  • Asus K55A Windows 8.1 touchpad smart gestures not working

    Took me a bit to realize that since upgrading to 8.1 my touchpad smart gestures (two finger scroll, top down swipe, left in swipe, ect) don't work. I have read up a little online but can't seem to find an answer or fix that 1) sounds trustworthy and 2) is put into language and steps that I understand. I already have a hard time navigating windows 8 in general, so any help is awesome, but please dumb it down for me if you can. Thanks -K-

I would like to bounce back to the SERVER1 all the direct requests that are sent to SERVER2, but keep the ones from the load balancing. So this should forbid direct access to SERVER2:8082 and redirect to SERVER1:80 .

Like most kids, he's proficient with Google, YouTube, and Minecraft, but he's very curious, and I would like to teach him more. Even some basic excercises, like working with the file system would be good for him (i would need some help to not make it boring).

  • Add an Excel file as a linked server in SQL 2012

    I'm trying to add a linked server to an Excel 2010 file from SQL Server 2012. Every reference I've found online for doing this is using older versions of SQL Server, and the driver that they tell you to use 'Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0', is not present in 2012 from what I can tell. Can anyone tell me which provider I need to use and what the product name, data source, and provider string should be? For reference, this is the screen I'm looking at: Thanks.

    Usually I just use the online tools for url mod_rewrite rules but this just wouldn't work. Dynamic url: http://sub.domain.com/index.php?page=index&name=test Rewritten url: http://sub.domain.com/test OR http://sub.domain.com/test/ My htaccess: RewriteRule ^([^/]+)/?$ index.php?page=index&name=$1 [L] Instead of passing "test" for the variable name, I always get the value "index.php" Anyone gurus has have any idea?

  • Slow and unresponssive network

    Ive have the Nokia N900 mobile phone (running Maemo linux), and my device is really slow while using the wifi and trying to get stuff online (checking mail, loading pages). The webbrowsers itself (MicroB, Firefox, Opera) starts fast. Yesterday ive tried to set the dns to googles but that did not solve the case. Is there, and how do i check/verify my connection to the internet if im connected to my home wifi in linux? (tools, other then ping :D)

For what I need, Tor seems to do the job – but such software requires configuration that someone who is not knowledgeable in how it works might find difficult. I was looking at 'Lightweight portable security' but it does not specify whether it sends all traffic through Tor. Does anyone know more information about it and/or any other such live Linux distro?

Downloading the standalone installer yields exceptions at the end of the installation process.   • pidgin: how to make it log logins/logouts of an ICQ buddy if the conversation tab is still open

    Hello, when pidgin was called gaim and you had opened a tab with am ICQ buddy, all his logins and logouts were logged during the time you had that tab open. It didnt' even matter if your buddy was online before you opened the tab with him. In pidgin 2.6.6, I this behavior can no longer be observed and I cannot find an option in the preferences or buddy context menu to enable it. How do I restore that behavior from gaim time? Thanks!

I know SSL includes a nonce, but does it remain constant for the duration of the connection or does it change after each request/response cycle?

If I install a virtual machine (VirtualBox) to test, and it does get infected with viruses, will it also infect my host system? Will this processor work on the 755 motherboard? Edit: After reading further result online, I think I may have been fed some mis-information. According to this thread the XPS comes with socket LGA 755 but on other sites it says that it comes with LGA 775...

    From what I can tell this is recent error that has started to occur on my localserver: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10048). My site will work for a while then it will randomly throw this error then start working again. Any advice on how to fix this? I have searched online and most people claim that it is a windows based error which needs a registry fix but I wanted to see if anyone else has encountered this issue and has any better advice? The question is how do I bring up all the Apps in farm via TCP/IP. The Citrix online plugin does not allow the same access as Program Neighborhood did to farms. Please help.

    I have photoshop 5.5 working just fine under windows vista, I upgraded my PC to windows 7 and when I start photoshop 5.5 it just hangs. I see the main screen open but nothing happens and I just get the busy sign out of the mouse pointer, with Photoshop not completing the start. I searched online and some reported the same issue and were able to solve the issue by deleting Photoshop setting or preference file. I did that, but still the issue is present.
