  Hello, We're trying to rewrite our current views from ERb to Liquid and we got following problem: we have a lot of render(:partial => '/path/to/partial') in our code, but we found absolutely no instructions how to render partials in Liquid. • Force CloudFront distribution/file update

  I'm using Amazon's CloudFront to serve static files of my web apps. Is there no way to tell a cloudfront distribution that it needs to refresh it's file or point out a single file that should be refreshed? Amazon recommend that you version your files like logo_1.gif, logo_2.gif and so on as a workaround for this problem but that seems like a pretty stupid solution. Is there absolutely no other way?

• jquery won't fade text if positioned: absolute;

  I have LI that I want to fade out and back in. Within the list item I have some text. This text is positioned absolutely within the LI. The catch is that in IE8 (IE6 and 7 seem fine) I can get everything to fade except the text: http://jsbin.com/esamu/13 If I remove the absolute positioning on the text element (in this case, a P), IE8 then can fade the text properly: http://jsbin.com/esamu/14 Anyone know why this is? Anyone know of a fix?

  Hi, I'm absolutely confused with how to create the customized QTextDocument. I have the widget QWidget, which consists of some QLabels, QTableWidgets and QWidgets and I want to print it . I decided to create the new QTextDocument and insert in it all the defined widgets. I have already tried QTextCursor-insertBlock and insertText but my problem is how to define QTextBlockFormat or QTextCharFormat and say it, what is its "content", how to insert the widget in it. • Error upgrading WSSF solution to VS 2010

  Hi I've recently installed VS2010 and I'm trying to upgrade a project that I created using VS2008 and WSSF (Web Service Software Factory). I've installed the 2010 version of WSSF and it's prerequisites. After upgrading, when I try to load the solution I get "blah.ssfproduct cannot be opened because its project type (.ssfproduct) is not supported by this version of the application".   I installed Python Mock module using PIP. When I try to import mock running under 'dev_appserver', GAE says that it can't find module 'mock'. import mock works perfectly in Python interpreter. I understand that dev_appserver behaves absolutely correctly because I can't install modules with PIP on GAE servers. My question is how technically dev_appserver filters list of modules that can be loaded?

• Can information encoded with a one time pad be distinguished from random noise?

  I understand that the cyphertext from a properly used one time pad cypher reveals absolutely no data about the encrypted message. Does this mean that there is no way to distinguish a message encrypted with a one time pad from completely random noise? Or is there some theoretical way to determine that there is a message, even though you can't learn anything about it?

  I have an situation where I get an NSDecimal, and I need an NSInteger. I do know it is a very small value (this is absolutely sure). It won't be bigger than 100. So It would be perfectly fine to cast it to NSInteger, no overflow would happen. How could this be done? There's just an -doubleValue method in NSDecimal.
