How to refresh a GridView?

Hello everyone, I have a GridView which is pretty similar to the Google tutorial, except that I want to add the ImageViews on runtime (via a subactivity). The results are okay, but the layout of the View is messed up: The GridView doesn't fill the content of its parent, what do I have to do to design it properly? window.open() in an iPad on load of a frame does not work

I am trying to modify a site that uses "Morten's JavaScript Tree Menu" to display PDFs in a frames set using the Adobe Reader plug-in. On the iPad the frame is useless, so I want to open the PDF in a new tab. Not wanting to mess with the tree menu I thought I could use JavaScript in the web page being opened in the viewer frame to open a new tab with the PDF. I am using window.open() in $(document).ready(function() to open the pdf in the new tab. The problem is that window.open() does not want to work in the iPad. If I switch things around widow.open() works fine on a computer. In another project I am using window.open() successfully on the iPad from an onclick function. I tried using a timer function. I also tried adding an onclick function to the div and posting a click event. In both cases they worked on a computer but not an iPad. I am stumped. I know it would make more sense to handle the ipad in the tree menu frame, but that code is so complex I can't figure out where to put/modify the onclick event. Is there a way to change the object so that it opens in a new tab? Is anyone familiar enough with Mortens Tree Menu code that can tell me how to channge the on click event so that it opens the pdf in a new tab instead of opening a page in the frame? Thanks

MVC multi page form losing session

I have a multi-page form that's used to collect leads. There are multiple versions of the same form that we call campaigns. Some campaigns are 3 page forms, others are 2 pages, some are 1 page. They all share the same lead model and campaign controller, etc. There is 1 action for controlling the flow of the campaigns, and a separate action for submitting all the lead information into the database. I cannot reproduce this locally, and there are checks in place to ensure users can't skip pages. Session mode is InProc. But when these error occurs there is a different visitorID between the Campaign POST and the Submit POST. Because we track each form submission via the TrackLead() method during campaign and submit actions I can see session is being lost between calls, despite the OnActionExecuted firing after every POST and storing the form in session. So when there are errors, we get half the form under one visitorID and the remainder of the form under a different visitorID. Luckily we use a third party service which sends an API call every time a form value changes which uses it's own ID. These IDs are consistent between the first half of the form, and the remainder of the form, and the only way I can save the leads from the lost session issues. I should also note that this works fine 99% of the time. EDIT: I've modified my code to explicitly store my lead object in TempData and used the TempData.Keep() method to persist the object between subsequent requests. I've only deployed this behavior to 1 of my 3 sites but so far so good. I had also tried storing my lead objects in Session directly in the controller action i.e., Session.Add("lead", this._Lead); which uses HTTPSessionStateBase, attempting to circumvent the wrapper class, instead of HttpContext.Current.Session which uses HTTPSessionState. This modification made no difference on the issue, as expected.

Many to many self join through junction table

I have an EF model that can self-reference through an intermediary class to define a parent/child relationship. I know how to do a pure many-to-many relationship using the Map command, but for some reason going through this intermediary class is causing problems with my mappings. The intermediary class provides additional properties for the relationship. If I build it without the modelBinder logic in place then I get two ID columns for Child and two ID columns for Parent in my ChildRecord table. This makes sense since it tries to auto create the navigation properties from Equipment and doesn't know that there are already properties in ChildRecord to fulfill this need. scroll into view the selected element

hi all, i am a newbie to javascript... i have two select boxes with multiple selection enabled.When i select an element from first select box it scrolls into view the corrosponding element from the second list.The single selection goes fine in all browsers explorer,firefox,chrome. now, if i select the first,last element from the first selection box the second select box does not scrolls into view the last selected element in chrome browser.although , it works fine in internet explorer and firefox. Having trouble with multiple Jquery libraries

I've seen the posts about the no conflict but I'm not very code savvy and can't figure it out alone. I'm having trouble making two libraries work together. At the top I have the 1.9.1 library which controls a news ticker, and a carousel. Near the bottom there is a library 1.6.1, which controls a Dribbble feed. If I remove 1.6.1 everything but the dribbble feed works, and if I remove the 1.9.1 the dribbble feed is the only thing that works. I uploaded the website for you guys to check out. If you could edit my code to make it work that would be amazing, I don't have much knowledge of jquery. How Do I make my own keyboard for an app in android

I am currently working on an app, that requires a keyboard in a different language (Specifically Hebrew), the problem is, that I don't know where to begin. I don't want the user to have to go onto an app store, and install a separate app that has more languages in it just to use my app, and, I only want the keyboard to be available in my app, ie, it shouldn't effect anything outside my specific app. the way I am doing it right now, is to create it as part of the main layout, and just make it visible whenever the user clicks on the Edit Text. the problem with this, is I can't get the size of it to readjust. I had originally tried using 2 different layouts (one in the res/layout folder, and one in the res/layout-lnd folder), but this caused different problems in my app, making it slower. so I am wondering 2 things, either of which should work. one: how would I create the layout for the keyboard to readjust. or Two: how would I make a keyboard correctly. here is the xml code that I am useing Right so i am working with hibernate gilead and gwt to persist my data on users and files of a website. my users have a list of file locations. i am using annotations to map my classes to the database. i am getting a org.hibernate.LazyInitializationException when i try to add file locations to the list that is held in the user class. this is a method below that is overridden from a external file upload servlet class that i am using. when the file uploads it calls this method. the user1 is loaded from the database elsewhere. the exception occurs at user1.getFileLocations().add(fileLocation); Optimizing a lot of Scanner.findWithinHorizon(pattern, 0) calls

I'm building a process which extracts data from 6 csv-style files and two poorly laid out .txt reports and builds output CSVs, and I'm fully aware that there's going to be some overhead searching through all that whitespace thousands of times, but I never anticipated converting about about 50,000 records would take 12 hours. My Scanner id is scanning a java.util.String, figured buffering it to memory would reduce I/O since the search here is being performed thousands of times on a relatively small file. The performance increase compared to scanning a BufferedReader(FileReader(File)) was probably less than 1%, the process still looks to be taking a LONG time. I've also traced execution and the slowness of my overall conversion process is definitely between the first and last like of the lookup method. In fact, so much so that I ran a shortcut process to count the number of occurrences of various identifiers in the .csv-style files (I use 2 lookup methods, this is just one of them) and the process completed indexing approx 4 different identifiers for 50,000 records in less than a minute. Compared to 12 hours, that's instant. Some notes (updated): I don't necessarily need the pattern-matching behaviour, I only get the first field of a line of text so I need to match line breaks or use Scanner.nextLine(). All ID numbers I need start at position 0 of a line and run through til the first block of whitespace, after which is the name of the corresponding object. I would ideally want to return a String, not an int locating the line number or start position of the result, but if it's faster then it will still work just fine. If an int is being returned, however, then I would now have to seek to that line again just to get the ID; storing the ID of every line that is searched sounds like a way around that. Anything to help me out, even if it saves 1ms per search, will help, so all input is appreciated. Thankyou! Usage scenario 1: I have a list of objects in file A, who in the old-style system have an id number which is not in file A. It is, however, POSSIBLY in another csv-style file (file B) or possibly still in a .txt report (file C) which each also contain a bunch of other information which is not useful here, and so file B needs to be searched through for the object's full name (1 token since it would reside within the second column of any given line), and then the first column should be the ID number. If that doesn't work, we then have to split the search token by whitespace into separate tokens before doing a search of file C for those tokens as well. Much like a person's name. As per a comment, I will pre-compile the regex for my objectSearchToken, which is just [\r\n]+. What's ending up happening in file C is, every single line is being checked, even the 95% of lines which don't contain an ID number and object name at the start. Would it be quicker to use ^[\r\n]+.*(objectname) instead of two separate regexes? It may reduce the number of _match executions. The more general case of that would be, concatenate all tokensBefore with all tokensAfter, and put a .* in the middle. It would need to be matching backwards through the file though, otherwise it would match the correct line but with a huge .* block in the middle with lots of lines. The above situation could be resolved if I could get java.util.Scanner to return the token previous to the current one after a call to findWithinHorizon. I have another usage scenario. Will put it up asap.

storing session data in mysql using php is not retrieving the data properly from the tables.

I have a problem retrieving some data from the $_SESSION using php and mysql. I've commented out the line in php.ini that tells the server to use the "file" to store the session info so my database will be used. I have a class that I use to write the information to the database and its working fine. When the user passes their credentials the class gets instantiated and the $_SESSION vars get set, then the user gets redirected to the index page. The index.php page includes the file where the db session class is, which when instantiated calles session_start() and the session variables should be in $_SESSION, but when I do var_dump($_SESSION) there is nothing in the array. However, when I look at the data in mysql, all the session information is in there. Its acting like session_start() has not been called, but by instantiating the class it is. Any idea what could be wrong? Hello everyone, I was working on one of my academic projects and for the first time I needed pure C++ without GUI. After googling for a while, I did not find any simple and easy to use implementation for logging and created my own. This is a simple implementation with iostreams that logs messages to screen and to the file simultaneously. I was thinking of using templates but then I realized that I do not expect any changes and removed that. It is modified std::wostream with two added modifiers: 1. TimeStamp - prints time-stamp 2. This wasn't a big problem but now it's always running into the methods of the interface and not into those of my service class. Maybe someone could help me? I have a UI, in that UI is 4 text fields and 1 int field, then I have a function that calls to another function based on what's inside of the text fields, this function has (self, *args). My function that is being called to takes five arguments and I don't know what to put in it to make it actually work with my UI because python button's send an argument of their own.
