  • Unable to remove invalid(orphaned?) SPNs

    tldr version: Renamed domain from internal.domain.com to domain.com, have 4 SPNs that am unable to remove from DC. So my domain was internal.domain-name.com and I renamed it to domain-name.com and I thought everything was good. Several days later, I start setting up my RD Gateway and am noticing issues surrounding group policy. I run dcdiag and the SystemLog part fails. Starting test: SystemLog A warning event occurred. EventID: 0x00001796 Time Generated: 08/25/2014 02:48:30 Event String: Microsoft Windows Server has detected that NTLM authentication is presently being used between clients and this server. This event occurs once per boot of the server on the first time a client uses NTLM with this server. An error event occurred. I found four which I remove by: setspn -D E3514235-4B06-11D1-AB04-00C04FC2DCD2/d79fa59c-74ad-4610-a5e6-b71866c7a157/internal.domain-name.com ServerName setspn -D HOST/ServerName.domain-name.com/internal.domain-name.com ServerName setspn -D GC/ServerName.domain-name.com/internal.domain-name.com ServerName setspn -D ldap/ServerName.domain-name.com/internal.domain-name.com ServerName Also, checking my dns records, there's an internal subdomain that I can delete but it comes back as well. I've tried removing the spns to no avail. Is there something I'm missing?

  • Can exim be configured to send all emails externally?

    How do I configure exim4 to route all emails via a third-party SMTP server when the sender's domain, recipient's domain, and server hostname all match? I followed this great answer and have exim4 sending emails to addresses at other domains tested and working from an Ubuntu server. My only issue is that emails where both the sender and recipient share the same domain as the server hostname, they never leave the server (and this is the expected behavior). For example, sending from test@example.com -- test@example2.com works fine, but sending from account1@example.com -- account2@example.com just routes the mail locally to /var/mail/account2, without passing through the third-party SMTP server. I'm using Google Apps at my own domain and want to send emails from server@example.com to me@example.com from a machine with the hostname example.com. I want to route them through Google's SMTP server so I see them in my other email clients. Is this possible? Very similar questions (but for postfix) here and here.

    I have a server that hosts mydomain.com. Then I have a server that hosts subdomain1.mydomain.com. On the subdomain1.mydomain.com server, how do I make subdomains? For instance I want to create subdomain2.subdomain1.mydomain.com I have my subdomain1.mydomain.com site in /home/USER/public_html and it is working just fine. But When I try to create subdomain2.subdomain1.mydomain.com, it says Server not found in the browser. I have tried so many configurations in my /etc/hosts and /etc/apache2/sites-available/subdomain2.subdomain1.mydomain.com, without any luck Can I get some detailed instructions maybe? I have looked everywhere and every place tells you different, with no luck. Ubuntu Server 11.10 w/ the Lamp Stack option

    The website(s) design is for a company active in 3 different areas. As an example lets use the following structure: www.example.com [sub1.example.com] [sub2.example.com] [sub3.example.com] sub2.example.com and sub3.example.com are ready to go live but www.example.com really isn't and send a 503 http error code. I would like to know if this situation will affect the traffic and ranking of the subdomains ready to go live? Is it preferable to wait and go live with the main domain? Or there is nothing to "fear" and one doesn't affect the other? Thank you

    I am reverse proxying one site to another site. It's working nicely, but on some links it displays the original link. For Example, there are two sections on my page: "about-us" and "inquiry". When I click on "about-us" it takes me to "http://test.mysite.com/about-us" which is ok When I click on "inquiry" it takes me to "http://mysite.com/inquiry" which is not correct it must be "http://test.mysite.com/inquiry". I think I've missed some thing to add in configuration file but I can't figure it out.

    I have three websites hosted (example1.com, example2.com, example3.com) on a server. There is a page (test.php) on example1.com with just code below inside it: <?php header('Location:http://example2.com/a.php'); ?> When I browse test.php it goes to http://example1.com/a.php . it doesn't understand it is another domain url, it tried to find the page on itself. but when I put http://google.com instead of example2.com/a.php it works correct. I really get confused. What is the problem ? Should I set some configuration on the server? ( I am administrator of the hosting server ). Ps. The server is behind a pound server.     I need to redirect CakePHP installation host to my domain. Location of my Cakephp installation: myhosting.com/newsite/ Domain: www.mydomain.com I'm currently using URL Frame to direct www.mydomain.com to myhosting.com/newsite/. Problem When I load www.mydomain.com, I see all links in the site is pointing to the hosting location - example - myhosting.com/newsite/product/1 It should be pointing to www.mydomain.com/product/1 Any simple way to fix this? UPDATE: Good call on the lack of information. The utility spits out a series of strings, and this is supposed to be complete portable across Mac/Windows/Linux. From wikipedia: The biz TLD was created to relieve some of the demand for domain names in the com top-level domain, and to provide an alternative for businesses whose preferred domain name in com had already been registered by another party. .org at least implies an organization, whereas .com is the most generic 'commercial'. But .biz seems like a total duplicate that doesn't seem in widespread use <pun>and deserves to be closed. </pun>. Does .biz have any advantages over .com? Are .biz domains worth registering if .com is already taken?

  • How do I efficiently parse a CSV file in Perl?

    I'm working on a project that involves parsing a large csv formatted file in Perl and am looking to make things more efficient. My approach has been to split() the file by lines first, and then split() each line again by commas to get the fields. But this suboptimal since at least two passes on the data are required. (once to split by lines, then once again for each line). This is a very large file, so cutting processing in half would be a significant improvement to the entire application. My question is, what is the most time efficient means of parsing a large CSV file using only built in tools? note: Each line has a varying number of tokens, so we can't just ignore lines and split by commas only. Also we can assume fields will contain only alphanumeric ascii data (no special characters or other tricks). Also, i don't want to get into parallel processing, although it might work effectively. edit It can only involve built-in tools that ship with Perl 5.8. For bureaucratic reasons, I cannot use any third party modules (even if hosted on cpan) another edit Let's assume that our solution is only allowed to deal with the file data once it is entirely loaded into memory. yet another edit I just grasped how stupid this question is.     I have two sites: www.example.de www.main.com www.main.com is English version of www.example.de which is in German. I want to keep only www.main.com. For the English version I will keep www.main.com, but for German I want to move it to www.main.com/de. I am wondering what would be best solution for old www.example.de: Redirect everything from www.example.de to www.main.com/de using 301 redirect? Redirect everything from www.example.de towww.main.com/de/page-url-of-old-size.html? So each link actually get own address. Is that necessary or will Google realize where the page belongs on new site even if I redirect everything to home page? Any other solution, maybe just set in Google webmaster tools the new domain or anything like that?

  • Best way to parse this particular string using awk / sed?

    Hi, I need to get a particular version string from a file (call it version.lst) and use it to compare another in a shell script. For example sake, the file contains lines that look like this: V1.000 -- build date and other info here -- APP1 V1.000 -- build date and other info here -- APP2 V1.500 -- build date and other info here -- APP3 .. and so on. Let's say I am trying to grab the first version (in this case, V1.000) from APP1. Obviously, the versions can change and I want this to be dynamic. What I have right now works: var = `cat version.lst | grep " -- APP1" | grep -Eo V[0-9].[0-9]{3}` Pipe to grep will get the line containing APP1 and the second pipe to grep will get the version string. However, I hear grep is not the way to do this so I'd like to learn the best way using awk or sed. Any ideas? I am new to both and haven't found a tutorial easy enough to learn the syntax of it. Do they support egrep? Thanks!

    My client wants to create email addresses for all their dotnetnuke users using their domain. The point is to keep the user's email addresses 'private' while still allowing communication through a public email address that they can control. It's not necessary to have a full webmail interface (although that would be nice). I'm thinking it would be enough just to forward any mail on and just act as a gateway. So if an email was sent to rwain@mydomain.com, it would be forwarded on to the email address associated with the dotnetnuke account with username 'rwain'. Is this possible to do in a shared hosting environment? Or do I need to create some custom mail server that does a conversion of the email address and forwards it?

Basically I'd like to have a string such as: "[[size]] widget that [[verb]] [[noun]]" Where size, verb, and noun are each a list. I'd like to interpret the string as a metalanguage, such that I can make lots of sentences out permutations from the lists. As a metalanguage, I'd also be able to make other strings that use those pre-defined lists to generate more permutations. Are there any capabilities for variable substitution like this in Python? What term describes this operation if I should just Google it?

    I finished installing Ubuntu 10 for netbooks, and XAMPP. The XAMPP website tutorial made it very easy to install, then left me high and dry. Everything works, but I have no idea where to put my handwritten php files. After a few hours of googling, and trying to understand the file explorer, I realized I have no idea where anything is in ubuntu. For an answer, please don't just tell me "go to "X" directory. I won't know how to navigate there. I also did a file search for htdocs with no luck.
