    I started a project using ARC, and I'm inserting a few objects into an NSMutableArray. The objects have all started out as NSStrings, and when attempting to add these objects into the array, I get the following error: Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: ' -[__NSArrayM insertObject:atIndex:]: object cannot be nil This array is holding several objects. Is there a quick way for me to find which of the objects I'm attempting to put into the array is nil?

However there are a couple of methods so I loop through an array of method names and call the method like this: my $methodName ="helloWorld"; $myObject->$methodNames; This works quite nice but some objects don't have all methods. How can I tell whether $myObject has a method called helloWorld or not?

  • .NET & Worflow, SqlTrackingQuery.GetWorkflows() on wire correct - presented object not

    With windows workflow when using the tracking service, the SqlTrackingQuery.GetWorkflows() method returns correctly the workflow type and assembly version on the wire from the DB query - but when one comes to query the returned SqlTrackingWorkflowInstance object it's WorkflowType.AssemblyQualifiedName property is returned as the current assembly version of the workflow type (i.e. it looks to matching on FQ type name only and not version). Anyone know how to get to the actual returned data (other than either a custom query or hook)?

    I have something like this: var test = {}; function blah() { test[2] = 'filled'; } console.log(test); //result test -> 2:"filled" console.log(test[2]); //result undefined I don't understand why I'm getting 'undefined' in the second instance when according to the first instance, the property of that object clearly exists! Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

  • managed object subclasses are not generating implementation files and are incorrectly named

    In Xcode 4.6, I generated plenty of managed object subclass files without any problem. But now that I'm trying to do it in Xcode 5, it generates only a .h file. The header file has the correct properties, but it takes the name of my project, rather than the name of the core data entity I selected. Just to be sure I hadn't forgotten something, I carefully followed these steps . What could be going on? Thanks

    Hi! I'd like to know if there's a way to verify if an index exists before getting it. So it'd be way to protect my code against: *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSRangeException', reason: '*** -[NSCFArray objectAtIndex:]: index (2) beyond bounds (0)' Like in PHP you can do: isset($object[10]); and it'll return true if it exists. Is there such a method in Objective-C/Cocoa? Thanks!

  • Reading Data from DDFS ValueError: No JSON object could be decoded

    I'm running dozens of map reduce jobs for a number of different purposes using disco. My data has grown enormous and I thought I would try using DDFS for a change rather than standard txt files. I've followed the DISCO map/reduce example Counting Words as a map/reduce job, without to much difficulty and with the help of others, Reading JSON specific data into DISCO I've gotten past one of my latest problems. I'm trying to read data in/out of ddfs to better chunk and distribute it but am having a bit of trouble.     Hey all, I have this SimpleXMLElement object with a XML setup similar to the following... $xml <<< EOX <books> <book> <name>ABCD</name> </book> </books> EOX; $sx = new SimpleXMLElement( $xml ); Now I have a class named Book that contains info. about each book. The same class can also spit out the book info. in XML format akin the the above (the nested block).. example, $book = new Book( 'EFGH' ); $book->genXML(); ... will generate <book> <name>EFGH</name> </book> Now I'm trying to figure out a way by which I can use this generated XML block and append as a child of so that now it looks like... for example.. // Non-existent member method. For illustration purposes only. $sx->addXMLChild( $book->genXML() ); ...XML tree now looks like: <books> <book> <name>ABCD</name> </book> <book> <name>EFGH</name> </book> </books> From what documentation I have read on SimpleXMLElement, addChild() won't get this done for you as it doesn't support XML data as tag value. IS this correct? Because the error is showing and am not sure why.
