She talks about installers now being standardized in Oracle for greater consistency -- no more WebLogic native installers. Also, JDK is no longer a part of the WebLogic install. The various installers she discusses include OUI, ZIP, OEPE, Coherence and more. Monica then takes us through a step by step install process. After the install process is complete the video takes us through the configuration wizard. The ZIP installer is then discussed and its effectiveness, such as it being the smallest downloadable option, easy, and very popular with our customers and limitations (such as for development only and not to be used in production) highlighted. Monica then takes us through the configuration wizard, its usage, and when to use WLST scripts. The video then discusses NodeManager and its usage and discusses how to reconfigure a WebLogic domain on upgrade – through our GUI tools or through command line interface. Lastly, it highlights Opatch – a patch application tool used by our customers and standardized across all Oracle products. Really detailed video. • Need help understanding WPF MeasureOverride and ArrangeOverride infinity and 0 sizes

    - by Scott Bilas
    I'm trying to build a simple panel that contains one child and will snap it to nearest grid sizes. I'm having a hard time figuring out how to do this by overriding MeasureOverride and ArrangeOverride. Here's what I'm after: I want my panel to tell its owner that (a) it wants to be as large as possible, then (b) when it finds out what that size is, it will size itself and its child UIElement according to the nearest smaller snap point. So if we're snapping to 10's, and I can be in a region no bigger than 192x184, the panel will tell its parent container "my actual size is going to be 190x180". That way anything bordering my control will be able to align to its edges, as opposed to the potential space. When I put my panel inside of a Grid, I get either 0 or PositiveInfinity (I forget) for the incoming size in the overrides, but what I need to know is "how big can my space actually get?" not infinities.. Part of the problem I think is what WPF considers magic values of PositiveInfinity and 0 for size. I need a way to say, via MeasureOverride "I can be as big as you will allow me" and in ArrangeOverride to actually size to the snapped size. Or am I going about this the completely wrong way? Measuring and arranging looks very complicated, just from wandering around a little in the code for the standard panels in Reflector.

  • Datapager in silverlight 4 -Nested datagrid visibility issue

    - by Archie
    I have a datagrid in silverlight with child datagrid nested in it. Also I have a DataPager on the outer datagrid. The code looks like this: <data:DataGrid x:Name="dgData" Width="600" ItemsSource="{Binding}" AutoGenerateColumns="False" IsReadOnly="True" HorizontalScrollBarVisibility="Hidden" CanUserSortColumns="False" RowDetailsVisibilityChanged="dgData_RowDetailsVisibilityChanged" Margin="20,0" Grid.RowSpan="2"> <data:DataGrid.Columns> <data:DataGridTextColumn Header="Item" Width="*" Binding="{Binding ItemName,Mode=TwoWay}"/> <data:DataGridTextColumn Header="Company" Width="*" Binding="{Binding Company,Mode=TwoWay}"/> </data:DataGrid.Columns> <data:DataGrid.RowDetailsTemplate> <DataTemplate> <data:DataGrid x:Name="dgRowDetail" Width="400" HorizontalScrollBarVisibility="Hidden" AutoGenerateColumns="False" Visibility="Collapsed"> <data:DataGrid.Columns> <data:DataGridTextColumn Header="Date" Width="*" Binding="{Binding Date,Mode=TwoWay}"/> <data:DataGridTextColumn Header="Price" Width="*" Binding="{Binding Price,Mode=TwoWay}"/> </data:DataGrid.Columns> </data:DataGrid> </DataTemplate> </data:DataGrid.RowDetailsTemplate> </data:DataGrid> <data:DataPager x:Name="dpData" HorizontalAlignment="Center" DisplayMode="FirstLastPreviousNextNumeric" Source="{Binding}"/> I have one PagedCollectionView pgv which is bound to outer datagrid as: DataContext = pgv; When the row is clicked I set the child datagrid's ItemsSource property to another PagedCollectionView. My problem is it works fine except for the first row for the first time. When I click on it, it doesn't fire the dgData_RowDetailsVisibilityChanged event. Also, when I click on second row, firstly first row fires the event and then the second row fires it and shows the nested grid. Please help.

  • Yii urlManager language in URL

    - by TaMeR
    I am trying to add a language to the url with following syntax: http://www.example.com/en/site/page/view/about What I have so far works with short urls like: http://www.example.com/en/site/contact but not with long once as in my first example Here is what I have so far: /config/main.php 'urlManager'=>array( 'class'=>'application.components.MyCUrlManager', 'urlFormat'=>'path', 'showScriptName'=>false, 'rules'=>array( '<language:\w+>/<controller:\w+>/<id:\d+>'=>'<controller>/view', '<language:\w+>/<controller:\w+>/<action:\w+>/<id:\d+>'=>'<controller>/<action>', '<language:\w+>/<controller:\w+>/<action:\w+>'=>'<controller>/<action>', ), ), <?php // components/MyCUrlManager.php class MyCUrlManager extends CUrlManager { public function createUrl($route,$params=array(),$ampersand='&') { if(isset($_POST['_lang'])){ Yii::app()->language = $_POST['_lang']; }elseif (!isset($route['language']) && $controller != 'srbac'){ $route['language']=Yii::app()->language; }else{ Yii::app()->language = $route['language']; } return parent::createUrl($route, $params, $ampersand); } } ?> class Controller extends CController: { /// ..... function init() { parent::init(); if (isset($_POST['_lang'])) { Yii::app()->setLanguage($_POST['_lang']); Yii::app()->session['_lang'] = Yii::app()->language; }elseif (isset(Yii::app()->session['_lang'])) { Yii::app()->setLanguage(Yii::app()->session['_lang']); } } } class LangBox extends CWidget { public function run() { $currentLang = Yii::app()->language; require_once 'Zend/Locale.php'; $locale = new Zend_Locale(); //$siteLanguages = $this->getLang(); $siteLanguages = array('en','de','tr'); foreach($siteLanguages as $value){ $list[$value] = $locale->getTranslation($value, 'Language', $value); } asort($list); $this->render('langBox', array('currentLang' => $currentLang, 'list'=>$list)); } }

  • Getting rid of scroll bar for position: absolute inside of position:relative inside of overflow:auto

    - by Marcos
    Hey guys, my first question here on stack overflow. Trying to get something pretty simple to work, I'm sure I'm missing something quite obvious. Still getting used to the "standard" css, too many years working with non-functional ones! Heh. So, sample of what I'm doing: <div style="overflow: auto; border: 1px solid"> hello <div style="position: relative; z-index: 99999; top: 0px; left: 0px;"> <div style="z-index: 99999; overflow-y: hidden; position: absolute; overflow: hidden; height: 200px; left: 0; auto: 0"> <ul> <li >New</li> <li >Old</li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> In essence: The first div is a container, that I would like to automatically overflow as content is added. Inside of that container, I have a popup menu, which I have simplified here. The popup menu appears (as it should) directly under "hello". My problem, however, is that instead of the popup menu "coming out" of the parent, as would be expected by the absolute position, it is actually causing a scrollbar to appear on the parent. I know that if I take otu the "position: relative" it works, but then it no longer appars where I want it (directly under the previous element). What am I missing here? EDIT: Sample here: http://marcos.metx.net/OverflowTest.htm

  • NSString variable out of scope in sub-class (iPhone/Obj-C)

    - by Rich
    I am following along with an example in a book with the code exactly as it is in the example code as well as from the book, and I'm getting an error at runtime. I'll try to describe the life cycle of this variable as good as I can. I have a controller class with a nested array that is populated with string literals (NSArray of NSArrays, the nested NSArrays initialized with arrayWithObjects: where the objects are all string literals - @"some string"). I access these strings with a helper method added via a category on NSArray (to pull strings out of a nested array). My controller gets a reference to this string and assigns it to a NSString property on a child controller using dot notation. The code looks like this (nestedObjectAtIndexPath is my helper method): NSString *rowKey = [rowKeys nestedObjectAtIndexPath:indexPath]; controller.keypath = rowKey; keypath is a synthesized nonatomic, retain property defined in a based class. When I hit a breakpoint in the controller at the above code, the NSString's value is as expected. When I hit the next breakpoint inside the child controller, the object id of the keypath property is the same as before, but instead of showing me the value of the NSString, XCode says that the variable is "out of scope" which is also the error I see in the console. This also happens in another sub-class of the same parent. I tried googling, and I saw slightly similar cases where people were suggesting this had to do with retain counts. I was under the impression that by using dot notation on a synthesized property, my class would be using an "auto generated accessor" that would be increasing my retain count for me so that I wouldn't have this problem. Could there be any implications because I'm accessing it in a sub-class and the prop is defined in the parent? I don't see anything in the book's errata about this, but the book is relatively new (Apress - More iPhone 3 Dev). I also have double checked that my code matches the example 100 times.

  • QGraphicsView scrolling and image scaling/cropping

    - by boohoo
    I would like to have a background image in my QGraphicsView that is always scaled (and cropped if necessary) to the size of the viewport, without scrollbars and without scrolling with the keyboard and mouse. The example below is what I am doing to scale and crop an image in the viewport, but I am using random values for the cropping that are pulled out of the aether. I would like a logical solution? MainWindow::MainWindow(QWidget *parent) : QMainWindow(parent), ui(new Ui::MainWindow) { ui->setupUi(this); scene = new QGraphicsScene(this); ui->graphicsView->resize(800, 427); // MainWindow is 800x480, GraphicsView is 800x427. I want an image that // is the size of the graphicsView. ui->graphicsView->setHorizontalScrollBarPolicy(Qt::ScrollBarAlwaysOff); ui->graphicsView->setVerticalScrollBarPolicy(Qt::ScrollBarAlwaysOff); // the graphicsView still scrolls if the image is too large, but // displays no scrollbars. I would like it not to scroll (I want to // add a scrolling widget into the QGraphicsScene later, on top of // the background image.) QPixmap *backgroundPixmap = new QPixmap(":/Valentino_Bar_Prague.jpg"); QPixmap sized = backgroundPixmap->scaled( QSize(ui->graphicsView->width(), ui->graphicsView->height()), Qt::KeepAspectRatioByExpanding); // This scales the image too tall QImage sizedImage = QImage(sized.toImage()); QImage sizedCroppedImage = QImage(sizedImage.copy(0,0, (ui->graphicsView->width() - 1.5), (ui->graphicsView->height() + 19))); // so I try to crop using copy(), and I have to use these values // and I am unsure why. QGraphicsPixmapItem *sizedBackground = scene->addPixmap( QPixmap::fromImage(sizedCroppedImage)); sizedBackground->setZValue(1); ui->graphicsView->setScene(this->scene); } I would like to know a way to scale and crop an image to the size of the QGraphicsView that will work even when I resize the QGraphicsView. Where are the 1.5 and 19 coming from?

  • Loading cross domain XML with Javascript using a hybrid iframe-proxy/xsl/jsonp concept?

    - by Josef
    On our site www.foo.com we want to download and use http://feeds.foo.com/feed.xml with Javascript. We'll obviously use Access-Control but for browsers that don't support it we are considering the following as a fallback: On www.foo.com, we set document.domain, provide a callback function and load the feed into a (hidden) iframe: document.domain = 'foo.com'; function receive_data(data) { // process data }; var proxy = document.createElement('iframe'); proxy.src = 'http://feeds.foo.com/feed.xml'; document.body.appendChild(proxy); On feeds.foo.com, add an XSL to feed.xml and use it to transform the feed into an html document that also sets document.domain and calls the callback function in its parent with the feed data as json: <?xml version="1.0"?> <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="1.0"> <xsl:template match="ROOT"> <html><body> <script type="text/javascript"> document.domain = 'foo.com'; parent.receive_data([<xsl:apply-templates/>]); </script> </body></html> </xsl:template> <!-- templates that transform data into json objects go here --> </xsl:stylesheet> Is there a better way to load XML from feeds.foo.com and what are the ramifications of this iframe-proxy/xslt/jsonp trick? (..and in what cases will it fail?) Remarks This does not work in Safari & Chrome but since both support Access-Control it's fine. We want little or no change to feeds.foo.com We are aware of (but not interested in) server-side proxy solutions update: wrote about it

  • UISplitViewController and complex view heirarchy

    - by Jasconius
    I'm doing an iPad tech demo and I'm running into a serious technical problem. I have an app concept that leverages UISplitViewController, but NOT as the primary controller for the entire app. The app flow could be described roughly as this: Home screen (UIViewController) List-Detail "Catalog" (UISplitViewController) Super Detail Screen (UIViewController but could conceivable also be a child of SplitView). The problem is in the flow between Home and Catalog. Once a UISplitViewController view is added to the UIWindow, it starts to throw hissy fits. The problem can be summarized at this: When a UISplitView generates a popover view, it appears to then be latched to its parent view. Upon removing the UISplitView from the UIWindow subviews, you will get a CoreGraphics exception and the view will fail to be removed. When adding other views (presumably in this case, the home screen to which you are returning), they do not autorotate, instead, the UISplitView, which has failed to be removed due to a CG exception, continues to respond to the rotation instead, causing horrible rendering bugs that can't be just "dealt with". At this point, adding any views, even re-adding the SplitView, causes a cascade of render bugs. I then tried simply to leave the SplitView ever present as the "bottom" view, and keeping adding and removing the Home Screen from on top of it, but this fails as SplitView dominates the Orientation change calls, and Home Screen will not rotate, even if you call [homeScreen becomeFirstResponder] You can't put SplitView into a hierarchy like UINavigationController, you will get an outright runtime error, so that option is off the table. Modals just look bad and are discourages anyway. My presumption at this moment is that the only proper way to deal with this problem is so somehow "disarm" UISplitViewController so that it can be removed from its parent view without throwing an unhandled exception, but I have no idea how. If you want to see an app that does exactly what I need to do, check out GILT Groupe in the iPad app store. They pulled it off, but they seem to have programmed an entire custom view transition set. Help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Can't create more than one overlay in Seadragon

    Hi everyone, I am trying to add overlays to a seadragon map I am making but for some reason that I can not figure our seadragon ignores all my overlays except the first one. Any help with this is much appreciated. var viewer = null; function init() { Seadragon.Config.autoHideControls = false; viewer = new Seadragon.Viewer("container"); viewer.addEventListener("open", addOverlays); viewer.addControl(makeControl(), Seadragon.ControlAnchor.TOP_RIGHT); $(viewer.getNavControl()).parent().parent().css({ 'top': 10, 'right': 10 }); viewer.openDzi("_assets/Mapdata/dzc_output.xml"); } function makeControl() { var control = document.createElement("a"); var controlText = document.createTextNode(""); control.href = "#"; // so browser shows it as link control.className = "control"; control.appendChild(controlText); Seadragon.Utils.addEvent(control, "click", onControlClick); return control; } function onControlClick(event) { Seadragon.Utils.cancelEvent(event); // don't process link if (!viewer.isOpen()) { return; } // These are the coordinates of europe on this map var x = 0.5398693914203284; var y = 0.21155952391206562; var z = 5; viewer.viewport.panTo(new Seadragon.Point(x, y)); viewer.viewport.zoomTo(z); viewer.viewport.ensureVisible(); } function addOverlays(viewer) { drawer = viewer.drawer; var img = document.createElement("img"); img.src = "_assets/Images/pushpin.png"; $(img).addClass('pushPin'); var overlays = [ { elmt: img, point: new Seadragon.Point(0.51, 0.22) }, { elmt: img, point: new Seadragon.Point(0.20, 0.13) } ]; for (var i = 0; i < overlays.length; i++) { drawer.addOverlay(overlays[i].elmt, overlays[i].point); } } Seadragon.Utils.addEvent(window, "load", init);

  • Label in PyQt4 GUI not updating with every loop of FOR loop

    - by user297920
    I'm having a problem, where I wish to run several command line functions from a python program using a GUI. I don't know if my problem is specific to PyQt4 or if it has to do with my bad use of python code. What I wish to do is have a label on my GUI change its text value to inform the user which command is being executed. My problem however, arises when I run several commands using a for loop. I would like the label to update itself with every loop, however, the program is not updating the GUI label with every loop, instead, it only updates itself once the entire loop is completed, and displays only the last command that was executed. I am using PyQt4 for my GUI environment. And I have established that the text variable for the label is indeed being updated with every loop, but, it is not actually showing up visually in the GUI. Is there a way for me to force the label to update itself? I have tried the update() and repaint() methods within the loop, but they don't make any difference. I would really appreciate any help. Thank you. Ronny. Here is the code I am using: # -*- coding: utf-8 -*- import sys, os from PyQt4 import QtGui, QtCore Gui = QtGui Core = QtCore # ================================================== CREATE WINDOW OBJECT CLASS class Win(Gui.QWidget): def __init__(self, parent = None): Gui.QWidget.__init__(self, parent) # --------------------------------------------------- SETUP PLAY BUTTON self.but1 = Gui.QPushButton("Run Commands",self) self.but1.setGeometry(10,10, 200, 100) # -------------------------------------------------------- SETUP LABELS self.label1 = Gui.QLabel("No Commands running", self) self.label1.move(10, 120) # ------------------------------------------------------- SETUP ACTIONS self.connect(self.but1, Core.SIGNAL("clicked()"), runCommands) # ======================================================= RUN COMMAND FUNCTION def runCommands(): for i in commands: win.label1.setText(i) # Make label display the command being run print win.label1.text() # This shows that the value is actually # changing with every loop, but its just not # being reflected in the GUI label os.system(i) # ======================================================================== MAIN # ------------------------------------------------------ THE TERMINAL COMMANDS com1 = "espeak 'senntence 1'" com2 = "espeak 'senntence 2'" com3 = "espeak 'senntence 3'" com4 = "espeak 'senntence 4'" com5 = "espeak 'senntence 5'" commands = (com1, com2, com3, com4, com5) # --------------------------------------------------- SETUP THE GUI ENVIRONMENT app = Gui.QApplication(sys.argv) win = Win() win.show() sys.exit(app.exec_())

  • IEnumerable<T> and reflection

    - by Aren B
    Background Working in .NET 2.0 Here, reflecting lists in general. I was originally using t.IsAssignableFrom(typeof(IEnumerable)) to detect if a Property I was traversing supported the IEnumerable Interface. (And thus I could cast the object to it safely) However this code was not evaluating to True when the object is a BindingList<T>. Next I tried to use t.IsSubclassOf(typeof(IEnumerable)) and didn't have any luck either. Code /// <summary> /// Reflects an enumerable (not a list, bad name should be fixed later maybe?) /// </summary> /// <param name="o">The Object the property resides on.</param> /// <param name="p">The Property We're reflecting on</param> /// <param name="rla">The Attribute tagged to this property</param> public void ReflectList(object o, PropertyInfo p, ReflectedListAttribute rla) { Type t = p.PropertyType; //if (t.IsAssignableFrom(typeof(IEnumerable))) if (t.IsSubclassOf(typeof(IEnumerable))) { IEnumerable e = p.GetValue(o, null) as IEnumerable; int count = 0; if (e != null) { foreach (object lo in e) { if (count >= rla.MaxRows) break; ReflectObject(lo, count); count++; } } } } The Intent I want to basically tag lists i want to reflect through with the ReflectedListAttribute and call this function on the properties that has it. (Already Working) Once inside this function, given the object the property resides on, and the PropertyInfo related, get the value of the property, cast it to an IEnumerable (assuming it's possible) and then iterate through each child and call ReflectObject(...) on the child with the count variable.

  • Objective C - displaying data in NSTextView

    - by Leo
    Hi, I'm having difficulties displaying data in a TextView in iPhone programming. I'm analyzing incoming audio data (from the microphone). In order to do that, I create an object "analyzer" from my SignalAnalyzer class which performs analysis of the incoming data. What I would like to do is to display each new incoming data in a TextView in realtime. So when I push a button, I create the object "analyzer" whiwh analyze the incoming data. Each time there is new data, I need to display it on the screen in a TextView. My problem is that I'm getting an error because (I think) I'm trying to send a message to the parent class (the one taking care of displaying stuff in my TextView : it has a TexView instance variable linked in Interface Builder). What should I do in order to tell my parent class what it needs to display ? Or how sohould I design my classes to display automaticlally something ? Thank you for your help. PS : Here is my error : 2010-04-19 14:59:39.360 MyApp[1421:5003] void WebThreadLockFromAnyThread(), 0x14a890: Obtaining the web lock from a thread other than the main thread or the web thread. • How can I copy a SQL record which has related records in other tables to the same database?

    - by DerekVS
    Hi. I created a function in C# which allows me to copy a record and its related children to a new record and new related children in the same database. (This is for an application that allows the use of previous work as a template for new work.) Anyway, it works great... Here's a description of how it accomplishes the copy: It populates a two-column memory-based look-up table with the current primary key of each record. Next, as it individually creates each new copy record, it updates the look-up table with the Identity PK of the new record [retrieved from SCOPE_IDENTITY()]. Now, when it copies over any related children, it can look up the new parent PK to set the FK on the new record. In testing, it only took a minute to copy a relational structure on a local instance of SQL Server 2005 Express Edition. Unfortunately it is proving to be horribly slow in production! My users are dealing with 60,000+ records per parent record over the LAN to our SQL Server! While my copy function still works, each of those records represents an individual SQL UPDATE command and it loads the SQL Server at about 17% CPU from its normal 2% idle. I just finished testing a 50,000 record copy and it took almost 20 minutes! Is there a way to duplicate this functionality in SQL queries or stored procecures to make the SQL server do all of the copy work instead of blasting it over the LAN from each client? (We're running Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition.) Thanks! -Derek

  • jQuery select change/click problem - change doesn't work in IE, click doesn't work in Chrome

    - by dan727
    As the title says, I have a problem with binding to a change in a dropdown select list - it seems that "change" doesn't work with IE(7 or 8), so when I try the alternative and use a "click" event, it works in IE but doesn't work in Chrome! Am I missing something obvious here? Here's my code: //event handler for showing hidden form elements (also ensures only relevant hidden els shown) //IE needs click event instead of change $('.select_change').live("change", function(){ //check if value is other if ($(this).val() == 'other') $(this).parent().find(".hidden").show(); //if user changes select value from other then hide input if ($(this).val() != 'other') $(this).parent().find(".hidden").hide(); return false; }); The dropdown HTML is as follows: <select id="title" name="title" class="validate[required,funcCall[validateNotDefault]] select_change" > <option value="default" selected="selected">Please choose from options</option> <option value="yellow">Yellow</option> <option value="black">Black</option> <option value="chocoloate">Chocolate</option> <option value="other">Other</option> </select>

  • Android - Launch Intent within ExpandableListView

    - by Ryan
    Hello, I'm trying to figure out if it is possible to launch an intent within an ExpandableListView. Basically one of the "Groups" is Phone Number and it's child is the number. I want the user to be able to click it and have it automatically call that number. Is this possible? How? Here is my code to populate the ExpandableListView using a Map called "data". ExpandableListView myList = (ExpandableListView) findViewById(R.id.myList); //ExpandableListAdapter adapter = new MyExpandableListAdapter(data); List<Map<String, String>> groupData = new ArrayList<Map<String, String>>(); List<List<Map<String, String>>> childData = new ArrayList<List<Map<String, String>>>(); Iterator it = data.entrySet().iterator(); while (it.hasNext()) { //Get the key name and value for it Map.Entry pair = (Map.Entry)it.next(); String keyName = (String) pair.getKey(); String value = pair.getValue().toString(); //Add the parents -- aka main categories Map<String, String> curGroupMap = new HashMap<String, String>(); groupData.add(curGroupMap); curGroupMap.put("NAME", keyName); //Add the child data List<Map<String, String>> children = new ArrayList<Map<String, String>>(); Map<String, String> curChildMap = new HashMap<String, String>(); children.add(curChildMap); curChildMap.put("NAME", value); childData.add(children); } // Set up our adapter mAdapter = new SimpleExpandableListAdapter( mContext, groupData, R.layout.exp_list_parent, new String[] { "NAME", "IS_EVEN" }, new int[] { R.id.rowText1, R.id.rowText2 }, childData, R.layout.exp_list_child, new String[] { "NAME", "IS_EVEN" }, new int[] { R.id.rowText3, R.id.rowText4} ); myList.setAdapter(mAdapter);

If I resize the frame it redraws properly. My question is what should I add to my code to do that without resizing? Thanks in advance.
