• how to change uibutton title at runtime in objective c?

  Hello, I know this question is asked many a times,and i am also implementing the same funda for chanding the title of the uibutton i guess. Let me clarify my problem first. I have one uibutton named btnType, on clicking of what one picker pops up and after selecting one value,i am hitting done button to hide the picker and at the same time i am changing the the title of the uibutton with code [btnType setTitle:btnTitle forState:UIControlEventTouchUpInside]; [btnType setTitleColor:[UIColor redColor] forState:UIControlEventAllEvents]; But with my surpriaze,it is not changed and application crashes with signal EXC_BAD_ACCESS. I am not getting where i am making mistake.I have allocated memory to the btnType at viewdidLoad. Also I am using -(IBAction)pressAddType { toolBar.hidden = FALSE; dateTypePicker.hidden = FALSE; } event on pressing the button to open the picker. Also i would like to mention that i have made connection with IB with event TouchUpInside for pressAddType. Any guesses? I will be grateful if you could help me. Thanks.

• PGU HTML Renderer can't render most sites

  I am trying to make a web browser using pygame. I am using PGU for html rendering. I am guessing the reason for this is that the if statement that checks the type of the input and creates the e variable didn't match anything. I added a line to print the _type variable and I got 'hidden' when i tried google and apple. Is there any way to render form items that have the type 'hidden' with PGU?

• Why can a public class not inherit from a less visible one?

  I apologize if this question has been asked before. I've searched SO somewhat and wasn't able to find it. I'm just curious what the rationale behind this design was/is. Obviously I understand that private/internal members of a base type cannot, nor should they, be exposed through a derived public type. But it seems to my naive thinking that the "hidden" parts could easily remain hidden while some base functionality is still shared and a new interface is exposed publicly. I'm thinking of something along these lines: Assembly X internal class InternalClass { protected virtual void DoSomethingProtected() { // Let's say this method provides some useful functionality. // Its visibility is quite limited (only to derived types in // the same assembly), but at least it's there. } } public class PublicClass : InternalClass { public void DoSomethingPublic() { // Now let's say this method is useful enough that this type // should be public.   I have following divs on my page <div id="rpttimeline">div 1</div> <div id="rptareaview">div 2</div> <div id="rptgalleria">div 3</div> <div id="rptremainingwork">div 4</div> <div id="rptremainingspec">div 5</div> <div id="rptremainingreq">div 6</div> <div id="rptremaininguserstory">div 7</div> Initially through css I have the first two divs set to visible and the remaining are hidden. in my document ready function I have $(document).ready(function () { window.setInterval(toggleDivs, 5000); }); function toggleDivs() { $('#rpttimeline').toggle(); $('#rptareaview').toggle(); $('#rptgalleria').toggle(); $('#rptremainingwork').toggle(); $('#rptremainingspec').toggle(); $('#rptremainingreq').toggle(); $('#rptremaininguserstory').toggle(); } when toggledivs is called the first two divs get hidden but the other divs are not visible. It seems the toggle is affecting just the first two divs. Am I missing something here?

• Get parent attribute within new child form?

  I have a simple Rails 3 application and I am trying to create a new record that belongs to it's owner. It's working by passing the id to a hidden field in the new form of the child record. This works well and once the new child form submitted it correctly gets associated in the child/parent relationship. What I am trying to do, is lookup values form the parent within the new child form. The problem is that the child relationship is not yet created. Is there anyway I can use a .where lookup in the view? Or, is there a better way of doing this? At the moment I am passing the animal_id though to the new Claim form and it's inserted into a hidden field labelled animal_id. What I am trying to do: <%= @animal.where(:animal_id => params[:animal_id]).id %> The above would ideally get the animal ID from the soon-to-be-associated animal. Is there any sort of before_filter or anything that could take the passed params from the URL and temporarily create the relationship just for the new form view and then permanently create the relationship once the form is submitted? I've tried adding the following to my Claims controller and then called @animal.AnimalName in the view but I get NoMethodError: before_filter :find_animal protected def find_animal if params[:animal_id] Animal.find(params[:animal_id]) end end The URL of the new claim is correctly showing the animal ID so I'm not sure why it's not finding it: http://localhost:3000/claims/new?animal_id=1 The model relations are as follows: animal has_many claims animal has_one exclusion claim has_one animal exception has_one animal

  so i have been looking around on how to do this but with no success. Im trying to get the value of the name test from an external website <input type="hidden" name="test" value="ThisIsAValue" /> But so far i have only found how to get the value of that with an ID <input type="hidden" id="test" name="test" value="ThisIsAValue" autocomplete="off" /> but I need to try find it without a ID is my problem. • choose javascript variable based on element id from jquery

  I feel like this is a simple question, but I am still relatively new to javascript and jquery. I am developing a site for a touch interface that uses unordered lists and jquery .click functions to take input data. I have a section to input a m:ss time, with 3 divs, each containing a list of digits for time. I need to get the input for each column and set it as a variable. I originally designed the inputs to change form inputs, because I didn't understand javascript very much. It was easy to change the 3 hidden inputs by using div id's, but I can't figure out how to do it now with javascript variables. Here is my original jquery code... $("div#time>div>ul>li").click(function() { var id = $(this).parents(".time").attr("name"); var number = $(this).html(); $("input#"+id).val(number); }); The last line sets one of 3 hidden inputs equal to whatever was clicked. I need to make it so separate variables take the inputs, then I can manipulate those variables however I want. • CSS Container DIV Not Expanding

  I've been researching this for hours now and it seems to be an IE thing but my issue is that I have a container DIV that, in IE9, doesn't expand and cuts everything off after about 400px. Chrome and FF work perfectly, of course. • PHP: Need a double check on an error in this small code

• Problem with running totals in jquery

  I'm having an issue trying to get an accurate running total for my calculations. When you enter numbers into the input field I get an accurate total for that line item, but the grand total comes out to a higher number. Note that this is a dynamic form and that the id's will change depending on how many form fields I have added to the form. Also, I have it set to make the calculations onKeyUp for each input field instead of a calculate button. The code that calculates a single item is this: function calcLineItem(id) { var id = $(id).attr("id"); var Item1 = $("#Item1" + id).val(); var Item2 = $("#Item2" + id).val(); var Item3 = $("#Item3" + id).val(); function calcTotal(Item1, Item2, Item3){ var total; total = Math.round((Item1 * Item2) * Item3); return total; } $("#total" + id).text(calcTotal(Item1, Item2, Item3)); calcAllFields(); } This will give me the total of this particular input field. Any ideas on how to avoid this from happening?

• Changing iframe visibility on Mozilla not working

  I've got a simple iframe that I want hidden until an event from that iframe is fire via easyXDM. It's working fine on Chrome, but somehow not on Mozilla. The event is being fired on both browsers, but only shows the iframe on Chrome. The only way to show the iframe on Mozilla is to call the same code using an onclick event. I have a html table in each row i have a button called edit allowing user to relod the form with parameter that he has selected. for this i define a hidden type to get the id of the record in database to access to various colonne and to refresh the form with those parameters. My challenge now is how to get the right id in every click on the edit button to let me after to get the right record and to update it in the data base. • Sliding div in jquery

  I am trying to make a toolbar type section on the top of my site. I just need one div that will be hidden by default, and a button that will be hanging off the bottom of that div. When it is clicked, the div should slide down (with the button still on bottom). And upon clicking, it should slide back up. Here is what I currently have: <div id="account_toolbar" style="background-color:#fff;"> <div id="toolbar_contents" style="display:none;"> This is the account toolbar so far </div> <div id="button" style="background-color: #ff0000;"><%= image_tag "templates/_global/my_account.png", :id => "my_account_btn", :style => "float: right; margin-right: 100px;" %></div> </div> The image tag is using ruby/rails syntax, so pay no attention to that. It will render like any other image tag. Here is the jquery i'm using: $('#my_account_btn').click(function () { $('#toolbar_contents').slideToggle(); }); So, this is actually working for the most part. My problem however is that the spacing where the toolbar content div goes, pushes the account button down. When it slides up or down it temporarily attaches itself to the bottom of the div, then jumps back down once it is finished sliding (leaving a gap between the bottom of the hidden div and the top of the account button). I hope that makes sense. thanks

• <select> box not displaying on Android in PhoneGap

  I have some HTML code in a PhoneGap application that displays a <select> box to the user. When I tap on it, the usual Android selection screen doesn't pop up. I had a similar problem with this earlier on webOS (although at that time the drop-downs were working properly). The <select> is inside a <div> that gets hidden or shown at certain times during execution: <div id="submit"> <ul class="rounded"> <li><select id="item"></select></li> </ul> </div> The problem only occurs when the <div> has been hidden and then shown again (either directly through CSS or by using jQuery's hide() and show() methods. If I move the <select> box outside of that <div>, or if I make the <div> always visible, then the drop-down behaves as it should; no problems. Why is this?

This is what i'm trying to do with no success. $(function() { $('button.sendInfo').live('click', function() { var id = $(this).parent().next('[type=text]').val(); alert(id); }); }); I plan to set what the user types in textbox to the hidden field, and the value received from the ajax call to normal textbox. • OTRS upgrade 3.0 to 3.1 fails

  Today I've started upgrading OTRS from version 2.3 to 2.4 , 2.4 to 3.0 and 3.0 to 3.1. Everything went smoothly except the upgrade from 3.0 to 3.1 OTRS provides a few perl scripts which make the upgrade easier. I've used these scripts for each upgrade step. The upgrade from 3.0 to 3.1 fails at the following after using the upgrade script. scripts/DBUpdate-to-3.1.pl The error is : root@tickets:/opt/otrs# su - otrs $ scripts/DBUpdate-to-3.1.pl Migration started... • Switch Text Paragraphs in OpenOfficeOrg Writer mailmerge

  I am using mailmerge to write the same letter with minor differenes to many peolpe. I experienced that switching text paragraphs depending on database values was not easy for me. I ended up putting huge text paragraphs into the database becaus switching did not really work for me. Actually I dont' understand how writer does it and maybe the boolean evaluation is buggy? There is some possibility making paragraphs invisible depending on database fields, but it was frustrating. After marking a paragraph as invisible (depending on a condition) it went invisible in the main document and did not come back, I lost the content. An example in pseudocode of what I want in my mailmerge document: {if [[balance]] 10} We owe you money. Please can you send your bank details. {end if} {if [[balance]] < -10} Please transfer the remaining amount to our banc account 123... {end if} Maybe this could be done with makros? But how to combine makros with mailmerge? Can you tell me what are the pitfalls and how to master them? I once did this with ms word, it was a lot easier. The normal mailmerge (including database fields in the letters) works fine for me in OpenOffice writer.

• Our application is responding different on client server

  I have an application running on our local server and it works perfect. However when I deploy my application to our client's server there are problems. If i copy all the sources to another local from their server, it works fine again.... I am talking about an ASP.NET application talking with windows server 2008. The server specs of our client are: intel Xeon 2.13 GHz 6 GB RAM 300 GB HDD windows server 2008 R2 Although I think it's not that important I will describe the problems I am talking about to give u a better idea: It is related to upating and deleting fields in the sql server. Whenever there is more than one user running the application, and updates or deletes (not even the same record!0, there seems to be fields updating/deleting wrongly. But as I said before, if we copy the source to another server it is not the case. So I assumed it is more configuration related. Do you guys have any idea what the issue could be? Thanks a lot EDIT: my client old me he disabled the sql related accounts Could this be related?
