Once a result is available I used a callback function through VBA which update the result to the relevant cell which called the functions. I want to update the progress bar of my client to show progress after each chunk is uploaded. The calculations for upload progress look correct but the progress bar is not updated.   • How do I call up values in PHP for user input in forms (radio buttons and selects)

    Ok so my admin sets to edit a book which was created. I know how to bring in the values that were initially entered via a simple text field like 'bookname'. On the edit book page the book name field stores the currently assigned 'bookname' in the field (which is what I want! :) ) However I have other field types like selects and radio button entries...I'm having trouble calling in the already set value when the book was created. For example, there is a 'booklevel' field, which I have set as radio button entries as; Hard, Normal, and Easy. When the user goes to edit the book, I'm not too sure on how to have the current value drawn up (its stored as text) and the radio button being checked. I.e. 'Normal' is checked if this is what was set when the book was created. I have the drop down select field display the currently set user (to read the book!), however, the drop down menu again displays the user in the list available options to select - basically meaning 2 of the same names appear in the list! Is there a way to eliminate the value of the SELECTED option?   • Oracle 11gR2: NLS_CHARACTERSET accidentally removed with an UPDATE-Query

    Hi folks, I have a fresh installation of Oracle 11gr2_x64 on CentOS. After the installation I wanted to get productive and started to import my dumps. One of the dumps caused characterset error so I tried to change the systems character-set to the one specified in the dump. I ran a statement like this: UPDATE nls_database_parameters SET parameter='WS....' WHERE parameter=’NLS_CHARACTERSET’; As you can see: I have written the value of the character-set in the parameter column instead of the value column. I guess I was just too much thinking about the problem instead of checking what I am typing there. After the query the parameter "NLS_CHARACTERSET" is gone and the server reports that the characterset is "(null)". I want to put the "NLS_CHARACTERSET" paramater back in the table but don't know how. If I try to do something like this INSERT INTO nls_database_parameters (PARAMETERS, VALUE) VALUES ("NLS_CHARACTERSET", "AL32UTF8"); I get the error: Fehler bei Befehlszeile:1 Spalte:84 Fehlerbericht: *Cause: SQL-Fehler: ORA-00984: Spalte hier nicht zulässig *Action: 00984. 00000 - "column not allowed here" Sorry that the error message is in German but it contains the Oracle error code.   • Dropbox failing to update?

    I have two PC's at home. One XP the other Windows 7-64bit. I have a word document that I edit on either PC - to enable this I have the file stored in a Dropbox folder. This usually works fine - but sometimes I find that the file does not get updated on my windows7 PC. I.e. I edit the file on my Windows XP machine, then go to my Windows 7 PC and see that there is a previous, old, datestamp on the file and sure enough if I open up the file to have a look, I see that the latest edits are not included. If I right-click on the file and select "Browse on Dropbox website" I see that the latest file is correctly there. Surely there must be some option to say please update this file - but can find no such thing. Has something gone wrong? I should point out that my wireless internet connection is a little intermittent - could this have caused some glitch? By the way I do not leave the old file open in word on my Windows-7 PC as I can well imagine that would cause trouble. Also I should mention that the icon on the document has the little green tick on it showing that Dropbox is not in the process of doing a transfer. Also the Dropbox icon in my system tray also has the green tick - so Dropbox is not busy transferring some other file(s). If I hover the mouse over the Dropbox icon I get the tooltip "All files up to date".

    I am currently setting a Virtual Machine for development purposes. I did a big part of this configuration under Wheezy, but I need some debs that were available only on Jessie. So, I've updated the sources.list and did a dist-upgrade. Everything went well, but after the reboot, I noticed that I lost all the networking. Repositories are unreachable, as well as a simple ping google.fr returns nothing. What can I do to quickly restore networking so that I can continue my working. After many, many tries I managed to get them downloaded, but then in the middle of installing them, it froze. Completely. No mouse movement, no blinking lights, no nothing. After a few hours of letting it sit there, I finally hit the power button to do a hard reset, and now when I select Ubuntu on the boot screen (Dual-boot with Windows 7), I get a blank purple screen, and then nothing. Another freeze. I've tried getting into the console, but no command I input has any visible effect. I have a ton of music stored on the partition it's in, so I'd really rather not have to reinstall. My specs, to the best of my knowledge: Clevo Corp model B7130 (Sager custom) CPU: Intel Core i5 @ 2.53gHz (4 CPUs) Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 425m 4096 MB RAM Drivers: Whatever comes with the download of 12.04. As a side-note, I installed Ubuntu via the Windows Installer program (wubi). Does that make a difference?

  • Update git on mac

    I can't remember how I installed git a while back....but now it's living in /usr/bin/git and needs to be updated. I don't care how (pre-compiled or build my own) but what I don't want is another version existing somewhere else. i vaguely remember curl(ing) down the source & compiling it. but not positive. anyway, what's the easiest way to keep Git up-to-date under Mac OS X? Side question: I'm not that familiar with git. once it's installed is it ENTIRELY contained within its directory? so, in my case, everything about git on my machine (excluding the actual code repositories of course) is in /usr/bin/git/ ? If so then can I just move git around with a simple mv -R /usr/bin/git /opt/git? Then update my $PATH and everything should work as before? if so then i supposed i could just install again by any method and to any directory...and then move the new one into /usr/bin replacing the old version?!? Or is this bad?

  • Windows Server 2003 DC hangs after network drivers update

    Earlier today, we attempted to update the Broadcom BCM5716C network drivers on a Windows Server 2003. (Dell PowerEdge T310, FWIW). Since then we have not been able to boot the server in any normal mode. Safe Mode works. Safe Mode with Networking and regular bootups hang at "Applying Network Settings." I haven't tried Last Known Good Configuration nor have I tried Directory Services Restore Mode. I should also mention that the longest I've allowed "Applying Network Settings" was perhaps 30 minutes. I spoke to Dell since the server is under a basic warranty. They sent me the original Broadcom drivers. The trouble seems to be, however, that since I can only boot in Safe Mode, I can't install the application package as given. In safe mode, I receive the error: "The system administrator has set policies to prohibit this installation." I can install the drivers independently, but that doesn't allow the NICs to work. The most I've been able to get are Code 10 errors on each NIC. I plan to get back to the site tomorrow to attempt installation of a different NIC. I'm wondering what else I can try.

  • Why can't I get rid of default index.html even if I disable the default virtual host in Apache2?

    I have created a virtual host settings file and I disabled the default settings by using a2dissite default (this is a pretty standard Ubuntu 10.04 installation). But no matter what I try my Apache2 server simply keeps on displaying the default index.html page instead of the index.php page that I set up in the virtual host file. Can someone help me what I'm missing.     Hi! I happen to run into various problems regarding grub and kernels. I don't really care about the kernel internas. All I want is VMware server in that dedicated root-server. 1.) Does anybody know what magical trick there is to get the 2.6.32-5 booting? 2.) I thought t follow the Deban wiki.. I cannot get header-files for the installed 35.6 or 33.2 kernel in the repositories. I cannot build foreign headers because they will not match the running kernel. So how does one deal with that situtation? I'd prefer not to have to downgrade the kernel. Thanks for any answers!

    There was a way to register URL protocol handlers with Gconf, which is now obsolete and there seems to be no way to do the same with DConf (or Gsettings, its recommended wrapper). How do one properly register an URL protocol handlers since DConf? Additionally, something looks strange to me (as I don't understand it), on my Ubuntu 12.04 The protocol apt:// should be handled by the apturl command. It is so with my Opera browser, but only because I added this specific association using the browser's configuration facility. Otherwise, in the rest of the environment: Running xdg-open apt://foo.bar opens elinks (my www-browser alternative). Running gnome-open apt://foo.bar opens the Software?Center. Opening gcong-editor, I see a key /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/apt whose value is apturl "%s" and its enable. This configuration seems to be ignored, which is reasonably expected, as GConf is considered obsolete. Opening dconf-editor, I can't see anything related to URL handlers or protocols in /desktop/gnome It looks a bit messy to my eyes (just teasing with this wording, nothing bad) What's underneath? Side note: I'm looking for something which preferably works even when the full desktop environment is not loaded, like when running an i3wm session with only gsettings-daemon (and other stuffs unrelated to this case) is loaded. Update Another way to “register” a protocol handler is with *.desktop files and their MIME-Type; ex. MimeType=application/<the-protocol>;. May be there is something special with desktop files specifying x-scheme-handler MIME type and they are not handled the usual way. The desktop-file way does not answer the question.
