• Certain transformations in Open Inventor(Coin3D)

  Hi, I am quite new to Open Inventor(Coin3D) and have the following problem: I have a SoSelection holding a root node(also SoSeparator). And the root node holds a number of SoSeparator nodes. Each of these SoSeparator nodes holds a SoTransform node and a SoCube node. When I select one cube node I want all other cubes within a certain distance to the selected cube to arrange in a circle arround the selected cube. (Moreover all of the cubes should be on a plane than) An additional information: My cubes are always oriented in the camera direction with (cubeTransform_-rotation.connectFrom(&camera_-orientation) Assuming the selected cube is the center of the circle, how do I translate the other cubes in a circle on a plane(perpendicular to the vector between the selected cube and the camera)? Especially how do I find coordinates on the plain on which the circle should be which have a certain distance from the Axis (from center cube to camera). What I already did is to search for the for all cubes within a certain distance as soon as one cube is selected. As a result I already have the required separators (which are holding the according SoTransforms and SoCubes) in a SoPathList. Now I want to arrange the cubes by modifing the according SoTransform-translation values. Regards Mark

• CKEditor instance in a jQuery dialog

  Hey, I am using jQuery to open a dialog window with a textarea transformed into an instance of CKEditor. I'm using the jQuery adapter provided by the CKEditor team but when the dialog window opens up I cannot interact with the editor (it's created but "null" is written in the content space and I can't click on anything or modify the content). This bug report seems to say that by using a patch provided the issue is fixed but it doesn't seem to be working for me... • 2D Ball Collisions with Corners

  I'm trying to write a 2D simulation of a ball that bounces off of fixed vertical and horizontal walls. Simulating collisions with the faces of the walls was pretty simple--just negate the X-velocity for a vertical wall or the Y-velocity for a horizontal wall. The problem is that the ball can also collide with the corners of the walls, where a horizontal wall meets with a vertical wall. I have already figured out how to detect when a collision with a corner is occurring. My question is how the ball should react to this collision--that is, how its X and Y velocities will change as a result. Here's a list of what I already know or know how to find: *The X and Y coordinates of the ball's center during the frame when a collision is detected *The X and Y components of the ball's velocity *The X and Y coordinates of the corner *The angle between the ball's center and the corner *The angle in which the ball is traveling just before the collision *The amount that the ball is overlapping the corner when the collision is detected I'm guessing that it's best to pretend that the corner is an infinitely small circle, so I can treat a collision between the ball and that circle as if the ball were colliding with a wall that runs tangent to the circles at the point of collision. It seems to me that all I need to do is rotate the coordinate system to line up with this imaginary wall, reverse the X component of the ball's velocity under this system, and rotate the coordinates back to the original system. The problem is that I have no idea how to program this. By the way, this is an ideal simulation. I'm not taking anything like friction or the ball's rotation into account. I'm using Objective-C, but I'd really just like a general algorithm or some advice. Many thanks if anyone can help!

• How to specify selector when CAKeyframeAnimation is finished?

  I'm using a CAKeyframeAnimation to animate a view along a CGPath. When the animation is done, I'd like to be able to call some other method to perform another action. Is there a good way to do this? I've looked at using UIView's setAnimationDidStopSelector:, however from the docs this looks like it only applies when used within a UIView animation block (beginAnimations and commitAnimations). I also gave it a try just in case, but it doesn't seem to work. I tried /Regular price.+(\d[^\s]+)\sUSD/is but it's not working, it's returning '00'. Obviously I'm a newbie at regex and I'm hoping to get by without picking up a book. And I HAVE to use regex to parse this HTML because that particular site was designed by someone who doesn't know about classes or IDs.

I'd rather fix the CSS to make it show correctly.

  Hi guys, i'm trying to make a "update user's power" page. It is something similar to those you can find in say, invisionfree forums. I need it to generate a list of members with checkbox [done] Add an option for it [done] What i don't know how to do is to update, to say, give all the selected users the selected power. Then i went searching for something and found most of them uses array to do this, but i never found one that actually explains how it works.   After adding in the WidgetsInTemplateMixin, I am receiving an error dest.appendChild is not a function In the documentation, it claims that there will be an error if this.containerNode is not able to contain any child objects. However, I have marked the containerNode attachment point for a div with dojo type "dijit/layout/ContentPane". Can anyone explain to me why this isn't working?   I am attempting to have a ListBox of TextBoxes with click events. I have read that one way to achieve this was to have a list of Buttons and call ButtonBase.Click="" on the ListBox. • IE8 CSS Table Effect

  I've been trying to make this cross browser (specifically IE), but I do not want to use tables. I will not be able to specify the container width with CSS because its contents (the image) will dynamically change with Javascript, so I need the container to 'auto-size' horizontally. The desired effect would be a centered image with two sets of text (one of the left and one of the left) directly underneath the image, aligned to it's inner edges. • Calculating bounding box a certain distance away from a lat/long coordinate in Java

  Given a coordinate (lat, long), I am trying to calculate a square bounding box that is a given distance (e.g. 50km) away from the coordinate. So as input I have lat, long and distance and as output I would like two coordinates; one being the south-west (bottom-left) corner and one being the north-east (top-right) corner. I have seen a couple of answers on here that try to address this question in Python, but I am looking for a Java implementation in particular. Just to be clear, I intend on using the algorithm on Earth only and so I don't need to accommodate a variable radius. It doesn't have to be hugely accurate (+/-20% is fine) and it'll only be used to calculate bounding boxes over small distances (no more than 150km). So I'm happy to sacrifice some accuracy for an efficient algorithm. Any help is much appreciated. Edit: I should have been clearer, I really am after a square, not a circle. I understand that the distance between the center of a square and various points along the square's perimeter is not a constant value like it is with a circle. I guess what I mean is a square where if you draw a line from the center to any one of the four points on the perimeter that results in a line perpendicular to a side of the perimeter, then those 4 lines have the same length.
