    Hello experts, I have many PDF documents in binary format which is in the SQL Server 2008 database. I have a gridview in my ASP.net page. When a user clicks on any ID column of the record I need to open the pdf in the browser. Are there any free PDF viewer controls out there? How can I convert the binary PDF file and display as PDF in the browser. Thanks

  • Commercial Java LIB / API to read and write Word 2007 docs

    I need a simple to use / good docs / good support java lib to read and write word documents, namely word 2007 support (and word 2010 support planned). As the project I'm in has budget and time-constraints I don't mind buying a commercial lib :) I know they are XML files in a somewhat open format but I really don't want to waste time understanding the XML specification. Any good recommendations from happy customers? (Right now my choice is going to Aspose.Words for Java)

  • Lisp-style quotation in HTML

    In Lisp, evaluating '(+ 1 2) produces '(+ 1 2), not 3. It seems that HTML doesn't support Lisp-style quotation so you can't say something like <quote><b>not bold</b</quote in HTML and let it just produce <b>not bold</b instead of not bold. Is there any technical reason or historical reason for that? Thanks.

The following line of code looks in column E of the Source file, and if any of the entries match the values shown in the code it copies that row of data to paste into the Destination file. If Range("E" & j) <> "Manager" And Range("E" & j) <> "Lead" And Range("E" & j) <> "Technical" And Range("E" & j) <> "Analyst" Then Rows(j).Delete The problem I have is that if none of these values are found in the Source file, I receive the following error: Run time error '1004': Delete method of range class failed and in Debug mode it highlights this part of the line as the source of the error, but I've no idea why. Rows(j).Delete I just wondered whether someone may be able to look at this please and let me know where I'm going wrong, or perhaps even suggest a more efficient process of allowing the user to merge the workbooks.   • Good policy to force all developers in a company to use the same IDE?

    In my organization they are thinking about rolling out Eclipse company wide but I prefer using another editor (UltraEdit). I do not have any good arguments against this except subjective opinions that a developer should get to use whatever he/she wants as long as he's productive enough. This to make the developer a happy employee :-) Do you guys think its a good policy to force all developers in the same company to use the same IDE? Would there be any technical (dis)advantages of this decision?

  • Searching via Tags in SharePoint 2010

    Is it possible to search on Tags within SharePoint 2010? I know you can refine your search based on Tag (Search for a keyword, then filter by Tags) and you can use the "Tag Cloud", but that doesnt let you search by more then one Tag. How would I for instance, search for some documents that I have tagged as "Technical" and "Internal", and return all items tagged with both of those tags?

  • How to scale JPEG image down so that text is clear as possible?

    I have some JPEG images that I need scale down to about 80% of original size. Original image dimension are about 700px × 1000px. Images contain some computer generated text and possibly some graphics (similar to what you would find in corporate word documents). How to scale image so that the text is as legible as possible? Currently we are scaling the imaeg down using bicubic interpolation, but that makes the text blurry and foggy.

    How do you render the cursor and create highlighting for selected text in Pango? Also, can I use PangoCairo to render parts of a layout at a time, so I can draw it in different ways (such as with an outline)?   • Business Objects: Refresh Data problem with .NET API

    I'm currently using the BO API for .NET to connect to our reports database. In .NET, I'm getting the following error: Your security profile does not include permission to refresh Web Intelligence documents. (WIS 30253) Interestingly enough, I can log into BO, and I can refresh the data and grab prompts as I'm logged in. From .NET, with the same username and password, I can't seem to do so. Anybody have any thoughts on this?
