  • How can I get Hpricot to play nice with HTML5?

    I am using Hpricot to parse a theme file. I have noticed, however, that if I feed a valid HTML5 document into Hpricot(), it auto-closes HTML5 tags (like <section>), and messes with the DOCTYPE. Are there any extensions to Hpricot, or perhaps a flag I need to set, that will allow HTML5 documents to be parsed correctly?

  • How can I get started with using WF 4.0 in typical web site scenerios?

    I have developed for SharePoint and in those cases it is clear how workflow can help (You have documents that needs approval and there are built in SharePoint workflows for this) But now I am doing standard ASP.NET web CRUD apps with WCF. I would like to find a way to get WF 4.0 invovled but I am not sure how to do it and never see any examples.... Can anyone give me some basic scenerios that I could use WF for?

  • Eclipse's Visual Studio Ctrl+Tab and Ctrl+Shift+Tab Equivalent

    In Visual Studio, I always use Ctrl+Tab and Ctrl+Shift+Tab to navigate between documents. I see that Eclipse has Ctrl+F6 to navigate between editors, but this isn't nearly the same behavior. The difference being, pressing it once and then again will get you moving back and forth between two files, whereas in VS, it will cause you to navigate forward based on the tab order in the editor. Any ideas on how I can replicate VS's behavior?

  • CRT, do we still need to redistribute it ?

    Do we still need to bother with vcredist.exe when distributing windows native applications ? Does any of these come bundled with Win-7 ? If not, are there any technical reasons these are not shipped to people via e.g. windows update - insteadof letting us burden the customers with yet-another-thing-that.must-work ? (Ok, that might sound argumentative, but I'm really wondering the reason these libraries are not default installed/updated on windows machines)

  • Planning a requirements gathering session using Agile

We are leaning towards a hybrid model in whcih the requirements gathering session is comprised of a business analyst, subject matter experts, technical person and a user interface person. The plan is to create user stories that the development team can use in their agile process with 1 month sprints. Has anyone had experience with a hybrid model? How has it worked for you so far?

    MSDN says that you should use structs when you need lightweight objects. Are there any other scenarios when a struct is preferable over a class? Edit: Some people have forgotten that: 1. structs can have methods! 2. structs have no inheritance capabilites.     On XP (user account) when running this shortcut: <Shortcut Id="UninstallStartMenuShortcut" Advertise="no" Name="AppName" Description="Uninstalls AppName" Target="[SystemFolder]msiexec.exe" Arguments="/x [ProductCode]"/> I'm getting an error "You must be an Administrator to remove this application. To remove this application, you can log on as an administrator, or contact your technical support group for assistance." Why this happens instead of asking for elevation with admin password? How can I avoid this stupid error?

  • IContextMenu::GetCommandString Not showing help text in Windows Explorer

    Hi, i am implementing a shell context menu for windows explorer and have successfully created the menu's. What i am having trouble with is the IContextMenu::GetCommandString method that displays the help text in the status bar when you hover over the selected menu item. When i do hover over each item nothing is displayed, but whats weird is that some of the other items that i didnt create, eg - open, or print have had their help text turned into garbage..     Hi Guys, Is there a built-in functionalities in solr/lucene to filter the results if they fall below a certain score threshold? Let's say if I provide a score threshold of .2, then all documents with score less than .2 will be removed from my results. My intuition is that this is possible by updating/customizing solr or lucene. Could you point me to right direction on how to do this? Thanks in advance!

    In javascript, how would you check if an object is actually visible. I don't just mean checking the visibility and display attributes. I mean, checking that the element is not visibility:hidden or display:none underneath another element scrolled off the edge of the screen. EDIT: For technical reasons, I can't include any scripts.
