• Real-world examples of populating a GWT CellTable using a clean MVP pattern?

  We are using the GWT-Presenter framework and attempting to use CellTable to put together an updateable grid. It seems as though several of the GWT constructs for CellTable don't lend themselves to easily breaking up the logic into clean view and presenter code. Examples: 1) Within the View's constructor, the CellTable is defined and each column is created by anonymous inner classes that extend the Column class to provide the onValue() method. 2) The FieldUpdater interface must be implemented to provide logic to execute when a user alters data in a cell. This seems like it would best fit in the Presenter's onBind() method, but FieldUpdaters often need access to the Cell or Column which belong in the view. CellTable does not have accessor methods to get hold of the Columns or Cells, so it seems the only way for the Presenter to get them is for me to create a multitude of member variables on the View and accessors on my Display interface. Can anyone provide good examples for dealing with CellTable in GWT-Presenter or a comparable MVP

• jquery offset incorrect on floating elements

  I have a bunch of images each with the float: left property applied to them. They are constrained withing a 400px width area, forcing them into a grid of 4 X 4. If i try to get the position of them, they are always incorrect. What is causing this? You can see what I'm trying to do here: http://dev.redemptionconnect.com/cards/browse. • How do you open a second WPF window without creating a new one.

  In the program I am trying to build, I have a menu button that opens a second window. The user puts information into the second window, presses the "Done" button, and the information is transfered into the main window. The problem I am having is opening the second window. I have both windows build in xaml files in Visual Studio but I can't find a way to show the second window. Using "Window window = new Window" does not fit my needs because 1) I already have the second window built and 2) I have tried this and I cannot figure out how to add children to the window; there is no window.children nor any grid to put the children into. • aspx page gives viewstate error

  Hi, I have a simple aspx page with one grid view. When deployed on server, and accessed through that machine, it works fine. However, when connected through load balancer, we get this error ( when click on any button). The page however refreshes when pressed F5. Validation of viewstate MAC failed. If this application is hosted by a Web Farm or cluster, ensure that <machineKey> configuration specifies the same validationKey and validation algorithm. AutoGenerate cannot be used in a cluster. Any idea what is happening here???

• tiled images in swing

  I have task to prepare two windows with swing. One contains grid of squares, with random numbers in them. In second I need to load pieces of tiled image and then show them in the correct order, forming tiled image. I've used swing only few times to draw some 2d polylines, so basically I just theoretically now what to do. Ok, so window number 1: I start with creating Jframe for the window. Then I do for loop and in it create 16 JLabels with random numbers in them ? How to set margins between each tile and the whole window ? Window number 2 : So I start the same, but instead of loading numbers I add images ? Now, how can I load image from file and then set it as background ?

  I have a stupid question. I have created a workflow Designer host where I publish my own activities. I also have a property grid which only displays the properties decorated with a special attribute. This designer is going to be used by none IT staff. What I want is that on an activity the user can select a property value from a list. I know I just could create an Enum but I would like it to be dynamic. I.e. all events on a specific interface (extracted using reflection). Is this at all possible or am I stuck with enums?

• Sorting issues in flexigrid with "json" data

  I'm currently using flexigrid to display data in a current project, but am running into issues with its ability to properly sort certain columns that contain dates or numbers. The data is being sent from a ColdFusion CFC that selects the appropriate data and then delivers it in the proper "json" format. As the date/time stamps and other fields containing numbers are sent as "strings" they do not sort properly in the data grid. Is this a limitation of Flexigrid or am I sending the data improperly to Flexigrid? I can provide examples of my code if that is helpful.

  I'm working with Extjs 2.2.1 with Alfresco 3.2 enterprise. I would like to update the ticket that handles authentication to the alfresco server on components that have been loaded during login. This ticket expires after a set time and this is why I will need to update the ticket. Options that do not seem viable for me(but please let me know if I'm wrong): Reload the components to reload the call parameters - I can't do this because it resets whatever the user was previously working on (ie. Tree panel gets reloaded, grid filters reset, etc). The actual webpage never reloads as everything uses ajax calls to update things on the page. Create a global variable that stores the ticket and attach it as a call parameter with any ajax calls - Any components that were loaded during login will still use the original ticket to make calls to the server.

  I have a 3D data set representing a grid of photosensors which unfortunately were not steady during use. I have estimated the pdf for the motion of the detector and I want to find the expectation value for each sensor. As I don't want to reflect my pdf (i.e. I want f(t) not f(t-tau)) I don't think I can use the matlab convolve function. Is there a function that will do what I want. I guess f I've found movavg but it seems to do something else. Also, as I'm faily new to matlab, from C, I tend to use for loops which I'm aware is not the way to use Matlab. Is there an easy way to convert my 1-D pdf to a 3D matrix that will only operate in one axis (z in this case). Something like repmat(i, j, pdf)

Here is xaml from my View and code from my ViewModel <Button Grid.Column="0" Content="Clear" IsEnabled="False" cmd:ButtonBaseExtensions.Command="{Binding ClearCommand}" /> public RelayCommand ClearCommand { get { return new RelayCommand(() => MessageBox.Show("Clear Command")); } } Notice I hardcoded the IsEnabled="False" in my xaml. This value is completely ignored (button always enabled). I realize that RelayCommand have a CanExecute overload but I did want to use this as I want to do more than just have a disabled button.

• Take input through Buttons in java

  I understand that the title might not be descriptive enough, but I'm making a magic square game in Java and basically, I'm trying to replicate user input as found in the sudoku game here: http://www.websudoku.com/. What I have is a n x n grid of Buttons (not JButton) as the board and what I want the user to be able to do is when the user clicks on one of the buttons, similar to the game above, it allows the user to type in his guess in the button itself instead of popping up a dialog box with an input field of some sort. I don't know where to start, I am a beginner in Java (not very beginner, but my knowledge with the various Java APIs is very limited), so I'm trying to find out if this would be possible and if it is, how would I go about doing it? Now my requirement is,i need to disable few of the options in the combo boxes depending on the check box checked or unchecked for each individual rows... With the cod etaht i ahve tried,i am able to change teh values of teh combo boxes,but it changes for the whole column and not fro individual rows.. Please let me kneo how to determine the combo boxes for the corresponding check boxes in a particular row.

• Storing parameters from a graph and applying to other graphs

  I would like to store the xmin and xmax parameters from one geom_histogram and apply them to a second geom_histogram. I am putting both graphs on the same page using grid.arrange and would like them to have the same x range, while allowing the first graph to establish the range based on its data. The second graph is produced from a subset of the first graphs data, so it will not have data that falls outside of the x-range established by the first. But I don't want the range to shrink to fit the second graph.

  In my gridview after an insert operation has been done I am filtering the sqldatasource by ID. I am getting an error that the item drop down box selected value is not in the list. To test my theory I created a new sql data source with only the select statement and after the insert operation I am binding it to my grid view and filtering by Id and I get my result. The question Having a second data source is not the solution so is it possible that there is some way to use sqldatasource1? what I tried is sqldatasource.databind() and gridview.databind() on the inserted and inserting metheds in many test cases but still that doesnt work. I dont have any filters applied on the original data source?

• Right-click on a Listbox in a Silverlight 4 app.

  I am trying to implement what I used to take for granted in Winforms applications. I am a Silverlight noob, so hopefully all this is elementary. I have a listbox in a Silverlight 4 app. I'd like to do the following: Right-click on the listbox Have the item under the location where I click highlight itself I'd like a context menu to popup (with my own items in the context menu) From my research so far, it appears that there is no ContextMenu construct in Silverlight, instead we have to build up a Grid/Canvas structure and attach it to a Popup object, which is what is then popped up. My questions are as follows: To accomplish #2, I need some kind of hit test on the listbox. I can't figure out how to do that and my google-fu isn't helping. Once I do identify the index under the mouse, how do I actually select the item? Is there a reusable Context menu component somewhere that I can use? Extra credit if the component allows arbitrary sub-menus.

  I have a grid layout that holds a limited 6 items per screen. This set number is just a base for the app and make it look and feel better so it must stay set to that. To get passed this and to add some flash to the app, I want to animate a style of screen change. For instance, when a finger is dragged left, push the current view to the side and bring the next it, very similar to how a gallery does it, except I would like it to be able to scroll vertical as well. • DropDownList always does full-page postback, the first time it fires.

  I have an ASP.NET page using the AJAX library. There is a dropdownlist inside an UpdatePanel, which on index changing is supposed to update a different UpdatePanel to modify a grid control. But after the page first comes up, and you adjust the ddl, the entire page postbacks, followed by a (correct) partial postback. After this one time, every other usage of the ddl performs correctly, trigger partial postbacks. Both the panel and the ddl are being added from code. The UP is Conditional updates and ChildrenAsTriggers = true. The dropdownlist is AutoPostBack true and has an event set up on SelectedIndexChanged. So what is going on? I've tried adjusting every setting I can think of and still the page completely refreshes once, then works fine after that.

  Hello. I am designing a 960px wide layout with an unordered list. Each list item is 240px wide, so 4 list items fit horizontally in a row. I have about 20 rows on the page.... I want every other list item to have a background of #ececec, so my css would be: ul li:nth-child(2n+2){ background-color:#ececec; } This works. The only problem is because there are 4 items in a row (an even #), the next row would be identical, thus rendering background colors on every 1st and 3rd list items in a row. This is not the effect I am looking to achieve. I want the background colors to alternate, creating a grid-like effect. What is the correct css to do so (think a checker board). Thanks!

Application: Updating an old .NET web app with a million pages and grids to have all the grids maintain their sort. I am also able to set its default value before adding for this i am using DataGrid_CellFormatting(object sender, DataGridViewCellFormattingEventArgs e) { if (colIndexWithDefaultValue.Count > 0) { if (colIndexWithDefaultValue.Contains(e.ColumnIndex)) { g_dataGridView.Rows[e.RowIndex].Cells[e.ColumnIndex].Value = colIndexWithDefaultValue[e.ColumnIndex]; } } } where colIndexWithDefaultValue is list of columns with its default value. It is able to show newly created column with default value. But values are getting set for currently visible rows. To set value for all rows i have to do scrolling. So, how do i overcome this problem...
