  • Visual Studio Question: How to go to a specific file path and line number programmatically?

    In the Visual Studio output window, you can double click a line that contains a file path and line number and it automatically takes you to that location. In my program, I need to mimic this behavior and be able to click something (a button for example) and do go to a specific file and line number that I tell it to go to. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. I am working in C#.

    I can't find or figure out how to take a list of items (cupcakes) and display them in razor with a quantity field. What is happening is I am not able to get the values for each cupcake quantity in the list. Can you do textbox arrays in Razor?     I have a list of dates that a machine has worked on, but itdoesn't include a date that machine was down. I need to create a list of days worked and not worked. I am not sure of the best wat to do this. I have started by incrementing throug all the days of a range and checking to see if the date is in the list by itenerating through the entire list each time.   • Does a lazy-programmer file auto-generator tags exist?

    I was wondering (if possible) if there was a program/tool/utility that when I create a new file and provide it with an extension that it creates the tags automatically? For example, a new file I create called index.php would have the appropriate tags auto-generated inside: <?php ?> I hope you get the idea. Does one, or could one, exist, preferably Windows based? Any information regarding this would be helpful.

I'm trying to compare them in a way that validates that every element of one list has the same value as every element of another list. My Equals method below always returns false, can anyone see why that is?   • Forcing GWT to assume List is implemented as ArrayList

    For some reason I'm stucked with model classes using List as Collection Type and I would like to use the model on the client side. However GWT of course fails serializing java.util.List. However all implementations of List in this model are based on ArrayList. So is it possible to tell GWT to assume List is ArrayList? Edit GWT fails on compile time, since a possible candidate for List is also java.util.Collections.SingeltonList - which can not be compiled. I'm using GWT 2.1 and Java 1.6 .

    Hello, I have a list of objects say, List. The Entity class has an equals method,on few attributes ( business rule ) to differentiate one Entity object from the other. The task that we usually carry out on this list is to remove all the duplicates something like this : List<Entity> noDuplicates = new ArrayList<Entity>(); for(Entity entity: lstEntities) { int indexOf = noDuplicates.indexOf(entity); if(indexOf >= 0 ) { noDuplicates.get(indexOf).merge(entity); } else { noDuplicates.add(entity); } } Now, the problem that I have been observing is that this part of the code, is slowing down considerably as soon as the list has objects more than 10000.I understand arraylist is doing a o(N) search. Is there a faster alternative, using HashMap is not an option, because the entity's uniqueness is built upon 4 of its attributes together, it would be tedious to put in the key itself into the map ? will sorted set help in faster querying ? Thanks

    I have one worksheet for setting up the data sources of multiple data validation lists. in other words, I'm using this worksheet to provide drop down lists to multiple other worksheets. I need to dynamically update all worksheets upon any of a single or several changes on the data source worksheet. I may understand this should come with event macro over the entire workbook. My question is how to achieve this keeping the "OFFSET" formula across the whole workbook ? Thx To support my question, I put the piece of code that I'm trying to get it working : Provided the following informations : I'm using such a formula for a pseudo dynamic update of the drop down lists, for example : =OFFSET(MyDataSourceSheet!$O$2;0;0;COUNTA(MyDataSourceSheet!O:O)-1) I looked into the pearson book event chapter but I'm too noob for this. I understand this macro and implemented it successfully as a test with the drop down list on the same worksheet as the data source. I would like to select the books according to a list of tags. For example : selected tags list : {A,B} - book 1 My idea was to use the MINUS SQL function, to subtract book tags list to the selected tags list, and return the book if the list was empty. Unfortunately, this SQL function is not supported by HQL. Any idea about that ?
