  • PHP Trasnlate HTML page using google translate

    Afternoon, Bit of a tricky question this one, I have a website and need to translate the pages into french, I am using google translate API to do the translation. What I am doing is loading in the HTML templates into a string using PHP and then need to translate the text copy on the pages and then save as for example: fr_master_header.html de_master_header.html The problem I have is identifying the text copy on the page ignoring the HTML, replacing the copy in the extact place and then saving the file with the HTML tags and trasnlated text copy.     I want to retrieve the text that the user has typed into the currently visible address bar, using Javascript. This is for google chrome only. Is this possible? I know you can get the document URL via window.location.href, but I am unable to locate any javascript pertaining to current code inside the address bar/omnibar. Thank you for the help!

I would like to do it in c# . I think this involves hooking in the keyboard and sending keys (like sendkey in vb) to the current window.

  • Google analytics event tracking not working.

    I have this code setup to track image downloads throught Google Analytics. <a href="/media/37768/CC20100117m001_thumb_2000.jpg" onclick="pageTracker._trackEvent('Image', 'Download', 'file.jpg');" class="hi-res track"> Hi-Res</a> But the events don't ever show up in the GA reports. I thought maybe the the browser was following the link before the javascript was being run but setting href="#" doesn't work either. Any ideas?

    I'm trying to display a Google Map inside a drupal page. The map will only have the business location marker on it, with no need for a user to submitted their own markers. So far I've loaded the Gmap, Location, and CCK modules. I've attempted to enable a location field for Page content types, which allows me to input an address, but this doesn't display the actual map. I'm sure I'm missing something simple here. Any help?

  • overriding big popup on directions Google Maps

    I've happily implemented v2 of Google maps to my site without a hitch, I also successfully perform a drive directions using GDirections.load(). What I need to do is stop the popup of the mini map when you select a particular step in the routing directions. So when the user clicks on say "step 3", instead of the default popup showing a mini map, I'd like to add a custom icon to that position. Hope it makes sense Thanks in advance guys.

  • Google Chrome extension: Use Javascript inside webkit notifications?

    I have been following the Google Chrome Extensions Developer's guide and have been able so far to create an extension with a browser action without popup that would trigger a webkit notification in HTML format. Fact is that this HTML file contains action buttons, links and javascript, but none of them seems to respond. Is this a by-design behavior or is there a way for embedding javascript/links/buttons in these webkit notifications?
