  • uploading zip files in codeigniter won't work

    I have created a helper that requires some parameters and should upload a file, the function works for images however not for zip files.   • XML RSS to HTML parser doesn't work

    I'm using MCX (I don't even know if someone here is familiar with it, pretty unkown derivate of COBOL and Fortran, look it up in google when you don't believe me) Note: I'm using MCX on the MCX-WebServices server as it does neither support apache or ISS, mabye that is one problem. The thing is that I want to use the XML library to read in an XML file and convert it into an output format readable by the user.   • NHibernate - does it work well with database-level cascading deletions on foreign key constraints

    Dose nHibernate play well with database level cascading deletions? What I mean is that if I have a constraint set at the RDBMS level to cascade delete all orphans, will nHibernate invoke any custom delete logic at the application level if I were to delete an entity though nHibernate? Or should I remove the cascading deletions from the RDBMS level and just use the cascading delete feature of nHibernate itself by defining that behavior though its configuration? Thanks

  • Why doesn't javascript function aliasing work?

    I have some Firebug console function calls that I wanted to disable when Firebug wasn't enabled, e.g. console isn't defined. This works fine in IE6 and FF3, but not in Chrome: var log; if(console){ log = console.log; }else{ log = function(){ return; } } I get an "Uncaught TypeError: Illegal Invocation" in Chrome =/ I read about the issue here, where you have to apply a context, which is kind of new to me... and I can't seem to figure how to accomplish the above in all browsers...

    I don't understand: how are webserver and trackers like Google Analytics able to track referrals? Is it part of HTTP? Is it some (un)specified behavior of the browsers? Apparently every time you click on a link on a web page, the original web page is passed along the request. What is the exact mechanism behind that? Is it specified by some spec? I've read a few docs and I've played with my own Tomcat server and my own Google Analytics account, but I don't understand how the "magic" happens. Bonus (totally related) question: if, on my own website (served by Tomcat), I put a link to another site, does the other site see my website as the "referrer" without me doing anything special in Tomcat?

  • Java Iterators - Trying to get a for each loop to work

    So I have a Tree<E> class where E is the datatype held and organized by the tree. I'd like to iterate through the Tree like this, or in a way similar to this: 1. Tree<String> tree=new Tree<String>(); 2. ...add some nodes... 3. for (String s : tree) 4. System.out.println(s); It gives me an error on line 3 though. Incompatible types required: java.lang.String found: java.lang.Object The following works fine and as expected though, performing a proper in-order traversal of the tree and printing each node out as it should: for (TreeIterator<String> i = tree.iterator(); i.hasNext(); ) System.out.println(i.next()); Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Do you need to see more of the code?

    Hello everybody In my App I'm trying to get PSMTabBarControl working, but all I do - nothing... I have copied the framework File in my Frameworks folder of my App, then included it. In my InterfaceBuilder (1.3.2) I was able to drag and drop the PSMTabBarControl to my Window and link it with the NSTabView (PSM - tabView - NSTabView && NSTabView - delegate - PSM), but after i tried a Demo (apple+r) I cant see the Tabs... Tried all I can - but dont know why.. Am I doing sth. wrong? Which other Framework or Source I can use to create Tabs like Firefox oder Safari? Thank you!

    I'm tring to customize error rendering in my form according to this example. Here is my code: if ($this['message']->hasError()) { $error_msg = '<ul>'; foreach ($this['message']->getError() as $error) $error_msg .= "<li>$error</li>"; $error_msg .= '</ul>'; } return $error_msg; but when $this['message'] has error this code returns '<ul></ul>' so it seems foreach ($this['message']->getError() as $error) causes no iterations $this['message']->getError() returns sfValidatorError object - maybe something changed in symfony 1.4 and it isn't iterable anymore... At first I thought that all magic in that example happened because of object being placed in $error by iteration implements __toString() but it seems no iterations happens at all...

It tells me that "test1.tx" does not exist even though the file exists and its size is 498 bytes. If I try with Ftp.ListDirectory it tells me that the file does not exist. If I try with Ftp.GetFileSize it does not provide any results and the debugger's immediate gives me the following message: A first chance exception of type 'System.Net.WebException' occurred in System.dll. Using "request.UseBinary = true" does not make any difference.   • Retrieving Gtk::Widget's relative position: get_allocation() doesn't work

    I need to retrieve the position of a Gtk::Widget relative to its parent, a Gtk::Table. Most sources (e.g. http://library.gnome.org/devel/gtk-faq/stable/x642.html) say that one needs to call Gtk::Widget::get_allocation(). However, the returned Gtk::Allocation object always contains x = -1, y = -1, width = 1, height = 1. I have to note that this happens before the Gtk::Table object is actually exposed and rendered. A call to show_all_children() or check_resize(), which I would expect to recalculate child widget geometry, doesn't help. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

  • Drawing a bitmap in a canvas after calling setBitmap doesn't work

    I'm drawing a bitmap in a canvas and i want to have the result in a new bitmap, but i still have a black screen as result. This is my code, part of the onDraw(Canvas canvas) method : if (bitmapTemplate == null) { canvasBis = new Canvas(); bitmapTemplate = Bitmap.createBitmap(canvas.getWidth()+30,canvas.getHeight(),Bitmap.Config.ARGB_8888); drawZones(canvasBis,bitmapTemplate); } bitmapRes = Bitmap.createBitmap(canvas.getWidth()+30,canvas.getHeight(),Bitmap.Config.ARGB_8888); canvas.setBitmap(bitmapRes); canvas.drawBitmap(bitmapTemplate, matrix, null); My goal is to have a new bitmap (bitmapRes) by applying a matrix on an existing bitmap (bitmapTemplate). With this code i alway have a black screen, but when i remove the line canvas.setBitmap(bitmapRes) i have a result but not in a new bitmap. any ideas please ? Maybe transparency ?     Hi everyone, I am sending a file to my Java Servlet via jQuery Uploadify, there are no problems while sending the actual file. But when I try to send some scriptData with file along, to process on Servlet it just does not send anything.     I'm trying to write a background worker that processes a flowdocument. I can't access the properties of flowdocument objects because of the thread verification. I tried to serialize the document and loaded it on the worker thread which actually solved the thread verfication issue. However, once the processing is complete I also need to use things like TextPointer objects. Those objects now point to a objects in the copy not the original. Can anyone suggest the best way to approach such background processing in WPF?

I get down to step 3 where you are suppose to run the command: python setup.py py2exe I do that and then I get this error: 'python' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. I have python 2.4 installed on my machine. any idea's? I am sure it is something simple.

    I have a small OSX Cocoa app that just bring up an IKPicutreTaker and saves the picture to a file if one is set. I use applicationShouldTerminateAfterLastWindowClosed: to close the application when the pictureTaker is closed. This all works fine when I either set(this is done when you have picked the picture you want) or when you hit cancel, but when I click on the red arrow in the top left of the windows, the application does not quit when the window is closed this way. Is this intended functionality or am I doing something wrong (not setting some flag?). Also, is there some way to disable this button?

    I have a combobox inside a hidden div which I use css display = none to make it invisible, but when I make the div visible by setting display = block, the combobox just show the input and its button and ul list all have css as display = 'none', visibility ='hidden'. I can tell it is done by combobox inbuild javascript because I tried to use javascript to set the css manually with no luck. It is a bug of combobox. Urgent help needed. I spent a week to solve this, and our team put a lot trust on the toolkit. Please help me on this, all javascript gurus, thanks. Below is the code to reproduce the bug.   • cmake: Target-specific preprocessor definitions for CUDA targets seems not to work

    I'm using cmake 2.8.1 on Mac OSX 10.6 with CUDA 3.0. So I added a CUDA target which needs BLOCK_SIZE set to some number in order to compile. cuda_add_executable(SimpleTestsCUDA SimpleTests.cu BlockMatrix.cpp Matrix.cpp ) set_target_properties(SimpleTestsCUDA PROPERTIES COMPILE_FLAGS -DBLOCK_SIZE=3) When running make VERBOSE=1 I noticed that nvcc is invoked w/o -DBLOCK_SIZE=3, which results in an error, because BLOCK_SIZE is used in the code, but defined nowhere. Now I used the same definition for a CPU target (using add_executable(...)) and there it worked. So now the questions: How do I figure out what cmake does with the set_target_properties line if it points to a CUDA target? Googling around didn't help so far and a workaround would be cool..
