• start page with questions about interested tags?

  I'm new to stackoverflow and I'm looking for a question list, like the one on top, which just contains questions about interested tags. For example I'm interested in Java, but I have no clue about Python and questions about python clutters my questions page. I don't have answers concerning any python problem. I think it's too exhausting to enter my interested tags in the search combined with [xxx] OR. Is there a usable way to do this? By the way, what for are interested tags used right now? I added some in my profile but didn't see a benefit.

• IE7 Times Out Debugging ASP.Net Page

  My issue is similar to ASP.NET Debugging Timing out with IIS except that I'm using the built-in ASP.Net Development Server with VS 2010. If I pause for more than about 10 seconds in the debugger, IE7 "disconnects" from the web server with the error message Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage However, unlike in the similar question, the debugger is still running. If I refresh the browser it will post that refresh to the server and I can debug the page from the top again. Is it possible to configure things so that IE7 waits (much) longer before giving up? If it makes a difference, I'm launching IE using the "Start external program" option and passing a localhost URL as the command line argument (since Chrome is my default browser). I also specify a specific port.

I have a control which creates checkbox list (inside div_A) on load and get checkbox checked through database, then i click Continue, div_A get invisible with all the checked checkbox id in hidden field and div_B is visible true.   I am calling one android application from java script using following code: window.location.href="android3://com.android.application3"; In androidManifest file of Application I use intent filter as follow <data android:scheme="android3" android:host="com.android.application3"/> If the application is already installed then it is running well, but if it not installed then it is showing error that page android3://com.android.application3 is not found. I want to catch that error and want to show error message. How I can check that the application is not instilled on mobile??

• Halting Django's dev server via page request?

  I'm looking at writing a portable, light-weight Python app. As the "GUI toolkit" I'm most familiar with — by a wide margin! — is HTML/CSS/JS, I thought to use Django as a framework for the project, using its built-in "development server" (manage.py runserver). I've been banging on a proof-of-concept for a couple hours and the only real problem I've encountered so far is shutting down the server once the user has finished using the app. Ideally, I'd like there to be a link on the app's pages which shuts down the server and closes the page, but nothing I see in the Django docs suggests this is possible. Can this be done? For that matter, is this a reasonable approach for writing a small, portable GUI tool?

  Hello to all. I need to implement parent page redirection from iframe. I know that it is impossible to do in different domains due to browsers security. However I found that links have target attribute and tried to use it in the following way: <a href="http://google.com" target="_top" id="testParentRedirect">someLink</a> It works fine if I click this link manually, but I couldn't find cross-browser solution to simulate it using javascript. document.getElementById('testParentRedirect').click(); This works fine in IE, however Firefox and Safary don't know click function :). I tried to work with jquery, but for some reason they don't simulate click event for links. (see following post) I couldn't find any appropriate solution on stackoverflow. Maybe someone could help me in it. I will appreciate it. :)

• Web page with embedded .NET control in IBM WebSphere 6.1

  Hello, I have very simple web page with embedded .NET control in it via the <object> tag. The problem is that when I deploy it to an IIS server it works fine (the .NET control is shown). The same is for the Apache server. But when I deploy it to the WebSphere server I get the html but the .NET control does not appear. Probably it is some kind of a server configuration issue, but I cannot figure it out. I would appreciate any suggestions. Best regards!

  I am attempting to add functionality to my Django app: when a new post is approved, I want to update the corresponding Facebook Page's status with a message and a link to the post automatically. Basic status update. I have downloaded and installed pyfacebook - and I have read through the tutorial from Facebook. I've been looking, but can't find out how I can keep this all working with the script and not having to login via a web browser. Any ideas?

  I have an arbitrarily deep list of the form: <ul> <li></li> <li> <ul> <li></li> </ul> </li> </ul> I am trying to build a function "nextElement" that returns a jQuery selector. The first time the function is called, it returns the first li in the list. The second time it is called, it returns the next li in the page. Etc. I'd like this function to pay no attention to siblings, parents, children, etc. All I care about is that everytime it is called, the next li in the source gets chosen. Any suggestions on how to go about approaching this? Thanks

I have a problem in my asp.net 3.5 application (C#) when I try to render in my pages characters like 'è' which are shown in a very strange manner (if i'm lucky i get a ? mark in my web page). in fact Expression Web, when i open my web site, substitutes the è char with �... How can I tell asp.net that I want to use a particular charset so that i can write in the html source letters like è without using hexadecimal codes?????? I need my user control to be able to easily and efficiently work out if its inside another user control or an aspx page. My initial idea is to do it recursively with checks on the Parent property - continue looking up the nesting hierarchy until I find either a web form or a user control - but I'm not sure this the best way of going about this.   Hi, Regarding innodb, someone recently told me: "the varchar content beyond 768 bytes is stored in supplemental 16K pages" This is very interesting. If each varchar will be latin1, which I believe stores as 1byte per letter, would a single varchar(500) (<768 bytes) require an extra i/o as a varchar(1000) (768 bytes) would?? (this question is to find out if all varchars or just big varchars are split into a separate page) Is the 768 limit per varchar or for all varchars in the row added together? (for example, does this get optimized - varchar(300), varchar(300), varchar(300): [where each individual varchar column is below 768 but together they are above 768 characters]? I am confused about if the 768 limit relates to each individual varchar or all varchars in the row totaled (as in the question). Any clarification? EDIT: Removed part about CHARS due to finding out about their limit of 255 max.

I have javascript function in my aspx page that i call on the onclick event.but on one particular machine it always automatically called on body onload in infinite loop. Though I already remove all the caching and delte the history and temp files. This seems very strange to me .It works fine on all the machine excpt one. • Get a list of events owned by a facebook page

  Does anyone know how I can get a list of events owned (created) by a Facebook page? I seem to be able to use the "graph api" to generate a list of the events an entity is attending. I also looked at FQL, but it seems to require that the 'where' clause is an indexable field (and, naturally, the id is the only indexable field). For bonus points, we'd be able to do this without any authentication. (Though I'm resigned to the fact that I'm likely going to need at least a permanent access_token.) If anyone know how to do this I'd be eternally grateful.

• CSS not displayed depending on page

  I have a friend that has a really strange issue with my website. When he clicks on http://www.copeo.fr/ the page displays fine but when he clicks on a link like www.copeo.fr/user/ the CSS is not applied even after a refresh. The raw html does display. I asked him to display the CSS that is hosted on amazon S3 hcopeoressources.s3.amazonaws.com/style/futurvert/style.css and it displays fine. The code validates on W3C validator so does the CSS. I am lost what could be the origin of the issue. Could it be its enterprise cache? configuration of IE7 on his machine? If it happens to someone else who could explain the issue to me, I am all hears. Thanks
