  • Android SDK and AVD Manager installation

    I am new to android development. Have tried a couple times downloading the Android SDK and ADT plugin for Eclipse In the Android SDK and AVD manager load fine but will not load any available packages. Show: - Android Repository --"Some packages were found but are not compatible updates" In the installed it shows 1.5 to 2.3 SDK platforms. How to I get them available. Appreciate help. Thanks, Alex

  • basic javascript DOJO 1.4 installation not working

    I am trying to give the DOJO framework a test spin but some how the latest release does not work at all ( 1.4.2) I keep getting a "console[_8]" [undefined] is not an object error. this is on the demos as well 1.3.3 works fine it seems ( or at least i dont get that error so far) any ideas? I have been using jquery for a while and love it , just looking for something better i guess. does anyone recommend DOJO? thanks

  • HTML 5 Video Error Media Src Not Supported

    So I was working on a toy website (http://nirmalpatel.com/yeah/index.html). If you check the source, you can see that I have linked a m4v and ogg version. When I load this page from my own computer using a url that starts with file:// the page works fine in Safari, Chrome and Firefox. However, after I upload all of the videos and the HTML to my server Firefox stops working. I don't think it's a permissions issue as both videos have the same permission.

  • Flash Media Server dynamic file naming

    I'm trying to figure out most efficient/safe way to name recorded streams on FMS. The case is to get listing of recorded streams from the server (eg. rec_001, rec_002...) and dynamically add rec_003 filename to the new stream that is being recorded. I'm thinking about either using FMS File Object and put everything in array of files every time I start recording procedure or to create XML file that would serve as a database of file names. I'm searching for a solution efficient for MULTIPLE connections at a time and large amount of files. Which one of presented would be the best for this purpose? Or do you have any better suggestions of solving this problem?

  • Can't access media assets in an SWC

    I'm having trouble accessing content in an SWC. The main project compiles without error, but the assets (sound, music) aren't displayed or played. My workflow: i. Using Flash CS5 1. Create MAsset.fla 2. Import sounds, art 3. Assign class names, check export in frame 1 4a. Write out the classes in the actions panel in frame 1 4b. OR. Add a document class and write out the classes there 5. Export SWC. Filesize is similar to what it is when I directly import assets in the main project library. 6. Create Project.fla and document class Project.as 7. Import SWC into main project through the Actionscript panel. 8. Add code, which calls the class names from the SWC (e.g. DCL_UI_MOUSE) 9. Compile. No compiler errors, but nothing doing. And the resulting SWF filesize doesn't reflect anything more than the compiled code from the main project. Regarding step 4, if I just write the class name in the root timeline or document class, the compiler error will go away and the asset appear to be compiled in the SWC. But I have also tried: var asset0000:DCL_UI_MOUSE; And: var asset0000:DCL_UI_MOUSE = new DCL_UI_MOUSE(); Regardless the assets don't make it into the final SWF. What am I doing wrong?

    Hi guys, I am trying to install PEAR in my WAMP-server. The go-pear.bat is running as intended, but when it comes to changing the directories, it all goes wrong. I have followed this guide: http://phphints.wordpress.com/2008/08/26/installing-pear-package-manager-on-wamp/ The 9th line of configuration, Public Web Files directory, will not change upon command and instead says Input file error, no file extension in C:\documents I am running XP SP3. Is there anyone else who had experienced this slight issue? Thanks!

Even though the installation process has been described a number of times, but still I haven't found the information to solve the problem.     Hi All I have just got a new company mobile and would like to begin developing apps for the HTC HD2 Mobile Phone. However, when I downloaded Microsoft Windows Phone Developer Tools, it pretty much said right at the end of installation that "Setup could not install correctly", and I clicked on "more", and it said "Silverlight 4.0 could not install correctly". So, the fact that Windows Phone Dev Tools couldn't install completely was because of this Silverlight 4 that couldn't install! Has anyone had the same problems, if so, how did you resolve this issue (if you did)? And... Is there another way to develop applications for mobile phones running the Windows Operating System other than XNA and Windows Dev Tools? Even better... Could it be done simply using the current Visual Studio Express Edition I already have? Thanks All

    I am trying to install my own version of Nodester. I have tried on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and now with CentOS. I am not the most skilled Linux user (~2 months use) so I am at a loss at this point. The instructions are located at https://github.com/nodester/nodester/wiki/Install-nodester#wiki-a.     I can not set my oracle home name "OraHome92". Everytime I do it the destination path is changed to "E:\oracle\ora92" but I am instructed to install "D:\oracle\ora92". How can I sove this problem? FYI Facing this problem I installed the oracle with the home name OraHome9. And installl was successful. But after that when started to upgrde to Oracle 9i (9.2.0.6), it was unsuccessful. Waiting for your reply

NTFS is inconsistent. Run chkdsk /f on Windows then reboot it TWICE! The usage of the /f parameter is very IMPORTANT! No modification was and will be made to NTFS by this software until it gets repaired. I don't have windows installed, how can I run chkdsk /f from ubuntu?

  • Black screen with thinkpad edge e525, AMD radeon HD before and after installation, plymouth?

    I have a new thinkpad edge e525 (which should work) and wanted to try ubuntu (first linux experience). With the ubuntu desktop-cd I had a blackscreen before installation, I could fix that with nomodeset. After the installation, when rebooting I got the black screen again. First I see some ubuntu colour with a green busted stripe. I have the same problem with the live boot, also tried mint live, the stripe gets pink. I installed xubuntu 64bit from an alternate cd and I didnt have problems until de reboot after the installation. Same problem, just a black screen with the green stripe than blackscreen. I tried several things: adding nomodeset to the bootmenu, but than I get: No connection to plymouth and it is stuck at checking the battery status. I tried to replace quiet splash with text. Didnt work either. actually one time I saw a blue booting image before that. I managed to get a root command though via the recovery boot. I didnt dare to just remove the plymouth package. Can I just delete plymouth or do I have to deinstall it as described in several ways. (Problem is, right now the notebook doesnt have a internet connection. And I dont know how to manage it with a usb stick?) Or do I have to install the AMD catalyst driver manually? (Again, how can I do that with an usb stick) I also tried this: Ubuntu hits a black screen after boot. Is there any solution without internet? And if I need internet which is the right one? Please explain step by step what I have to write and so on! Thank you! also tried: set gfxpayload=text and: just remove splash and adding vesafb.nonsense=1 to the grub editor, because I couldnt find it anywhere

Here ms is for administrative tasks and abc for my friends. When I mount any drive under "abc" user, I cannot access it under my other user "ms". Same as in the case with "ms" user. I found possible reason behind the issue. When I mount any drive under "abc" user, Ubuntu will try to mount it under "/media/abc/volume_name" instead of "/media/volume_name" . Is there any way to fix this without modifying the underlying file-system structure?

  • How to repair ubuntu or restore my windows 7 installation? Nothing helps

    i had windows 7 installed and I installed ubuntu alongside it. Booted ubuntu and explore it for a while. Turned pc off and went to bed. Next morning wanted to boot into windows but no luck... MBR error... Tried to repair windows using installation disk but it doesn't recognize win installation. Tried console bootrec /fixmbr bootrec /fixboot but still same. So I went back to ubuntu and tried with boot-repair, but got a write error. Restarted pc and now I cannot boot to either ubuntu or windows... Tried to recover NTFS partition with hiren's boot but it cannot find partition. Tried every solution there is on the web but no help... Is there any way to fix it because windows installation is very important to me?! btw, i noticed that grub indicates windows 7 to a sdb2 partition that doesn't exists... And when I RUN ubuntu from CD and browse disk, I dont see any files from windows 7. Is that normal or? http://paste.ubuntu.com/6338340/ PLEASE HELP...

  • Is there a media player that works on HTTPS sites?

    I'm currently using Yahoo! Media Player for a site that needs to play MP3 files that are stored on our server. In total, there's quite a bit more than the free limits at Soundcloud, but each file is only a few minutes long. YMP is pretty good, but causes security warnings on HTTPS pages, because it can only be served via HTTP. Is there an equivalent free player I can embed for the HTTPS pages? EDIT: Just to clarify, I'm initially looking for something that will scan the page and turn media links playable.
