Does anyone know how I can create an echo effect in real-time while singing on PC. Lets say I want to sing to an audience over IM and I want an echo/delay effect while I sing. Is there any software available?
I want to insert a CD-ROM and have it automatically be mounted to someplace like /media/cdrom and create an icon on the Gnome desktop, while logged in as a non-root user under SLED 11.
How can I accomplish this?
I'd like to create copies of the VMs located on my datastore that I can put up temporarily on a different server while I perform some maintenance on our main virtualization server.
Aside from using the Converter utility (which I don't believe I can use with the Linux machines) is there a way to make copies of these machines? It would make my life a lot easier.
Thanks!

I would like to backup my server. For example using dd:
dd if=/dev/md0 of=/some_network_share
I wonder if this image will be vary inconsistent if /dev/md0 is mounted? Would it be possible to convert such dd image to vdi drive and create working virtual machine? Using this command for example:
VBoxManage convertfromraw ImageFile.dd OutputFile.vdi
Network traffic is disabled on firewall (there is only connection to/from one remote machine where image is copied).
I have a form called frmFormTemplate, which basically just has a backcolor and properties for the default controls. What I want to do is when using the Create Form Wizard in Access 2007, make it use the properties from frmFormTemplate to style the form.
How can this be achieved? Thankyou.
I need to create a daily full backup (snapshot) of a directory tree + hourly differentials. A developer who has only sftp access needs to be able to restore from the backups and hence a solution such as rdiff-backup or duplicity wont work as she would need shell access to restore (afaik). I imagine that rsync and cron would do the job well. What is the best solution?

How would one go about creating a heat map (say, of the US) based on location data from Google Analytics? I'd like to somehow create such a map with the visitor data from several websites that use Google Analytics. I'm not really looking for a step-by-step tutorial, just some suggestions on how to start. Assume little to no programming experience, but a willingness to learn and hack together stuff to make it work.
I have a stable OS X installation on my machine and I want to create an image of it and be able to restore it later when need be. Is there a way I can do this in OS X? How can I restore the image later?

Let say i have 3 different folders that i want to access with CMD
C:\Users\Henok\Documents\Visual Studio 2012\Projects\TestApp1\Debug
C:\Users\Henok\Documents\Visual Studio 2012\Projects\TestApp2\Debug
C:\Users\Henok\Documents\Visual Studio 2012\Projects\TestApp3\Debug
I wonder if there is a way to create 3 different cmd shortcuts to access those directory (folders) individually without changing the default cmd directory location.
Forgive me for my broken English, and thanks for your time.

How can we create a log whenever the application pool of IIS crashes and restarts ? Do we have to manage the error log by asp.net or IIS does it for itself... The issue is that that admin gets to see when the IIS had restarted ? Further which version of IIS is best suited for this kind of job.
Is there a way to automatically create an odd-numbers list in Word 2007 without having to manually change each line number by using the "Set Numbering Value" menu item in the Paragraph section of the Home ribbon?
I need to create a new mailing list in Exchange 2010 which would consist of about 50 external email addresses. I have the list of (external) email addresses in plain text format.
I have previously solved this task by manually creating an external contact for each email address and then adding those external contacts to a distribution group.
What would be the most efficient way to solve this task with Exchange 2010?
Does EMS help here?
I found this Administrator user called "symantec" in my AD and i wanted to know if the recently installed SEP (Symantec Endpoint Protection) product created it? Does anyone know if SEP needs to create a user in the Administrators group for its normal operation?
Explanation in to how SEP authenticates on the domain would also be helpful.
I just installed postgresql onto an ubuntu box.
How can I create user foo with password bar and database baz, so that foo owns baz?
foo is not a unix user.
I need to create a local user with the same name as a domain user under CentOS with Likewise installed.
When I use Useradd it says user exists, because a domain user with the same name exists.
It is a service account for backup and does not work using a domain account. On machines where the local account was added before likewise was installed it works fine.
Is there a way to temporarily disable this check?
I'm connecting from Windows 7 to Ubuntu Server 10.04 using samba. I can create new files in the share, delete those files, but if I try to edit a file, and then save it, I get an access denied. My User in Windows is the same as the one I'm connecting as and as setup in Ubuntu. This is very odd. I also have trouble copying files to Ubuntu as well. It errors but lets me copy them anyway.
