  • php cli server domain

    Hi, I'm running a CLI PHP script. I'm requesting data from a server that only lets me in if my domain is www.mydomain.com. It runs fine when I run through Apache, but when I run through CLI I presume my domain has now changed to the server IP, i.e. 84.123.123.123 The external server obviously rejects me now. How can I request as if I'm www.mydomain.com using the CLI?

    Long winded title, short question: If one wants to develop for Windows but not have to rely on any external dependency (no runtime, thus ruling out .net), what supported, alive and fully functioning* alternatives are there? Visual Basic 6 is dead, Visual C++ is obvious and Delphi seems to be the prime choice for that, but I wonder if there are any other alternatives? *as in: Being able to use all the Windows Features like putting an icon in the Notification Area, making the Taskbar Icon flash etc.

  • how to merge stripped symbols with binary?

    I compiled the Qt Framework with debugging enabled, but the script stripped the debugging symbols from the libraries and saved them as *.debug files -- just like here. Sadly I need these symbols inside the .so files, so I can continue working with them. There seems no way to teach my debugger to load external (non-PDB) symbols. So another way of solving my problem might be converting the .debug files to PDB format, which might also be a problem. Thank you very much!

    I'm having difficulty getting XQuery to work. I downloaded Saxon-HE 9.2. It seems to only want to work with XSLT. When I type: java -jar saxon9he.jar I get back usage information for XSLT. When I use the command syntax for XQuery, it doesn't recognize the parameters (like -q), and gives XSLT usage information. So the testing program would have the duty of writing, running and reporting tests with minimal intervention?

    This is going to sound crazy but does anyone have techniques that would allow me to parse boolean logic strings in Sql Server 2005 without extraordinary/rediculous effort? Here is an example: (SOMEVAR=4 OR SOMEVAR=5) AND (NOT OTHERVAR=Y) I feel like recursion would help a lot if that were possible in Sql but I'm not really sure how to go about that sort of thing. I am writing a web service asynchronously and I want to be able to run some tests to see if the asynchronous pattern is really going to make it more scalable. In order to "mock" an external service that is slow, I want to be able to call a SQL server with a script that runs slowly, but isn't actually processing a ton of stuff.

    Hi, I am using OpenFileDialog. But using it changes the Environment.CurrentDirectory. Using the RestoreDirectory property solves this issue, but I'm using external dlls that I can't control that don't use RestoreDirectory. Is there a way to make it true as default? Or is there any other solution to this annoying problem? Thanks.
