  I have following rewrite rule to append .aspx extension if url has no extension. <rule name="SimpleRewrite" stopProcessing="true"> <match url="^(.*(?&lt;=/)([^/.]*))$" /> <action type="Rewrite" url="{R:1}.aspx" /> </rule> However the rule is not working: Error HTTP 500.52 - URL Rewrite Module Error. The expression "^(.*(?<=/)([^/.]*))$" has an invalid syntax. However, this regular expression works in .NET. What regular expressions are supported by IIS Url Rewrite Module? How to make positive lookbehind assertion?

• Cufon JS is not loading

  I've developed a website in html/css and it works perfectly fine. Now I'm working with the coder, integrating this to a .NET framework, changing the website to .apsx instead of html, but during the build of the website, the only error that is marked is the load of Cufon , it simply can't load and the structure and syntax of all the commands are the same I used with the html site that actually works. There are no path problems so far. What do you guys think would be this problem ? Thank you for your kind help.

  I'm looking for a template engine. Requirements: Runs on a JVM. Java is good; Jython, JRuby and the like, too... Can be used outside of servlets (unlike JSP) Is flexible wrt. to where the templates are stored (JSP and a lot of people require the templates to be stored in the FS). It should provide a template loading interface which one can implement or something like that Easy inclusion of parameterized templates- I really like JSP's tag fragments Good docs, nice code, etc., the usual suspects I've looked at JSP- it's nearly perfect except for the servlet and filesystem coupling, Stringtemplate- I love the template syntax, but it fails on the filesystem coupling, the documentation is lacking and template groups and stuff are confusing, GXP, TAL, etc. Ideas, thoughts? • How is Entity Framework 4's POCO support compared to NHibernate?

  Just wondering if anyone has had any experience using Entity Framework 4's POCO support and how it stands up compared to NHibernate. If they're the same, I'd be very interested in making Entity Framework 4 my ORM of choice if only because it would: Support both data first AND object first development Have a robust LINQ provider Be easier to pitch to clients (since it's developed by Microsoft) Come baked into the .NET framework rather than requiring 8 dlls to get up and running In other words, are there any major shortcomings to EF4? Does it support all of the basic functionality NHibernate supports (lazy-loading, eager-loading, 1st level caching, etc.) or is it still rough around the edges? Is the syntax for setting up the mappings as easy as NHibernate and/or Fluent NHibernate? Edit: Please don't bring up the vote of no confidence. That was ages ago and dealt with some serious shortcomings of EF1 that really don't seem to apply anymore to EF4.

  Can you validate just a single property with the Fluent Validation Library, and if so how? I thought this discussion thread from January of 2009 showed me how to do it via the following syntax: validator.Validate(new Person(), x => x.Surname); Unfortunately it doesn't appear this works in the current version of the library. One other thing that led me to believe that validating a single property might be possible is the following quote from Jeremy Skinners' blog post: "Finally, I added the ability to be able to execute some of FluentValidation’s Property Validators without needing to validate the entire object. This means it is now possible to stop the default “A value was required” message from being added to ModelState. " However I do not know if that necessarily means it supports just validating a single property or the fact that you can tell the validation library to stop validating after the first validation error.

• emacs elisp buffer not running font lock mode until opened by user

  My problem is I am opening a buffer using (set-buffer (find-tag-noselect (current-word))) and then I try to copy some text out of that buffer. The text that I get back has only the properties (fontified nil). find-tag-noselect automatically opens the buffer found in the TAGS file but it seems it does not run the font lock mode over it. When I manually switch to this buffer after it has been opened and then run the function again when it copies the text it has all the correct text properties attached. So what do I need to do to have this buffer completely initialized so that the correct syntax highlighting will be copied in?

• My simple PHP is outputting wrong things.

  EDIT: I forgot to add semi colons. Now there is another problems.   Hello, I am trying to build JSON from two fields. Say, I have a list of object(party), and I only need to pass 2 items as JSON pair. def list = getMyList() //it contains 2 party objects partyTo = array { for (i in list) { x partyId: i.id y partyName: i.toString() } } The JSON string is {"partyTo":[ {"partyId":12}, {"partyName":"Ar"}, {"partyId":9}, {"partyName":"Sr"} ] } when I extract it at the client, it is treated as 4 objects. I wanted as 2 objects, with the below format. {"partyTo":[ {"partyId":12 , "partyName":"Ar"}, {"partyId":9 , "partyName":"Sr"} ] } I'm getting 4 objects, probably because I use an array to build JSON. I'm new to groovy and JSON, so not sure about the right syntax combinations. Any help highly appreciated. thanks.

• Problem copying files through xcopy using VBScript

  I am using VBScript to copy files using xcopy. The problem is that the folder path has to be entered by the user. Assuming I put that path in a variable, say h, how do I use this variable in the xcopy command? Here is the code I tried: Dim WshShell, oExec, g, h h = "D:\newfolder" g = "xcopy $h D:\y\ /E" Set WshShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell") Set oExec = WshShell.Exec(g) I also tried &h but it did not work.   I have an email script written in .Net that sends html emails. The email uses normal html hyperlinks to insert a link in the email, like this: <a href="http://www.stackoverflow.com/">StackOverflow</a> The problem is that in Entourage, a hyperlink like this always shows up for me like this: StackOverflow < http://www.stackoverflow.com/ > How can I format the hyperlink in my email so that in Entourage the text "StackOverflow" is the actual hyperlink, and the URL is not displayed after the text? Is there an html meta tag that needs to be set? Do I have to set the content-type somewhere? Or is there a different html syntax on the hyperlink itself that I should use?

  Hi, I am trying to extend Visual Studio 2010 RC to be able to use a custom programming language. The first two things I've tried to do is a syntax highlight/Intellisense feature (easily done, thanks to "Ook!" sample from PDC09) and a possibility to create new project templates (i.e. be able to open *.myproj files). For this second task, I can't find any easy tutorials or samples. Most samples are for Visual Studio 2008 (as for IronPython integration) or even VS2003. The few samples available for VS2010 do not work (including MPFProj) or do not compile, and are too hard to understand. Is there any easy-to-understand sample, either using MPFProj or a standalone solution, showing how to integrate templates for a custom language inside Visual Studio 2010?

  I've been trying to convert my aspx pages to cshtml and having an issue with rendering partial pages from another folder. What I used to do: <% Html.RenderPartial("~/Views/Inquiry/InquiryList.ascx", Model.InquiryList.OrderBy("InquiryId", MvcContrib.Sorting.SortDirection.Descending));%> I would think that the equivalent would be: @Html.RenderPartial("~/Views/Inquiry/_InquiryList.cshtml", Model.InquiryList.OrderBy("InquiryId", MvcContrib.Sorting.SortDirection.Descending)) This is obviously not working, I am getting the following error. CS1973: 'System.Web.Mvc.HtmlHelper' has no applicable method named 'Partial' but appears to have an extension method by that name. Extension methods cannot be dynamically dispatched. Consider casting the dynamic arguments or calling the extension method without the extension method syntax. How would I achieve this with using the Razor view engine?

If I replace the LIKE with something such as: SELECT col1, col2 FROM table1 t1 JOIN table2 t2 ON t1.cityid = t2.cityid where t1.cityname = ? order by t1.cityname It works fine. I do open/close the DB before after the above code. Is there a way to troubleshoot exactly why the database can't be opened and what its relationship to my LIKE syntax is?

• Compile C# into objective-C

  Now that monotouch is being banned, I was wondering if there is a way to translate C# (or some other modern language for that matter) into objective-C? I won't mind using apple's api as long as I don't have to declare my variables in 3-4 stages (ivar-property-synthesize-dealloc). All I want is a less wordy language to concentrate on my intent and not on the compiler syntax. unfortunately apple in its arrogance thinks objective-c is a "modern" language and if you are looking for an alternative (monotouch) it's because you are incapable of coding. also if you don't find programming in itunes; sorry, xcode enjoyable, it is not because there are better alternatives, it's because you are stupid. anyway back to my original question: can it be done?

  I'm currently shopping for a FOSS parser generator for a project of mine. It has to support either C or C++. I've looked at bison/flex and at boost::spirit. I went from writing my own to spirit to bison to spirit to bison to spirit, each time hit by some feature I found unpleasant. The thing I hate most about bison/flex is that they actually generate C/C++ source for you. There are a number of disadvantages to this, e.g. debugging. I like spirit from this point of view, but I find it very very heavy on syntax. I am curious about what you are using, what you would recommend, and general thoughts about the state of the art in parser generators. I am also curious to hear about approaches being used in other languages for parsing problems.

• Cloning a read-write github repository using TortoiseHg

  I'm trying to clone my personal fork on github using the git+ssh protocol with TortoiseHg. It's giving me a rather strange error. Here is the command hg clone git+ssh//[email protected]:myusername/thefork.git This is after I have installed the hg-git module and it works just fine to clone using the git:// syntax. But I believe it's having trouble with the ssh. The error I'm getting is this. importing Hg objects into Git [Error 2] The system cannot find the file specified I have tried adding manually the ssh command into the mercurial.ini file like this [ui] username = [email protected] ssh="C:\Program Files\TortoiseHg\TortoisePlink.exe" -ssh -2 -i "C:\Source\SSHPrivateKey.ppk" But I still get the same error. Any ideas? Thanks.

• Best way to implement a Parsing/Editable Richtextbox in WPF

  I'm trying to implement (as a prototype initially), a richtextbox control which can be parsed in real time to apply certain formatting options to it. This is being done in WPF so I thought the best way to go about it would be to extend the existing rich text box control. I've run into the issue where it isn't documented well and the examples are quite slow (the ones I found have parse the whole document on every keystroke). The way I've currently decided to go about it is to create a custom Inline element which can hold the formatting tags, and the contents. Hence I only have to parse the current paragraph and the runs in that paragraph for formatting tags. Is there a better way to achieve this? Note this isn't for code/syntax based documents (so AvalonEdit isn't appropriate). Cheers
