• Using MobileMe idisk as a git repository

  I am trying to use git and MobileMe as a version control system for a personal project I am working across several computers. So far i have done the following. Created and empty bare repository on my local computer $ mkdir myproject.git $ cd myproject.git $ git init --bare $ git update-server-info I then copied the myproject.git directory to the mobile me disk, and sync my computer with mobile me. I then switched to the directory where my project was on my local machine, set the remote origin and try to push the local repository to mobile me $ cd myproject $ git remote add origin https://<username>@idisk.me.com/<username>/myproject.git/ $ git push --all Im am then asked for my password twice. The first time is the mobile me password, any other password gets an error. After entering the second password, and believe me i've tried everything, terminal just hangs. So what am I doing wrong?   I have a custom attribute... [System.AttributeUsage(System.AttributeTargets.All)] public class Refactor : System.Attribute { private string _message; public Refactor() { _message = string.Empty; } public Refactor(string message) { _message = message; } } Applied to [Refactor("this should be less rubbish")] public virtual void RubbishMethod() { … } Now when someone makes a call to RubbishMethod I'd like the IDE (vs2008) to underline that call in a deep brown colour, similar to if I mark as Obsolete you get a green wave line. Is this possible? I've been racking my brain and hitting the google but I can't find how and where to do this.

• Send failed from rails server to download in the browser

  Hi everybody, I have a web application which has some multimedia files stored in a user protected area. To make this files available to logged in customers, I consider using the x-sendfile plugin. x_send_file(path, :type => 'application/pdf') It is just strange that every time I run this function a empty file gets sent to the browser download. I checked the path which is correct (app fails if I change it to a inexistent file). Actually if I use the rails internal send_file method, the same error occurs... Any help is appreciated! Markus

• VB Project Template for Monobjc in MonoDevelop?

  After installing Monobjc and playing around with the Monobjc Application Project under C# in MonoDevelop, I noticed that there is only an empty Monobjc project under the VB section. Obviously this template adds all the correct references but doesn't add the basic files for the application to run. I've tried creating a class with: Imports System Imports Monobjc Imports Monobjc.Cocoa Class Application Public Sub Main(Byval args() As String) ObjectiveCRuntime.LoadFramework("Cocoa") ObjectiveCRuntime.Initialize() End Sub End Class Obviously I'm not loading the NIB there either, as I haven't added that in either, but if I try to build this I get: /Source/VB_Sample/VB_Sample/<MyGenerator>(1,1): Error VBNC30420: Could not find a 'Sub Main' in ''. (VBNC30420) (VB_Sample) Where should I be putting the Sub Main? Also if I add in a xib file from IB, how do I generate the designer code for the partial AppDelegate class? Any help would be appreciated.

  I want to provide some template for a code generator I am developing. A typical pattern for class is : public ${class_type} ${class_name} extends ${super_class} implements ${interfaces} { ${class_body} } Problem is if super_class is blank or interfaces. I replace extends ${super_class} with empty string. But I get extra spaces. So a class with no super_class and interfaces end up like : public class Foo { //see the extra spaces before {? ${class_body} } I know I can replace multiple spaces with single, but is there any better approach?

  Hello , I using tdom version 0.8.2 to parse html pages. From the help pages I found the following commands to get the ElementById TCL code set html {<html> <head> </head> <body> <div id="m"> </div> </body> </html> } package require tdom set doc [ dom parse -html $html ] set node [ $doc getElementById m] But when I execute the second set command I get a empty string . • Adjusting sql statement in a function based upon input

  Hey there, This is a bit urgent! I'm trying to make a simple filter search where-by you can choose from a series of 3 drop downs and then based upon this the results are then displayed, How would I go about adjusting the sql query for each and if you were to only choose to search from aone of the 3 rather than all 3 etc... example there could be the url with input such as: url.com?location=gb&color=3&hair=4 and still form the correct sql query for something like this: url.com?location=gb&hair=1 and not encounter problems with WHERE and AND etc etc and empty variables in the statement Would this not need to be a massive function to check using if to see how the data is set for all possibilities?   I am using Linq to query my database and returning a generic IList. Whatever I tried I couldn't convert an IQueryable to an IList. Here is my code. • Why did the aspnet_client folder come back in ASP.NET 4?

  I recently upgraded my MVC 1 project (ASP.NET 3.5) to MVC 2 (ASP.NET 4). I noticed there is now a folder "aspnet_client\system_web\4_0_30319" under the site root. This folder is empty... I'm just wondering if anyone knows why it was created. I remember the aspnet_client folder from the days of .NET 1.1, but I thought it was obsoleted when .NET 2.0 came out. For example, see the answers in these two stackoverflow posts: What is the aspnet_client folder in my ASP.NET website? What is the aspnet_client folder for under the IIS structure? • ie8 playing funny with list-style-position: inside

  Ok, So problem here... when using list-style-position:inside in IE8 the first like is indented but every line after that is not. So the new lines appear under the bullet. This is fine, but when I use a list with that css applied with an a tag within the li then the text automatically gets pushed to the second line, and the first line is empty. When I remove the a tag from the li then it jumps back up. Any idea on why this might be or is this a bug in the ie8 world or do I just need to double check my css? Any insights would be much appreciated.

  How can I see which commits are actually going to be pushed to a remote repository? As far as I know, whenever I pull master from the remote repository, commits are likely to be generated, even if they're empty. This causes the local master to be 'forward' even if there is really nothing to push. Now, if I try (from master): git cherry origin master I have an idea of what's going to be pushed, though this also display some commits that I've already pushed. Is there a way to display only the new content that's going to be pushed?

• Transforming TT files in MsBuild

  I need to build a DSL Solution using MsBuild and want to be able to transform the TT files, I have tried the guide on http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee847423(VS.100).aspx but I am getting the following errors: Failed to resolve include text for file:{0} and also Loading the include file '{0}' returned a null or empty string. There is a page on MSDN which has these issues and there resolutions : http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb126242(VS.100).aspx but don't really give me enough information to resolve the issue. One thing to note in the error it has the following path: Error 72 Failed to resolve include text for file:C:\source\XXXXXXXX\Dsl\GeneratedCode\Dsl\ToolboxHelper.tt. Line=-1, Column=-1 Dsl but the location of the actual TT file is C:\source\XXXXXXXX\Dsl\GeneratedCode\ToolboxHelper.tt

• Retrieve object from jquery in php script

  I'm trying to rebuild an object encoded with Json but i'm not getting any value. JQuery: $.post("views/insert_tasks.php",{ clickedRows : clickrows , <?php echo "tasks:'" . json_encode($tasks) . "'"; ?> }, function(data) { }); this is the PHPcode to retrieve the object: $tasks = json_decode(stripslashes($_POST['tasks']), true); $tasks is empty after execute the code above.   I'm trying to add a Facebook "Like Box" to an existing website, as described here The Page I'm promoting works just fine in preview-box on that page. But when I copy/paste the code as shown to my website, it instead shows a fraction of an empty facebook page with only a partially visible error message. <iframe src="http://www.facebook.com/plugins/likebox.php?profile_id=SenRandyGordon&amp;width=260&amp;connections=10&amp;stream=true&amp;header=true" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowTransparency="true" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:260px; height:px"></iframe> I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong, and I added "Like Box"'s in the past, before Facebook released their new API.   Hi, I'm trying to build a web service and a client for this service. I'm using Eclipse 3.5.1 with axis2-1.4.1. I'm facing a problem: I created the web service via the web service wizard and the service shows up in the axis service list. If I porint to the wsdl - its generated. Now when I'm trying to build the client, I choose the wsdl, the client project and take the next button, well at the client web service configuration everything is empty. There is nor service name, no port name. Am I facing a bug? Anyoneelse faced something like this? Regards

• Dealing with sequences in OpenCV?

  I have 2 sequences. One (lets call this cvSeq x), which contains a number of contours (derived from cvFindContours) and a second (lets call this cvSeq y) which I have used cvCreateSeq upon, but doesn't actually have anything in it. I am looping through all the contours in x, and if a contour meets specific criteria, I add it to y. I am able to do the looping, but I don't know how to add an contour in x to y if it meets the criteria. Does anyone know how to add a contour in a sequence to another sequence (that is empty)? Code examples will be appreciated. PS: cvStartFindContours is not an option.

• MouseLeftButtonUpEvent & Bubbling in Canvas

  Hi guys, I think I'm going crazy... I have Canvas with event handlers for MouseMove & MouseLeftButtonUp. However MouseLeftButtonUp is not being fired when it happens with cursor over TextBlock that is inside canvas. (it fires just fine when I release mouse button in empty space of the canvas) I tried attaching handler via AddHandler and using regular += syntax, nothing seems to work. I tried using Canvas.CaptureMouse() but it doesnt seem to work either (CaptureMouse returns true btw). MouseLeftButtonUp just doesnt want to propagate to it's parent when it happens over TextBlock (or any other element with IsHitTestVisible = true) inside Canvas. Please help.

• How do I obtain a new stateful session bean in a servlet thread?

  I'm experimenting with EJB3 I would like to inject a stateful session bean into a servlet, so that each user that hits the servlet would obtain a new bean. Obviously, I can't let the bean be an instance variable for the servlet, as that will be shared. And apparantly injecting local variables isn't allowed. I can use the new operator to create a bean, but that doesn't seem the right approach. Is there a right way to do this? It seems like what I'm trying to do is fairly straightforward, after all, we would want each new customer to find an empty shopping cart.

• 2 large databases - worth merging into 1?

  I have 2 large databases that were sharded before. I now have removed the sharding and have created a new database with all of the data except for the tables that were originally sharded. Is it worth importing this data into the new database, or keeping them as seperate entities that I can just scan through? We are talking around 60million records in each sharded table, of which there are 2 tables. Also, whilst I have an empty table, should I be adding indexes which weren't thought of when the database was originally constructed and now too large to add them?

• How to bind a List of a DataObject to a Grid with BindingSources?

  In an assembly I created a class like the following: [DataObject(true)] public class A { public int Foo{get;set;} [DataObjectMethod[DataObjectMethodType.Select)] public static List<A> GetAllA(string ConnectionString) { // return filled List<A> } } Now I want to display this List with a Gridcontrol under Winforms. I though of a DataGrid. Though I'm coming from ASP.net I'd first think of this.dataGridView1.DataSource = A.GetAllA(ConnectionString) Works, but I'd prefer a better databinding with BindingSources. (Because I've always heard that thats the way to go) I managed to drop a BindingSource onto the form and set the DataSource property to class A. But where can I set the SelectMethod and its parameters? If I set DataSource property of the dataGridView to the BindingSource, it will only display an empty line. Is this the right way to go? Will it only require some additional clicks in the wizard, or do I need to read tons of documentation to get this working?

  I have a form which a user can fill in x times with the data they want too. The form is posted to the following Action. DataToAdd = ProdServ.EditProductOption(DataToAdd); ViewData["Message"] = "Option Changes Made"; }else { //Add DataToAdd = ProdServ.AddProductOption(DataToAdd); ViewData["Message"] = "New Option Added"; } var RetModel = new ProductOptionModel() {ProductID = DataToAdd.ProductID}; return View(RetModel); } So at the bottom I blank the model (Leaving just the required field) and then return to the view. However the view holds the data from the previously submitted form. Any ideas why? I have debugged the code and checked that the RetModel variable is empty.
