• String translation to Portuguese

  I wanted to translate strings groupbytext, show in groups in the column menu of a grid panel. In ext-lang-pt.js the string are not included. wheres as in other languages thse string are included. These strings are in cluded in ext-lang-pt_PT.js. what is the difference between ext-lang-pt.js and ext-lang-pt_PT.js. Do I have to include the file ext-lang-pt_PT.js in order to translate the strings in portugese? Please let me know

  I though it would be very simple but I can not get it today. I have a user control, with a grid control contained in it. public Unit Width { get { return CustomerGrid.Width; } set { CustomerGrid.Width = value; } } I expose the width property and when I set it in the designer it works at run-time but not design time. What class do I inherit from or method to override to get my controls to function at design time. Note I tried to inherit from WebControl but got the message Make sure that the class defined in this code file matches the 'inherits' attribute, and that it extends the correct base class

  Hi, I have created an applicationto display list of files. it also provide user interface for adding new column to a gridview. DataGridViewTextBoxColumn txtBoxColumn = new DataGridViewTextBoxColumn(); txtBoxColumn.Name = columnName; txtBoxColumn.HeaderText = columnName; g_dataGridView.Columns.Add(txtBoxColumn); User will create some custom type column therefore i am adding column directly to grid. I am also able to set its default value before adding for this i am using DataGrid_CellFormatting(object sender, DataGridViewCellFormattingEventArgs e) { if (colIndexWithDefaultValue.Count > 0) { if (colIndexWithDefaultValue.Contains(e.ColumnIndex)) { g_dataGridView.Rows[e.RowIndex].Cells[e.ColumnIndex].Value = colIndexWithDefaultValue[e.ColumnIndex]; } } } where colIndexWithDefaultValue is list of columns with its default value. It is able to show newly created column with default value. But values are getting set for currently visible rows. To set value for all rows i have to do scrolling. So, how do i overcome this problem...

  Hello all I am using HTMLTable of import com.google.gwt.user.client.ui.HTMLTable I instantiated it like below: HTMLTable table = new Grid(rows, col); Number of rows and columns are decided by the user input. Now I want to used colspan for the specific rows of the table. One way to this is apply css to the that specific row.But problem with this is that Number of column to span are decided by the user input, i.e It may vary every time. So by using css it is something like making it static. So I want to know the way through which I can do colspan on the rows of the table. and Number of column to span is different every time. • Datagrid row height doesnot shrink back

  Hi, I have a data grid, in each row I have one cell which needs to have a very lengthy text which is about 1000 characters long. So I decided to put the text in the expander control keeping the cell width fixed, when the user wants to read the text, he clicks on the expander to open and reads it. The row height automatically grows when the expander is expanded but when the expander is collapsed back, the row height doesnt shirk. Can anyone pls tell me how to set the row height back after the expander is collapsed? i tried the follwing link. http://forums.silverlight.net/forums/p/133177/299186.aspx#299186 but this did not work any help would be grealty appreciated, thanks

• Tkinter mouse event initially triggered

  I'm currently learning Tkinter and I cannot find a solution for my problem here nor outside Stackoverflow. In a nutshell, all events that I bind to my widgets are triggered initialy and don't respond to my actions. In this example, the red rectangle appears on the canvas when I run the code, and color=random.choice(['red', 'blue']) revealed that the event binding doesn't work after that: import Tkinter as tk class application(tk.Frame): def __init__(self, master=None): tk.Frame.__init__(self, master) self.can = tk.Canvas(master, width=200, height=200) self.can.bind('<Button-2>', self.draw()) self.can.grid() def draw(self): self.can.create_rectangle(50, 50, 100, 100, fill='red') app = application() app.mainloop() I use a Mac platform, but I haven't got a clue about its role in the problem. • How to control the state of the buttons to be in present based on an event happened in a Silverlight app?

  I am trying to avoid building two buttons when I really need one. In my Silverlight app scenarios, I have few grids with a different content and buttons that control the visibility of these grids. I need to be able to show a different visual for a button when its content grid is visible. I can control states such as MouseOver and Pressed and more with visual state manage. However, I am not sure how to achieve this functionality with. I also can place an image on top of the button and switch the visibility of both but it is not perfect for what I need. I am wondering if there is any way to achieve this behavior. Any ideas are highly appreciated!

• Gridview inside UpdatePanel refresh

  I use a GridView to represent data from a table in my DB. the GridView has some template fields whose content are determined before displaying the Grid ( I use the RowDataBound event to determine content of template fields before displaying the GridView). The page displays a list of records from the table records and then, the recording process starts. after the process is over, the template fields should be updated. how do I automatically refresh the GridView after the process is finished ? it should be noted that the GridView is contained within an control and that I continuously poll the server using a Timer control that executes "GridView1.DataBind()" at the server level every 60 seconds. since the GridView is inside an UpdatePanel, calling DataBind() method on it doesn't seem to call the RowDataBound event. How can I solve this ?

I've seen Right Scale, but their pricing is just from another planet. Similarly, is there a common API for cloud storage?

• [FLEX 3] Placing images into a Collage Canvas

  I've got an array of different sized images. I want to place these images on a canvas in a sort of automated collage. Does anyone have an idea of how to work the logic behind this concept? All my images have heights divisible by 36 pixels and widths divisible by 9 pixels. They have mouseDown functions that allow you to drag and drop. When dropped the image goes to the closest x point divisible by 9 and y point divisble by 36. There is a grid drawn on top of the canvas. I've sorted the array of images based on height, then based on their widths. imagesArray.sortOn("height", Array.NUMERIC | Array.DESCENDING); imagesArray.sortOn("width", Array.NUMERIC | Array.DESCENDING); I'd like to take the largest image ( imageArray[0] ) to put in corner x,y = 0,0. Then randomize the rest of the images and fit them into the collage canvas.

  I love the controls from the Bag-Of-Tricks. I am interested in modifying the ReorderListBox control to get a ReorderListView control. However, simply changing the base class from ListBox to ListView is not working. When I try to add a ReorderListView to XAML like this: <lib:ReorderListView Grid.Row="1"> <ReorderListView.View> <GridView> <GridViewColumn Header="Data1" /> </GridView> </ReorderListView.View> </lib:ReorderListView> I get an error ("The tag 'ReorderListView.View' does not exist in XML namespace 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation'.) How do I modify the ReorderListBox example to get this to work? Has anyone already succeeded in doing this?

  I am using the ToolkitScriptManager from the Ajax tool kit and I am having a problem finding my button's ID. My ID's on my controls come back with $ symbols instead of _ symbols, like the following: Grid$ctl06$insertButton This obviously causes problems when attempting to find the control from the Page.Request.Form keys. I cannot seem to find the determining factor that would cause this. Now, I know this is the name and in my source I see that the ID is with the _, so why is the Page.Request.Form showing up with the $ symbol instead? Anybody encounter this before?

Normally to a Grid or something like that I would just use .Children.Add(MyTextBlock), but that doesn't work here. Also I have to be able to remove specific Items from the ItemsControl again (best would be by the name of the Item, name_ in this example).

• This should be real easy. How to find a button through its Value (Jquery Selector)

  I have this HTML: <div id='grid'> <input type="button" value="edit"/> <input type='button' value='update'/> </div> How to I attach a click event only to Update button. I know I could add a class to it or specity an id but both are not possible since it is in gridview. I tried this: $("input:button[@value='update']").click(function(){alert('test');}); but it displays an alert for both buttons. I know I must be doing something silly. Any help is much appreciated. • WPF Binding to Items within a collection? (or converter with parameters)

  i am using a WPF DataGrid, and in my Details row, i would like to show separate objects within a sub collection of each grid item. Is it possible to have a finer control of Path? for example something like... Path=SubCollection['ItemX'] etc.. also, if i was to use a converter, i don't want to have to create a separate converter for each item.. so would there be a way to supply a parameter to a converter that could than determine which collection item to return??

  this appears to bind, but rows in Details Grid are empty. Something is off/missing? I've also tried {Binding SubCustomers} SubCustomers is a List on parent object. • How to mimic an excel spreadsheet on a website in vb.net?

  I am building a website to capture data. I have many spreadsheets that are used for data entry or capture. Now I want to mimic these complex spreadsheets on the web forms but I am unsure of the correct control to use. Data entry must be allowed and live calculations also need to be made similar to formulas on normal excel spreadsheets. Later on the data must be captured into an SQL table. What would be the best control to use or method to mimic that functionality, albeit that the spreadsheet component is no longer available in visual studio 2010. Is it a data grid? Thanks

• Databinding a list (in an object) to a combobox in VB.net

  VB 2008 .NET 3.5 I have a custom "Shipment" object that contains a list of "ShippingRate" objects. This list of "ShippingRates" is accessible through a property "Shipment.PossibleShippingRates." That property simply returns a copy of the list of "ShippingRate" for that particular Shipment. My UI layer receives a list of "Shipment" objects from the BLL. This list is databound to a datagridview, and shows details relevant to the Shipment such as Shipping Address, etc. I want to bind the "Shipment.PossibleShippingRates" property to a combobox, such that when the user changes the grid row, the combobox reflects the "PossibleShippingRates" for that "Shipment." In addition, I need a way to store the "ShippingRate" they selected from the combobox for later use. I have tried a few ideas, but none of them work properly. Any ideas on how to do this?

Say, for instance, I just want to plot a single point, or a single grid, what can I do? I thought perhaps to plot a single point I could use: surf(X(1,1), Y(1,1), Z(1,1)) But then I get the error message: ??? Error using ==> surf at 78 Data dimensions must agree. I would really appreciate some input/help here. Thanks in advance :)

  I put a wpf textbox inside a combobox to allow the user to enter a custom setting. I can read the keypress in the keydown event, but the text in the textbox does not change.   I have a couple of functions that loop around the surrounding cells of a cell. The grid is contained inside an array. In my code, I have checks to make sure it's not one of the edge cells, as checking an undefined cell causes an error. As such, I have code like this: if(x > 0) { var firstX = x - 1; } else { var firstX = x; } if(x < 199) { var lastX = x + 1; } else { var lastX = x; } if(y > 0) { var firstY = y - 1; } else { var firstY = y; } if(y < 199) { var lastY = y + 1; } else { var lastY = y; } A lot of lines of code to do very little. Is there a more elegant way to do this?
