | 1.0 I need to get a list of id's, with the code (sumed from both tables) with the largest value. 13 | AC 14 | AA 15 | AB There are 4-6 thousand records and it is not possible to change the original tables. I'm not too worried about performance as I only need to run it a few times a year.

It works if I replace a single group at a time. But, I'd like to know if it possible to replace all possible matching groups with a single statement. Tried preg_match_all($pattern, $snippet, $matches); to show matches based on the above pattern, but no matches are found if I put all 3 groups together.

    Hi, My friend's website was working fine until he moved the document root from /var/www/xxx to /home/user/xxx Apache give 13 permission denied error messages when we try to access the site via a web browser. The site is configured as a virtual directory. All the Apache configurations were unchanged (except for the directory change). We tried to chmod 777 /home/user/xxx, chown apache /home/user/xxx. But they didn't work. Is there some kind of security feature set on the user's home directories? The server OS is CentOS (Godaddy VPS). Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

    Hi, I've a database who contain some datas in that form: icon(name, size, tag) (myicon.png, 16, 'twitter') (myicon.png, 32, 'twitter') (myicon.png, 128, 'twitter') (myicon.png, 256, 'twitter') (anothericon.png, 32, 'facebook') (anothericon.png, 128, 'facebook') (anothericon.png, 256, 'facebook') So as you see it, the name field is not uniq I can have multiple icons with the same name and they are separated with the size field. Now in PHP I have a query that get ONE icon set, for example : mysql_query("SELECT * FROM icon WHERE tag='".$tag."' ORDER BY size LIMIT 0, 10"); With this example if $tag contain 'twitter' it will show ONLY the first SQL data entry with the tag 'twitter', so it will be : (myicon.png, 16, 'twitter') This is what I want, but I would prefer the '128' size by default. Is this possible to tell SQL to send me only the 128 size when existing and if not another size ? Thanks !

  • User created Validator wont call Client side validation Javascript on 'complex' user control.

    Hi All, I have created a user control (from System.Web.UI.UserControl), and created my own validator for the user control (from System.Web.UI.WebControls.BaseValidator). Everything works ok until I try to get the user control to do client side validation. While trying to debug this issue I have set 'Control to Validate' to a text box instead of the custom user control, and the client side script works fine! It appears to me that it has an a issue with my composite user control I have created. Has anyone encountered this issue before? Has anyone else seen client side validation fail on custom user controls? Some extra info : The composite control is a drop down list and 'loader image', as it is a ajax enabled drop down list (using ICallbackEventHandler).   • Replication - User defined table type not propogating to subscriber

    I created a User defined table type named tvp_Shipment with two columns (id and name) . generated a snapshot and the User defined table type was properly propogated to all the subscribers. I was using this tvp in a stored procedure and everything worked fine. Then I wanted to add one more column created_date to this table valued parameter.I dropped the stored procedure (from replication too) and also i dropped and recreated the User defined table type with 3 columns and then recreated the stored procedure and enabled it for publication When i generate a new snapshot, the changes in user defined table type are not propogated to the subscriber. The newly added column was not added to the subscription. the Error messages: The schema script 'usp_InsertAirSa95c0e23_218.sch' could not be propagated to the subscriber. They also implement an IPersistable interface, which allows the container .aspx page to issue a Save command to its children without knowledge of the number or exact nature of these user controls.     I have a web app that I would like to have the following functionality: user gives a url webapp gets json data from that url and others from same website (this can take anywhere from 1-10 seconds) webapp uses data to generate page for user With this approach, I believe that if the server is in the process of getting the data for one user, then the other user won't be able to load the page (server busy). I would like to avoid this if possible. It seems like the Google Tasks API would be useful for this, but I don't see how I can run the task, and then use the output of the task to generate the page (how would the main app know when the task was finished?) What is the best way to resolve this? Thanks in advance

I need something like Thread.CurrentPrincipal in .NET Is it safe to put reference to current user in User model? I'm sorry I don't really understand how it works under the hood yet.     I'm trying to make a page using data from the discogs.com (XML)-API. i've been parsing it with simpleXML and it's working pretty well but there is some things i'm not sure how to do. The M.O.F Blend in my link) This is done on discogs with having a master release that features the other releases. unfortunately this information isn't present in the API data, so i want to do the same thing by grouping the <release>-nodes with the same <title>-tags, or add a flag to the <releases> that don't have a unique <title>? any good ideas on the best way of doing this? i also like to know if it's possible to count the <release>-nodes (child of releases) that have the same type-attribute? like in this example count the releases with the type "Main"? maybe it's better to do this things with XMLReader or XPath?

  • Logging into oracle db as a global user

    We are trying to shape up an old, 2 tier, Delphi based application. It originally uses database authentication, we'd like to transform the db user accounts to global users, so an OID server could perform the authentication instead of the database. The Delphi program can no longer log into the database if the account is a global user. I'm trying to understand the login protocol, so far without results. Similar thing happens with SQLDeveloper, I can't connect as a global user. SQLPlus however works with both kinds of users. We checked the information flow with Wireshark. When the dbserver asks back for a password, the SQLPlus sends it, while the SQLDeveloper doesn't send a password when attempting to connect as a global user. The client sends the application name too in the login request. Is it possible that we have to store the client app name in the LDAP itself?
